Any recent experiences with Aussie Alex in Denver?
curt gregory replied to HDfun's topic in Spas & Masseurs
Yes, for a price. It’s been a few years, but my recollection is that the upsell was 50-100% depending on the desired service. @dfw2sfo, did you have a similar experience? -
As a former DC resident, I can *guarantee* that there will be huge demand.

Premium prices and a super-premium upsell. -
There’s a well-written article in “The Atlantic” about Boeing. Worth reading if you are interested. Not sure if it is paywalled or not. Boeing and the Dark Age of American Manufacturing - The Atlantic WWW.THEATLANTIC.COM Somewhere along the line, the plane maker lost interest in making its own planes. Can it rediscover its engineering soul?

This was from back when Indiana University had the best college swim team in the country. (It’s where Mark Spitz swam.) And some of these boys are *handsome*!

What do escorts do after they leave the profession?
curt gregory replied to Constantine's topic in The Lounge
I don’t know if he ever escorted, but Scott Cullens now runs a high-end design/build firm in Palm Springs. -
That looks like the Chicago skyline. Was this taken from Northwestern University?

@Shoedog112 Before talking to the dealer about the value of your trade-in, take the car to a CarMax and have them tell you what they would buy it for. (It takes less than an hour, and you can make an appointment ahead of time.). That price will be good for 7 days. Then, when you go to the dealer to finalize the purchase, you will know what you can get for your car and counter their trade-in offer. Like you, I have never wanted to sell my old car myself, but I hate to leave money on the table and found this to work well for me in the past.

Ideally, you’ll find the person that’s got it and is spreadin’ it around.

WRT Descanso, I will add that Kent, the general manager, runs an excellent operation. All my friends that have stayed there raved about the service level and attention to detail.

Prior to Covid, I was seeing a massage therapist semi-regularly; over time, we got more comfortable with each other and began having sex regularly as part of the sessions. At the same time, we were friendly, but not friends. When the pandemic hit, we were both not working and going a little nuts, so one day I reached out and asked if he wanted to go bike riding, just to burn off some energy and have someone to talk to. This transitioned into hiking and other safe outdoor activities, leading to a friendship that I did not expect. Once we could restart our massage sessions, the sex returned as well, but only as part of the overall business transaction. I told him that, from my perspective, the sex is, and continued to be, optional, as I truly enjoyed his massage work. He has now moved and left the business, but we continue to stay in contact. I am grateful for his friendship.

Love, love, love Alice Ripley: “Next to Normal” and especially “Side Show”. And of course “Next to Normal” also had Aaron Tveit 😍 -
Met a guy who was dating my best friend while I was in grad school. Felt guilty as hell when he broke up with my buddy, but we the started the hottest long-distance relationship - sex in moving cars, long, romantic love letters (with actual stamps!), and my first try at phone sex. And he was all the marbles: sweet, smart, caring, and sexy. But when I graduated, I had great offers in several cities but I couldn’t find a job in his town. He decided that he didn’t want to keep the distance thing going, and I didn’t want to risk trying to find another job with a big loan payment hanging over my head. I work hard at not regretting decisions I’ve made, but I think a lot about that one. And I kept the letters…..

United Auto Workers strike and how it would affect the economy!
curt gregory replied to marylander1940's topic in The Lounge
There are a number of unions that I don’t have a lot of patience for - airline pilots and baseball players, to name two. But I think of unions as being on the front lines for the rest of us in a lot of ways…almost like the way drag queens were for us gays back in the day; willing to stand up for their rights and demand things that ultimately make things better for the rest of us. The workers that *really* need unions are the poor folks that work in meatpacking plants, pluck chickens for Perdue, and other dirty, dangerous, repetitive jobs. I guess Augustus would just have their employers move to right-to-work states, but those states are the same ones that don’t protect workers health and safety. That’s not a coincidence. As for the UAW, I agree that they’re asking for a lot. But the thing is, they’re not going to get what they’re asking for, and I think an agreement will be reached. Frankly, if the Senior execs turned down some of the massive pay packages they have gotten, a lot of this problem would go away. One final thing: why is it only the union guys who get blasted for their pay rates? FWIW, I want to see real estate developers, hedge fund guys, and the private equity people pay the same tax rates that these UAW guys pay, since these union guys actually *work*for a living, making products that you and I actually use. Rant over. As a native midwesterner who recalls the days when lots of well-paying factory jobs made for stable towns and stable factories, this topic gets me worked up. Thanks for hearing me out. -
For those of you visiting Palm Springs, I highly recommend a trip to the Desert Premium Outlets about 25 minutes west on the 10. They have a Frette outlet that brings the price down from “astronomical” to “Macy’s Hotel Collection after their first markdown”, and will ship for free so you don’t need to check a bag at PSP.

How much does it cost to be a sugar daddy?
curt gregory replied to Constantine's topic in The Lounge
@Archangel That retainer looks like one of those contraptions used by your sadist…. I mean orthodontist to continue to slowly move your teeth over time once the braces are off. My guy used one of those for about a year, adjusting the teeth once a month, and they would hurt for a week every time. Hated that guy. And my Advil usage went way up. -
IMHO, I’m not sure that your friend needs to wait for Pride as the desert is filled with older gays all year. In some respects, Pride might be a poor time to visit as there are lots of visitors (of all ages), and also a lot of visiting professionals (and therefore lots of competition). As for his age, 60-year-olds are considered chicken in PS, so he should be fine.

My dermatologist seems to really enjoy giving me a thorough full-body scan each year. And, yes, his hand does linger when checking out the front and cupping my dick and balls. The guy’s no heart-stopping beauty but, tbh, I have to say that I don’t mind the attention.

What about the bathing scene in “A Room With a View”? Loved that.

He knew the way to San Jose - Burt Bacharach has died
curt gregory replied to CuriousByNature's topic in The Lounge
My mother must’ve known I was gay since she had a 10-year-old boy belting out “One Less Bell to Answer” while singing along to the first 45 RPM record he ever bought….. -
That man was damned handsome in “A Room With a View.” Such a delightful movie, and surprisingly funny. And that skinny-dipping scene….

“Jamocha Shake? A small has 590 calories and 82g of sugar.” Marc - you say that like it’s a bad thing 😂 in all seriousness, that’s probably why they’re so damn tasty, and why it’s a good thing I don’t take a lot of long driving trips!

Jamaica shake from Arby’s. It sounds crazy, and I won’t eat anything else from there, but when I’m on a long trip I’ll try to gas up at an exit that has an Arby’s. They’re delicious 😋
