Greece Re-Opened to travel from the US yesterday as planned and the EU is coming out with a "digital vaccine certificate".(?)
 
Coincidentally (and happily for me) United is starting up a 1st-time Washington-to-Athens nonstop. Combined with the new non-stop to Dubrovnik, Croatia from Newark, this makes for a very tempting summer open-jaw of the most beautiful islands. Now to find the connections from Greece to Dubrovnik or Montenegro without going through Zagreb.

We need the government`s approval to open and when those restrictions are lifted, hopefully, the USA/Canadian border will open too. We are looking forward to seeing everyone this summer.

Not disinterested, but British Air thinks UK/US travel is approaching and that the May 17 date for Europe to open to travel is still on track. LINK
 
British Airways Chief Executive Sean Doyle said there was an “immediate opportunity” to open up routes to the United States, given the fast pace of vaccine roll outs in both countries.
Britain’s aviation minister Robert Courts said on Wednesday that while the government did want to unlock travel, he could not offer airlines more clarity yet. The government would give more details in early May, he said.
Heathrow chief executive John Holland-Kaye was also more circumspect, predicting a “patchy” re-opening of travel with long-haul journeys more likely.“There is less chance of being able to fly to Europe in the next few months than there is of flying to the US or Israel or the Caribbean or Singapore,”
 
I know from shuttling friends that the 2 Washington/London flights on BA have been operating consistently almost-full throughout the pandemic (even when condensed to one flight). Since the UK is independent of the EU now and both the US and UK have very high vaccination rates, I expect US/UK travel with tests but without quarantine to open before May 17 when intra-EU and UK travel is supposed to open. (ESTA's have been being issued and honored for months and the only rule is a EU traveler not having been in the EU for 14 days prior to coming into the US).
 

I hope you purchase the car. I bought my Model 3 about 3 months ago and I love it. I even drove it from LA to Palm Springs recently and had a great time driving the car during the whole trip.

Prague is a beautiful city and a bargain. Many think the most beautiful and the best bargain.

I'm about to be fully vaccinated and once that happens I will feel fine hiring any escort. The answer to the question is of course I would feel even safer with another fully vaccinated individual but I wouldn't be deterred from hiring someone who wasn't yet. My brother last month went on a camping trip with some friends and someone in the group had covid as a few days later him and I believe everyone else in the group tested positive. The only one who didn't was his girlfriend who was the only one fully vaccinated. So it does work!

It's cold and dreary but the Czech guys are still home from Christmas instead of being flung from Zurich to Zanzibar and appreciative of clients, even though some don't advertise in Prague. Hotels are easier and cheaper too. I usually go May and December.

Back to Chicago, I am glad that I made it to Palm Springs last weekend and got to enjoy some time with this amazing group of guys. It was my first time in there and I know for sure that I’ll have many more future visits. Thank you Oliver for hosting a lovely pool party.

The first Palm Springs Weekend actually was held in February, but it was a high-toned event of intellectual conversations, with no nude frolicking around a pool. Then Oliver got involved.....and suddenly more people wanted to attend.

I'm going to make an uneducated prediction here. If Oliver decides to host the Palm Springs Weekend again next year I would guess that it would be the weekend of April 9th and 10th. The Weekend would never be planned to coincide with Easter Sunday which in 2022 is April 17h thus that weekend is out. Oliver always departs Palm Springs for the drive home to the Midwest on May 1st and needs time to pack and prepare so it would NOT be held after Easter. Weather also plays a factor so I wouldn't expect to have it held in either February or March -- those months have frequent spells of cool weather not particularly conducive to pool events.
Please keep in mind that I'm guessing here and NOT speaking for Oliver.
