  1. Unfortunately that wasn't true for me - virtually 100% Irish background and was almost bald by 30. But I didn't grow up there...
  2. Bump...
  3. 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Each sister has 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Each brother has 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
  4. Perhaps ironically, taking legal action will keep you connected to this individual for many more months or years, and it sounds to me like a clean break may be the healthier option and one that will put needed distance between you and his toxic ways. And if he is involved in illegal activity it may be best to run in the opposite direction and try your best to leave the past in the past. I agree with @JoeMendoza about forgiveness, and also agree it can be much easier to say than do.
  5. More of a commentator than a news anchor perhaps, but Van Jones. Sorry, no photo link.
  6. I didn't realize gayness grows exponentially ?
  7. Still seeing a fair number of cars from the early 60s being driven down the street. When Mr. Hooper died on Sesame Street. The popularity of roller skating rinks. The existence of the Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc. Sunbathing without the fear of skin cancer. Ashtrays in doctor's offices. Most stores being closed on Sundays. Bench seating in cars. Every potluck or buffet including some variation of a jelly salad.
  8. An honestly representative name for me would be NeverBeenKissed. And that would basically render the next two questions moot... ???
  9. I don't even have a dance card, nevermind one that is filled ?
  10. I don't mean to make light of the situation, but the title made me think you had met up with someone a bit too well-endowed ?
  11. Tea with fancy sandwiches, Proseco, Bellinis, ABBA....
  12. He was so awesome. May he rest in peace.
  13. Also, a ship could theoretically leave Seattle and avoid Canadian waters by staying west of Vancouver Island, but this would remove the scenic journey and calmer waters of the Inside Passage. It would also contravene the maritime law/rule that cruise ships must include at least one port that is outside the country of departure.
  14. The cruise would have to be very long to incorporate a Russian port, sailing beyond the entire Aleutian archipelago. There are one-way transpacific cruises from Vancouver to Tokyo that visit the Aleutians, and the journey is about 16 nights. I would estimate a cruise that was round-trip from Seattle and visited a Russian port would be about 4 weeks long at least, with many sea days between ports.
  15. Gung Hay Fat Choy! Lai see dao loy?

  20. What a way to ruin a sandwich. Good thing he didn't want it grilled first.
  21. Back in my early teens we were all concerned about the possibility of 'nucular' war, just as scientists began to warn about the 'climactic' changes linked to greenhouse gases... and in biology we studied amoebas and other microscopic 'orgasms'.
  22. Thanks for this
  23. Thanks! That looks great - really appreciate it ?
  24. 'Sending positive energy your way'... what are we, hydroelectric dams?
