Going back to the subject of serial stalkers. I feel very bad for  @Daniel84. It's a very traumatic experience to have run into a psycho like that.
    HOWEVER
    Let's do a reality check.
WHENEVER you run a business that deals with the general public, you ARE at risk of running into a psycho. Whether you are selling ice cream or selling your ass, the risk is the same(ish). There are a few really crazy, unhappy psychos out there who get their jollies out of pissing on people ( and I don't mean golden showers )...so you need to strategize a layer of protection between you and the psycho. Now, Danny is not selling fried chicken at KFC in a poor neighborhood, so bullet-proof glass isn't an option. He is selling INTIMACY. So he is meeting complete strangers in a private setting that puts him at RISK when he encounters the occasional angry nut-job. The delicate balance of what to do IS somewhere between all the complications of navigating the perception of PRIVACY that people desire, who hire and the consideration that a sex-worker may want to NOT allow that person to have complete anonymity. I completely agree with @BOZO T CLOWN. The strategy of asking for a deposit is going to cut into your client base. I am NOT paying a deposit and that's because TOO MANY providers ( I didn't say "ALL") are con-artists. There are more con-artists stealing your deposit than there are psycho clients who plan to kill you and eat you.
@purplekow has the best advice. Meet in a PUBLIC place BEFORE you go let him fuck you in the ass, or vice/versa.  As @MakeMeCowboy points out, THIS gives you a minute to look for those crazy-eyes.  If you can't spot "crazy-eyes", @Daniel84, then you are in the wrong business.
In spite of what some people may say...there are FAR TO MANY ( notice I didn't say "all") providers who use deposits as a scam. So THAT is NOT an answer to the problem.
TRUST is the issue here and TRUST works both ways to TRUST is what you are marketing and TRUST is what you NEED from your customers. If you can't spot a person who is inconsiderate of your humanity enough to trust them, then deposits aren't going to help you.

Find a way to analyze your customers that doesn't cut in to their realm of privacy and doesn't cut into your bottom line ( deposits )
@FrankR gave GOOD advice: "Eventually they will get bored and move on" ( to another victim ). FEAR is what they are trying to illicit, so don't give them what they want. Stay ABOVE the nonsense, don't be affected at all. These types of people who are suffering from a degree of mental illness are typically jealous and can't stand to see a young, handsome man succeed as a provider, because they are an ugly troll who is so repugnant of personality that even a PAID companion will reject them. They are sad, pathetic and ANGRY about their situation. Do not fear them, because they have no strength but to TRY and use fear as strength. They are afraid themselves as they can't find anyone to want them. Most aren't actually going to harm you, they are only going to try and make you afraid of being yourself, going about your business and providing joy for men who have a little extra money and are craving your kindness and your plump little butt.
You go about your business, and be selective about the types of conversations that illicit TRUST for YOU...and as @purplekow mentioned, bring some protection for when you miscalculate. ( and I don't mean a condom ).
Good luck. You've GOT this !!

I'm absolutely more likely to engage a provider 40+
If desperate, 35 is the absolute youngest. I like men, not boys. There are any number of reasons - the same that I do not seek social relationships with young gay men. Communication styles demand a learning curve from both of us.
I loved having a long career working alongside performers (and other artists) aged 14- 90, and will gladly hang out with my niece and nephews 20-30's.
On my dime, it's adults only.

My experience is very limited. I’ve only been hiring for a short time! But I am selective when it comes to the age of my provider. Being 64, my provider needs to over 30. Love the guys over 40, 50 and 60, as well! Because of my age, I feel like I am robbing the cradle, if I hire a twenty something! 🤣

I don't think anybody has made any assumptions. You asked, and people have answered. And surprisingly there seems to be a common consensus. But neither being less, same or more selective is neither good nor bad. These are all personal choices. It was a very good question to ask. It's given me and probably others food for thought. I've had to reflect back on a lifetime of gay sex and hiring since my first hire was just days after turning 19! Nobody is judging here I don't think. I'm appreciating everybody's feedback.

I had another look at Booking.coms rates today since they sent me a follow up email after I didn’t go through with booking my stay with them. I had made a mistake and their rates weren’t twice those the hotel offered but they were $100 for the 2 nights.

So I’m glad I booked directly with the hotel and got a better room. And the $100 saving will pay for the gas to get to Toronto. Lol

Humpty Dumpty tells Alice, "When I use a word... it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less".
That’s what tantric massage means. So I suggest you ask the masseur to explain what’s included, in simple words. If there’s a lot of references to Lingam, energy, chakras and sacred stuff you might want to ask him to translate it to more plain language.  It will include breathing work, massage on and around your genitals and other intimate areas and will most likely be done naked. It doesn’t necessarily include a happy ending…

Greg250 reacted to BSR in The Ups and Downs of Airlines and Air Travel
I had a surprisingly nice flight from Barcelona->Bogotá on Air Europa, an airline I had never heard of before, even though It’s Spain’s 3rd biggest airline.  I picked it without hesitation over Iberia because it was 900€ cheaper, 1300€ vs.2200€.  Also, as much as Iberia claims to be a luxury airline, I have found that they’re just not that great.
It was my first time in a 787, not that it felt any different from any other plane.  The first meal was the best I’ve ever had in the air, although I’ve flown business only on United, Iberia, Etihad, and Aerolíneas Argentinas.  My only mild complaint was no hot flight attendants.  Iberia has a lot of male flight attendants, and I swear they must hire them off Grindr.

Greg250 reacted to DznNYC in Has anyone paid to unexpire a person's ad?
I have literally always wondered this question.
And for the first time in my life on RentMen, I've let my profile expire.  I have unrelated seasonal work that makes it all but impossible to see clients - apart from the occasional existing regular - during November and December.  I've struggled with how to manage this.  Do I keep my face and name out there for when I'm back at it in January?  Or is that just promoting a brand around the idea of Unavailable?  Also, RentMen is an expensive racket for a provider.  Between gold memberships and platinum boosts, it's a lot!   So it feels like an unjustifiable expense at this point.
The point being: for the first time ever, I'm a viable recipient for this gift!  🎉
That said, the question of this topic remains.  Why would anyone ever do that for me?  Literally no idea.  A tip/bonus from a happy client?  Makes perfect sense.  A material gift from a happy client?  Makes perfect sense.  This one... I honestly can't imagine it's a thing.
But definitely expect my ad on your front page in January, New York.  Paid for by yours truly...

Greg250 reacted to + purplekow in Getting into working out/weight lifting, need help.
After my recent move to Palm Springs, I decided to commit to working out as an aid to health and an aid to meeting people.  In the past, I have worked out for weeks and even months at a time but always gave up.  I have hired a trainer through a gym, but the trainers did not stay with that gym long enough to establish a good rapport.  Now, I hired a private trainer at the gym and I sse him two days a week.  If nothing else, I get those two days in but more usually it is 5 days a week and on some days, water aerobics in my pool.  Even though I am doing okay financially, the cost of the trainer and the gym is significant but definitely worth it.  I am assured that I will go and now the routine has set in such that when I miss a day, I miss the experience of the exercise.
I am about twice the age of the OP and I wish I had been more diligent about exercise earlier.  Invest in a trainer, even if it is once a week for only a few months.  It will help you develop a routine with good form and consistency.  BTW. Do not skip leg days.  Everyone hates leg day. Just check out many of the well built guys at the gym and many will have great upper bodies and legs that seem disproportionately small.  But especially as you age, leg strength and flexibility becomes more and more important so do the leg day even if you feel your legs are doing well.

All of my life Remembrance Day has been a significant day for Canadians.  More significant than what I've observed in the USA.  I think Canadians may feel a greater sense of connection to WWI and WWII because Canada entered those conflicts when they began, and not part-way through.  That said, the treatment of veterans here needs to improve, and the importance of the day needs to be communicated better to younger generations who take it for granted that they have never had to go to war.

No one prepared me for how difficult it is to direct a urinary stream as you get older. In the house I just sold, I had a urinal and that made for an easy and clean urination.  I miss that urinal about as much as I miss the bowl these days.

I’ve a few regular clients who like to finger me. It’s intriguing when I see a client and he starts to explore back there because usually they’re more interested in playing with my cock as I massage them. They’ll touch me and test if it’s ok so I add a bit of lube to my hole and next time he touches he can feel I’m lubed up so it’s a signal for him to go in properly. Clients love to hear me groan with pleasure as I massage them…kind of turning the tables.
I think @marylander1940is correct in saying it can hurt though if for example his nails aren’t short or especially if he just pushes in and out. It’s better to insert and leave it there, applying pressure on and off to the prostate. When withdrawing do it slowly. Just thrusting your finger or fingers in and out is definitely not good!
