  1. Gentlemen - let’s all take a deep breath. All are welcome…..
  2. ☺️
  3. My theory is that there is a type that catches your eye, but that’s not necessarily the type you go home with. In my case, a Kurt Marshall-type is the one that catches my eye and gets me going (yes, I came out in the 80’s…😎), but I only went out with a guy who looked like him once. He was a dreamboat (high school linebacker turned musician, with ankles of helium), but there was no spark and I never went down that path again. But I still look at those guys - every time!
  4. Completely agree, and I would never get on that table. But for the record, I have no issue with watching those two go at it on that same table!
  5. As for restaurants, it’s off the beaten path but I’m a huge fan of “Primrose” on 11th St. NE. Nice atmosphere, great cocktails, and creative food. You may also want to consult the Washington Post’s 2022 Best Restaurants list, recently published. https://www.washingtonpost.com/food/interactive/2022/best-restaurants-in-dc-2022/
  6. That Jamie was so damn hot!
  7. @nycman if you can get a nonstop to San Diego, it’s an excellent option. The two hours you spend driving from SAN to PSP offset the time you lose changing planes in PHX, DFW, or DEN. (To say nothing of potentially misconnecting or losing your bags!). And as others have said, avoid LAX.
  8. @Penn7 Did you take the plunge? I’m heading there next month and looking at options. Thks.
  9. So sad about ONJ. I’m surprised that no one has mentioned her appearance in “Sordid Lives” - what a hoot! I only saw one obit mention her marriage to that handsome Matt Latanzi. Whatever happened to him, BTW? And does anyone remember that movie where he did a naked swim in a pool?
  10. I’m a fan of Jay’s. I agree with @Michael PhD that he is not true deep tissue, but the pressure is good, he’s well trained, has a very nice home set-up, and is very good with stretching (which I really like). On my first trip to LV, some work colleagues and I had a good night at the craps tables. On a whim, I decided to splurge on Jay’s 4-hour package in my hotel room. It was indulgent and incredible, especially if you are looking to be pampered with a truly sensual (not erotic) experience. I’ve since seen him for several 90 or 120 minute sessions and never been disappointed.
  11. I think it is a 1961 Sedan DeVille.
  12. I suggest you reach out to Paul. https://rentmasseur.com/MassagePaul I was in DC around the time I was prepping for the 2014 Gay Games and found him to be very knowledgable about the athletic body (he’s a former dancer, IIRC). He gave a great sports massage and had a very playful streak, which I’m guessing you might like 😉
  13. Make that three of us. I’d like to forget the entire experience.
  14. @samhexum Completely agree about Joe G. I’d also heard from Chicago friends that he was pretty gifted up front, and that he has a gay brother. Can anyone confirm?
  15. Friends stayed there two weeks ago. It is indeed lovely, and Kent (the GM) is excellent.
  16. Charlie - if your spouse has (or may develop) mobility issues, you may want to consider the plug-in hybrid Chrysler Pacifica. I know the rep on a minivan is pretty dreadful, but I am friends with a gay couple that needed easy step-in and low floors for their elderly pets and found they love it. They get 35-40 miles on a charge which means their around town trips are gas-free, and have a very comfortable ride on long trips. They also have the top-of-the-line version which is a lot nicer than the 90’s minivans that my brothers and their families had back in the day. Good luck.
  17. A friend told me that there’s also a gay swim meet in town that weekend. Could be interesting for those attending….
  18. IIRC, Paul will do a two-hour session and should meet all your requirements. He’s also a very nice man and incredibly fit. https://rentmasseur.com/MassagePaul
  19. @JoeMendoza You need to keep an eye on Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo. OMG. He’s a hottie.
  20. Agree with Michael PhD about Jay. I’ve seen him several times, most recently last summer, and he’s excellent.
  21. @7829v Draping was optional (I was not draped), and, while I don’t have the glute or abductor issues that our old friend @capitano had, I do not recall any reticence about Sean going anywhere where the work was needed.
  22. Wasn’t there a place on Wycliff Ave. in Dallas back in the 80’s,that was sort of in a strip shopping center? Not having lived there since then, I have no idea if it’s still there. And what about Gentry in Chicago?
  23. My mother was 20 when this happened, and living in Connecticut. She taught all her kids to look for the exit whenever we went in any public building and know our escape route, referring to her memory of the Cocoanut Grovel fire. And I still do it!
  24. WilliamM - you are a very fortunate man! I don’t know if I found “Rose’s Turn” or the end of Act I in “Sunday” to be more breathtaking (both in Regional Productions), but can’t imagine seeing Merman, Patinkin, and Peters do them!
  25. Okay, I may be in the minority here, but massage therapy is a legitimate occupation, so why would I embarrass myself or my provider by saying hello to him? From reading this forum, I realize that some providers are closer to sex workers than therapists, but I feel like ignoring the more “legitimate” ones would be equivalent to shaming them for their line of work. What am I missing?
