The photo wearing briefs and a leather jacket in this ad https://rentmasseur.com/James_Dean also appears in a Friendboy ad. This appears to be a guy previously discussed with *multiple* name changes and *multiple* locations. He also appears to travel with another guy who has a *Hobby* of changing his RentMen ad every few days, but mostly uses Xot.

CheckCar reacted to urbanfetish in How expected is it to "tip" masseurs?
In a spa, I tip about $40 for an hour, $60 for 90 minutes when there are extras. And the more extras, the higher the tip.
For private masseurs at their place, I tip less because they keep all of the money, but I still tip roughly 20%, especially with extras. I like to let them know I appreciate the extras. For example, I like for them to be nude during the whole massage. If the massage isn't very good or they don't offer any extras, then basically I don't tip and I won't see them again.

Jim Parsons and Zachary Quinto weren’t as strong as the actors who played their roles in the original film. And since those two characters bring so much of the drama, this remake felt a bit flat to me.

Once there is a vaccine i will be ready to resume life as I remember it. May give it a week or so to kick in. ?

I suppose we should consider the possibility that you will need more than one jab over a period of time to be vaccinated, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Dr Fauchi will keep us in the loop. ?

Sex in the 80s was a much scarier proposition than sex in the 90s. By then, everything was a known quantity. There was a point, early in the epidemic, before HIV had been discovered and isolated, when the working theory was that AIDS was caused by CMV - which is shed in copious quantities in all body fluids. The earliest safe sex guidelines recommended against even casual touching.

Most do, some don't, just ask them upfront if they're into it.

If you tell us your location we might recommend you some great kissers!

CheckCar reacted to + pdxleo in Are you traveling during this pandemic times or staying home?
I'll be traveling next month to South Florida, to do some real estate business, help my brother packing up for his move to Panama, and visit two providers in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Both guys aren't interested in travel just yet, and I wouldn't ask anyone to travel to me- but I've got no problem combining family, business, and hobby activities into one trip. The local scene here has dried up- the riots, looting, and shootings have really begun to affect this place, and I would be getting away ever if I didn't already have reasons for doing so.

IMHO it's being overlooked that the handling of the virus to date has achieved one of the most important issues- namely the slowing of the inevitable spread of infections. Social distancing (Jeez I hate that phrase) and limits on economic activity are drastic, yes, but had the spread of the virus occurred over three weeks instead of the last six months, our health care system would have collapsed- imagine the 200k dead and 2 million infected all happening in March! There's no way this country could have handled it. It's bad enough what we saw in New York, I shudder to think about every hospital in the nation dealing with that chaos?

People are gonna make their own choices- and as long as these choices are taken with thought and preparation, I'll accept that. But, the fools who just listen to the "experts" in our political system, instead of science and medicine, get what they deserve. Corona is here to stay, and we all will modify our lives to go on in spite of it. Good luck to all of us!

COVID-19 is called a pandemic because it affected a large number of people over a wide geographical area (i.e. every continent except Antarctica). Were it confined to one country (such as the United States) it would probably be called an epidemic instead.

For the first time with a guy, I also try to keep it pretty simple. A typical 1 or maybe 2 hour meeting without trying to make any extraordinary demands and keeping to whatever donation he quotes. I usually wait until a few dates and we've established chemistry before I suggest a longer meeting or some kind of kinkier thing (unless the guys himself advertises those kind of services to begin with).

But yeah just be respectful. And also truly a best practice is to go with established guys that have a good reputation. Use the board, use reviews. Don't just go for some random guy. There are a few flakes, druggies and guys with off-putting attitudes (though not as many as you might think). But the real professionals are wonderful guys and if you treat them with respect, they will do likewise.

When I arrive early (often 10-15 minutes), I usually text the provider something like "Parking was easier than I expected, and I'm nearby. Text me when you're ready... no rush."

Is this appropriate, or am I still guilty of a social faux pas?

That’s a hazard of this so-called hobby. It’s happened to me 3 times. First one was a masseur. in my naive way, I was sure it was two-sided, but eventually when I pushed for more, the let-down was crushing. The next one was an escort. Movie star quality - Mr. Perfect. And he picked up on the vibes and took me on a long, fantasy ride for over a year. And like the first one, he had met “someone” new and it was over. Yeah, after I’d taken him to Hawaii for a week, and spent gawd-knows how much $$$ on his wardrobe, sports tickets and food. Number three was even more painful. Again, Mr. Adonis was nearly perfect and we went so far as to move in together. My job changed and he had some family obligations that mysteriously appeared at the same time. So I was headed to a new city, and he was going back “home” - it was a tough breakup; but then through the wonders of social media I discovered that he found another dude within days. Moral of these stories? Escorts and masseurs are entrepreneurs- and they for the most part are wonderful people. But they are almost always not seeking a love interest in their client base.

CheckCar reacted to Scott Dixon in is there a safe way to get a massage right now?
I am 63 years old and I exercise every day--sometimes, twice a day, since the start of the pandemic. Haven't been to the gym; just using my own private equipment and riding my bike. My point is, something is sore all the time, and prior to this mess, I was receiving a massage every two weeks. My last one was February 2. Most if not all of the masseurs in my regular rotation are on hiatus until our numbers improve significantly. That's what inspires trust for me, not the ones who contact me describing all their safety protocols. So, my suggestions: Take long, hot baths; buy the vibrator; masturbate to massage videos!

Or not fine... but I have to agree. This topic will kill everybody mentally more than it will physically.

I do agree, in part, with the response to my post above about "slippery slopes" (even though I doubt individuals seeking a massage with one other individual will cause quite the same spike in cases as sporting events and rallies) and determining if you should take a risk out of necessity (a.k.a. shop for groceries) versus a "decide" issue (a.k.a. massage). Yet you can easily apply that same logic to driving a car. Should I risk death on the road and waste gasoline to go shop for groceries or visit a masseur?

There is something that does bother me with the way these conversations morph over time. Sometimes certain phobias develop into prejudices and typecasting. A masseur is not just a random stranger you bump into who may or may not be carrying The Virus. Like a doctor, nurse, dentist and hair stylist who must touch as part of the profession, he does put a lot of effort into personal hygiene and worries a lot about spreading anything he might contract to his clients. Yes, it is "safest" to stay at home and not touch or be touched by anybody. Yet touching does become as "necessary" as getting food at the store. At least the masseur will try very, very hard to make the experience "safer" even if he can't promise it will be the "safest".

Hey I totally understand, do what's best for you. I actually shed a tear when I had someone I know do the deed with me. It was insane, I had so much pent up desire that I got emotional. I wouldn't have thought something like that would've happened at all but there I was shaking, practically screaming, and the tear. It was that fucking good! It was a tender moment, he was even sweet about it and we held each other for a little bit. We didn't kiss and had masks on the whole time.

I'm optimistic that something will rise from the ashes, but I'm not sure what. But being here in the Bay Area since the 80s, I've seen a few downturns where everything went to shit, but then came the slow recovery years and those were the most interesting. The 90s were great, but also those were also my prime young adult years so maybe I'm not entirely objective.

Once commercial rents drop, people can experiment with new business concepts, and if rents are reasonable enough they have that flexibility at least for a while. Then the economy starts perking up again, rents rise, gentrification sets in and things get fancier but less funky. Unfortunately it will get worse before it gets better as more and more businesses fail from the pandemic, but for better or for worse that will create opportunities for others down the road. Maybe not bars like we've know them, but hopefully something fun and interesting.

    Facts!!!

And this definitely falls under the category of “be careful what you ask for”.

We wanted the rights of straights, but I’m sure many are thinking twice of wanting their way of life.... lol...

The underground, gay clubs of the past were tons of fun, and the fact that my only current form of social American entertainment (prior to COVID-19) is a good brunch, makes me laugh and frown at the same time.

As cities “Improve”, they lose their sleaze, but they also lose that grit and authenticity that made urban nightlife so much fun (both straight and gay nightclubs)

I’m glad I partied when I did... I never thought it would actually come to a literal END. ?
