That makes sense. Since you also know them well enough, you know what they would find agreeable.
Also makes for more fun. They’ll be more comfortable

If you're still taking suggestions, a twerking competition or some other sort of butt show would be some nice red meat to throw us butt lovers😉

Who knows, you might just end up being a matchmaker haha!

Thank you for the recap. Sounds like it was a somewhat bittersweet Holiday weekend for you, @Coolwave35.

Might be better to focus on the fun you had, rather than some of the unfortunate moments that underlined that, and at the end of the day, this is business for most of them. It seems like some of the guys here have been doing this for a bit (you as well), but we all can get caught up by a beautiful man smiling at you. I bet COVID was a huge reason people didn't show up.

It will be interesting to see how Adonis moves forward now that they have an OnlyFans account, they won't be doing AVN anymore, AND no clubs will be opened in NYC for the next, say, 3-5 months. I have a feeling they will do this monthly, and maybe have some sort of deal linking it more closely with OF.

Thanks again for your recap. Always appreciated, and feel better soon! I know you're probably still a bit in your feels. *hugs*

I think what's being shown as a real boon for indoor anything is ventilation:

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/coronavirus-spread-building-ventilation-covid-19-study/

The more places do that, the more places of all kinds will open. What I think will be interesting will be the hours of operation. Having a strip club closing at 10, 11, or even 12 midnight would put it in competition with other establishments because you won't be able to go to the movies AND go to the strip club the same night (for example).

I also wonder about social distancing. Some places (Like Buff Daddy in Long Island) have the space, but other places probably won't, at least to have the right amount of guys for patrons/right amount of guys for dancers for it to be worthwhile.

I think when they all come back though, they will be getting business. Like Buff Daddy said, people are tired of being home (and untouched).

Dginnz reacted to big-n-tall in Clients/Providers: Have either side ever "fallen" for someone?
Some of my regular providers have told me about their dating of clients. So, yes, clients and providers have fallen for each other. I don't know what the overall percentage is of this occurring. Nor can I tell you how well these relationships work out. I do think the overall percentage of clients/providers being in serious relationships with each other is relatively small.

One provider told me he dated a client for years before they split. I can't recall why he said they broke up. There was a posting by one forum member (in the Lounge section) talking about how he fell for a provider and he documented a lot of the relationship which didn't end well.

In my case, I have fallen for a provider. I have talked about it multiple times on the forum before. He and I aren't dating per se, but we talked about it a lot. There are a few obstacles in the way before we could really start dating earnestly. However, we are both open to seriously giving it a go. He made the first move in terms of moving the relationship beyond being in just a client/provider relationship. At first, I was kind of skeptical. Although, I was clearly falling for the guy. I knew he was serious when he began refusing to take a fee for meetups (we spent hours and sometimes half a day or night together with no money exchanged) and when he told me I was no longer his client. He even said he hadn't thought of me as a client for some time. We talk multiple times a week and sometimes daily. We are going slow and I don't know where this dance will end. I told him the most important thing is to remain friends, whether we date or not. He agreed.

I think we both understand we need to sort some things out (i.e. distance from each other) before we could be official. I haven't seen him consistently like I have seen other providers. So I can't say why we connected the way we did. There aren't any lessons learned yet, but I think the approach we are taking works for us.

Dginnz reacted to Epigonos in Most memorable escort?
Hands down nobody really even comes close -- Todd L.A. Sexually he reminded me of a rambunctious puppy. I can still see him standing naked at the other side of by bedroom. Suddenly he would make a running dive on to my bed. Once on the bed his first comment was always “god I love sex with a man”. He was a semi successful actor and thus didn’t want to meet in public in his own neighborhood. He always drove to my place. I would prepare an overly large dinner and send him home with the leftovers. He had a very handsome face, a chiseled body and a beautiful cock. I vividly remember one time when he was sucking me off – I was just about to cum and warned him. He paused for a moment and then stated “so cum” which I proceeded to do in his mouth. From that point on we always came in each other’s mouths. We got together every other month for two plus years. He found a partner and stopped escorting. His partner’s gain and definitely my loss. He is the only escort I’ve ever meet that I can honestly say that had I been thirty years younger I would have made a definite play for him. At the time he was thirty and I was sixty – too many years difference. Sorry if this overly long commentary resembles a review BUT damn I do miss him and I haven's seen him in eighteen years.

I have been in situations like this more than once. I've now made my expectations match the frequency of this, so I assume that, out of 10, a photo of a guy is how he looks "+2." I'm usually right because performers will take a photo when they're at their absolute best, and no one can look like that 24/7.

If the guy is really off from his photo, I leave. You just out and out lied to me, and if we're going to do intimate things, some foundation of trust is important to me.

If he's only slightly off, I generally still leave. You'll never see him again, he knows nothing about you, and only you two shared those messages and the reveal/let-down. You also have to think that you'll be paying money if you go through with it. Are you ok with giving him pity money? FOr absolute strangers, more often than not it's a "no."

If he's better than the photos, he might just see me again, if he has a good follow-through...

Obviously, there are people who fulfill the stereotype of the "fucked up" sex worker, and there are others that do not. I think both sides are trying to make this black and white.

I think there is a large plurality of male providers who are straight. I wouldn't be surprised if it were actually the majority. We can get into what defines someone as "straight" or not, but that's probably a different topic. Point is, having to do gay "stuff" with someone you don't want will have an impact on you in the same way having to do something at your job for a living that you don't want to do would have an impact.

I'm not an old "grandpa." I'm under 30 and have paid for providers since I was about 21 for a variety of reasons (one being how intimidating and downright mean younger gays can be). Providers are usually surprised by my age and build and oftentimes joke that they thought I would be "an old white guy." That leads me to believe many clients are indeed "old white guys." They don't say it as a bad thing necessarily, but to be honest, in our society, older white men are those that tend to have the disposable income to pay for services.

As far as mental health for providers, I've met many different kinds. If I were to pull a description out of a hat though of a hustler I've met I would say generally he:

Is straight, but wouldn't mind topping necessarily (not without viagra)
    Has a lot of restrictions
Does not have a lot of prospects
    Needs quick money like NOW
Uses drugs of some kind. Not hard drugs, but likely some sort of medication for something, which generally compounds their predicament because pills are expensive but they need it in part to "chill out" after having to come to the realization that at the end of the day, they're allowing nameless men to play with them by the hour.

I have nothing against providers. I used to be one lol. There are some who you can go all the way with, others with lots of hangups, still more who need to numb the pain of their life choices, and others who might just be your soulmates.

Someone upthread also tried to delineate between hustlers, rentboys, prostitutes, sex workers, and providers. I think that's absolutely necessary.

I've been there a few times. I'm very sad to see it go, as it was the only male-focused strip club in the DC area that I knew of. The drag shows downstairs were also fun, though that area was a bit too large for one drag queen to really own the space imo.

The last time I went was around 2018, but I remember there always seeming to be a lot more rules there than some other venues in other cities I've been. Maybe it was DC's strict rules, but it was almost like going to a museum at times than a dancer club: No touching, cagey about full nudity, no lap dance room, etc.

There'll always be a supply and demand for this sort of stuff, so I wonder where/how that will change with Z closing. There may be weekly parties, but I/most people wouldn't know about them, how to get invited, who to talk to, etc. I keep hearing about parties, for example, but I don't do this stuff with people, so I don't know how to get on any lists, despite wanting the same things...

Things seem to be moving more underground, more about escorts, more private, and less about strippers and the large established places where people can go. But I guess that's a larger topic
