I don’t think there will be much impact.

Yes, thanks for the reminder!  That's why I always check for references or reviews here first before I take the plunge.

These boards never fail to amaze, intrigue, and delight. I keep feeling that I should be less surprised at what clients and providers encounter since I’ve been hiring for two decades but an essay like this comes along and titillates me anew.

I'm going to have to start writing 6 paragraph long dissertations on meeting guys and then when I get challenged on it, I'm going to claim the questions are random.  LOL.

No. A random question would have been this: "What's the dick size of the ex-boyfriend?"
Specific questions about your own description of events are never "random." Maybe you think that they're simply too pointed and annoying for you.
But don't try to call them "random." That's a typical refuge of trolls who don't want to be accountable for what they write.

imagine doing drugs with a provider and then complaining that the provider is on drugs.

My advice. Keep this anonymous. It doesn't make either of you look good.

There are so many strange parts to this story.   Why were YOU having issues staying awake?
(At that time I was still 73% zonked, and although I had remained conscious throughout, he claimed that it was I who had gone completely under!)
I know you said you're not going to answer "random" question - but I thinks this is not random at all and goes to the heart of your post.

I suppose danger can be exciting, but the eventual result is not all that different from being a rescuer: self-destructive. Good luck.

Not going to answer random questions... Accept the evidence as it stands! Sometimes I roll the dice with strangers because there is something (inharmoniously) alluring about them. Sometimes I'm just seeking to expand my research database. And I did make an emotional connection here, even though it didn't lead to anything enduring or particularly meaningful.

It’s totally pushy. It reads pushy and I agree with you. He brought it up after we had an incredible session and were all finished.   He said “I wasn’t sure how this was going to go with your “not 12:07” text message”. And then we laughed about it. But he, like all of the others, got there on time.

the thing with making provider appointments weeks in advance is the very high-probability of cancellations.  Appointments w providers typically aren’t given same priority as doctor/dentist/attorney appointments- things that have to get done.  Provider appointments are entirely elective & it’s the first thing cancelled when travel plans change, family commitments come-up, job requirements, unforeseen emergencies or the time just becomes inconvenient. Many clients don’t have long-term relationships w the providers so they will cancel without the same courtesies they give to doctors/dentists/lawyers, etc  it’s just someone they don’t know - not all of course, but many.
To each their own - I just don’t like to waste anyone’s time, including mine until I know nothing will get in the way either same day or day before.  I really can’t plan weeks ahead on being horny at a specific day & time, nor do I know my body will cooperate either.
Plus, when making same day or day before - the provider knows you’re more likely serious. Thats just the way it works.
Scheduling travel with a provider for several days or maybe booking a weekend would be the only time I’d contact weeks in advance.

All of my hires typically go the same way. I only ever hire same day. It limits my options, but I am not the type of person who can meal prep knowing on Sunday that Wednesday I’ll want lasagna.
When I set up same day appointments I am usually able to give 6-12 hours notice. I send a general inquiry asking if the provider is available “tonight.”  They choose the time that works for them, or they turn me down. If I’m asking the provider to pick the time, and not counter offering, or negotiating, then it’s my opinion that they should choose a time they can accommodate and then accommodate it.
Exceptions are last minute requests I make when I’m unexpectedly horny. Then my initial inquiry looks something like. “Hi.  I noticed Rentmen says you’re available, or I normally wouldn’t text at this hour. If you’re able to complete a 1 hour session by 2am tonight, I’ll pay you twice your fee as a thank you for making it happen.” And I’m ok if they’re later than they initially expected since they essentially had no time to plan.

Like a charm. Every time. In my view, it’s setting limits which is really important when hiring. If I’m not comfortable telling a provider it’s important that he’s on time, how can I tell him I like when he does xyz to my abc with his you know what.

    Also. Who was it?

You are making an assumption that he ghosted you for reasons that have to do with you. It’s also possible that he ghosted you for his own personal situation- like maybe he’s sick, depressed, fueling an addiction, dealing with family issues etc. I would not take it personally. Shake it off and go elsewhere
