This guy does have a history, but let's keep the politics out of this. He has a good rep as a provider and I'm glad coolwave had a great time. Clients may want to verify with him that politics chat is off-limits!

I get that inflation affects everyone.  I can tell you that I didn't get a 25-33% raise recently, though, so trying to rationalize an increase from $300 to $400 per hour or $400 to $500 per hour doesn't make sense.  That being said, this is a market where providers can charge whatever they want and clients can decide to hire or not.  Sadly, my recent salary increases haven't even kept pace with inflation.

In my little backwater, the rate for an hour is still at $300. I hate to negotiate with these guys, but if I start getting requests for $400+, I'll just jack off and call it a day. 

Just because you make an inquiry doesn't mean we have to book. I've been labeled a big 'time waster' because I do my due diligence, which of course the fraudsters don't like.
