Tips at spas
I agree with @beethoven that tipping at spas is very important. The spa takes a big cut. The masseurs are working for tips. I try to tip cash directly (and discreetly) to the employee. At a spa in the US, I tip $50 - $100 for a massage even if I'm unhappy with the service. It's a moral obligation, like tipping a waiter (in the US). Whatever the business charges you, the person taking care of you is working for tips. If you don't tip, you're stealing.

This crosses over to another set of threads that are related, but the behaviors in general are still a complete head-scratcher to me. I mentioned keeping you eye out for the sneak. Well, tonight, my dear canine friend Mr. Bear was the sneak. He passed just about when I finished my previous post. All week long I have been preparing.
