We are in that space right now of understandable excitement about getting vaccinated and the prospect of travel. But until destination countries have covid firmly under control, I'm not sure how relaxing or enjoyable a vacation would be. I feel ya for sure, but maybe it's best to hold off until things are more stable overall? Life is short, but waiting a bit longer could make the whole travel experience much more satisfying.

Personally, I've never needed a level of watch function or style beyond a simple $20 Timex, but there are many people who evidently consider expensive time pieces worthy of their investment. And I understand there is a lively market for rare and limited edition watches amongst collectors.

I have not been to Brazil, but expect it may not be quite as enjoyable to travel during the pandemic. Even if your vaccine protects you against the variants, it may be wiser to wait until things are better controlled there.

Glad that you find him excellent. He blocked me unexpectedly when I first began to reach out to people just before the pandemic. Perhaps as a complete newbie I wasn't brief enough and wasted his time. I'll never know since there was no opportunity to set things right because his profile was suddenly 'inaccessible'. Oh well, apparently my loss. I wish him well and regret whatever I did that offended him, but I'm also glad that he blocked me if that is his approach with people who have very little to no experience reaching out.

I have never met with anyone yet, but was disappointed when I noticed that AnthonyPhilly in Fort Lauderdale/Miami had removed his ad from RM. Hopefully he is well, and being successful in whatever he is doing now. ?

IMHO you seem to have the perfect balance just as you are.

I think many people assume I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking, because I rarely drink and never have had a craving too. But I can easily drink most people under the table and still walk in a straight line afterward. Never been drunk yet. If I know I need to drive I don't drink at all, or maybe just a single drink over a 5 hour evening. Lost a few people in my life to drunk drivers ?

My father was always embarrased if I ordered a non-alcoholic Shirley Temple, rather than the Roy Rogers. To me the Shirley Temple tasted better and the added bonus was pissing off my father.

Wasn't there something last year about him supporting a terminally-ill parent? Or maybe I should change my name to ConfusedByNature?

I learned that I was an unloveable waste of space.... oh well, still here taking up space - LOL
