Theres an exception to every rule.

As this discussion (and many, many similar discussions in the past) demonstrate, there simply is no rule when it comes to sensual/erotic massages.  As someone uncomfortable in situations where expectations are not clear,  it took me a while to accommodate to the ambiguities.  But I now relish not knowing in advance exactly how things are going to develop.

I never bring up explicit sexual expectations in a first conversation, although I do ask whether the masseur works in the nude.   Over the years I have experienced pretty much everything at one time or another during a massage, only once with an upcharge.  In that case, the masseur took advantage of my aroused condition to offer something for an additional fee; I agreed and regretted it afterwards...it was a distinctly lackluster experience.

Bottom line: no matter how much advice you get here, you will not know exactly what's going to happen in advance.  Just jump in with some recommended guys.  After your first few experiences, you'll get the hang of it.  Good luck and have fun!

  2. My go-to masseur in Fort Lauderdale retired a few years ago.  He had strong hands, good massage technique, and worked the erotic changes like a master,  integrating erotic touch and more throughout the massage.  If you know someone like this in the Fort Lauderdale area, please shoot me a private message with details.

I do look through the postings here, but the information is usually too skimpy to make a judgment.  I've often been disappointed.

    Thanks in advance.

Moreover, I will never understand why 90 minutes should be more than 50% more expensive that 60 minutes. That just doesn't make sense, you'd expect it to be 50% and most likely a little less.

A masseur once told me that a longer session takes more energy and leaves him more tired. (His charges were in line with your expectation; he was explaining why he didn't do 2-hour sessions.)

...those days of hot Canadian escorts and strippers in Vancouver is so very long gone...I started focusing my attention on Montreal till the Village also took a bad turn...

IIRC, Matt traveled a fair amount for business.  Certainly Juan B did. I suspect that even in the good old days, it wasn't easy to make a living as an escort working solely out of Vancouver.

As for Montreal,  while the clubs have declined, the number of escorts has skyrocketed (at least one bartender I know thinks these are linked phenomena).

Today I received an email from Quebec offering to schedule my second Monkeypox vaccination. I received my first in mid-July. It was easy to register on-line and I have an appointment in late October (my choice).

As did I.  First shot was in June while visiting Montreal.  Don't plan to be back until this coming June; assuming/hoping the second shot will still be available then.

I read an article in French this week with the new owner of Campus and he was saying they have plans to open a male only club up the stairs. They have applied for an alcohol license. They also have other plans which they can't talk about yet.

Finally read the article.  I recommend it very highly for the insight it gives into the "decline" of Montreal's male strip clubs,  for the plans of the new owner,  and for glimpses into the personal lives of Gary (previous Campus owner) and his successor.  Use google translate if you don't read french.  One tidbit:  the decision to open the club to women was partly driven by the shutdown of 281, a long-standing male stripper club aimed at women.  (From time to time I would meet dancers at Campus who had a second job stripping for women there.)

Thanks for that link...looking forward to reading it.

It was very easy to see into some booths from the bar. The backroom is like an L shape. When you enter the lap dance area, there were booths on the right side fully open to the bar and then there was another section further down with booths on both sides which were private from the bar.

Yes, I remember that.  So now you can't see into the near part of the "L"?  And what about from one booth to another, or when you're walking past a booth to get to another one?  (I ask merely for information; the booth configuration has never been an obstacle for me or my dancer of choice 😉).

...only one guy, in the afternoon shift, in Campus...

Can you tell us more about Campus in the afternoons, especially on Wed/Thu? In the last several years, there have been few or no dancers at that time.  There are hints of improvement in your report -- would like to be sure I'm understanding correctly.

I saw a review yesterday on RM where the client blamed the provider for giving him Monkeypox. Viewers in the US may not see this comment but only the negative two star rating. It was an LA provider.

Wait...he caught monkeypox from the provider and still awarded him 2 stars?  Must be one hell of a provider.  Can we have his name 😉?

Spent a few days last month in Montreal. Had a great night at Campus with a follow up assignation. Big Saturday night crowd. Women are now welcome, and I think they add to the energy. Good vibes all around. I never made it to Stock, for a number of reasons. It seems that the popularity of Campus has surged, and that of Stock fallen off. Info I got from a dancer suggested that it had a lot to do with the quality of the management. Anyway, Campus is on a roll.

Thanks for the report.  Could you add a little more detail which would be helpful to me:  were you at Campus only once, on a Saturday night, or did you get there other days of the week (which ones)?  Only at night (say, post 8 pm) or did you try earlier (and how was that if you did)?

  12. It's almost 2 full months since new owners took over at Campus.  The only change visible from afar is the new website (https://campusmtl.com/) which is not, in fact very new, since it appeared almost the same time as the ownership change -- and, bad as the old website was, this is even worse (a drinks menu without prices, no dancer pictures, ...).  So I ask those of you on the ground in Montreal:  what has changed at Campus in the past 2 months?  Decor?  Private dance booths?  Dancers appearing on stage during the week or before 10-11 pm?  Inquiring minds want to know.

[Normally the items in blue would have been hyperlinks to posts in this forum dealing with the subjects in question, but I still don't have the "insert hyperlink" chain link in my composition menu.  Apologies.]

On Firefox on my Windows computer it's CTRL + or -

Thanks.  That's what I thought mike meant and I tried it before posting, but it didn't solve the problem.  (btw, I also don't have the strikethrough icon, and don't think I've ever had it.)  I suppose I could switch to firefox just for reading these forums....

I do most of my grocery shopping at Smith's (Kroger) and Trader Joe's.  At Smiths, I've definitely noticed prices creeping up, but more than that, I notice that far fewer items go on sale and when they do, the percentage discount is a lot less than in the past.

At TJ's on the other hand, I haven't noticed any increases at all, at least not on any items I buy regularly.  It amazes me that they've been able to keep prices so low.

Unfortunately, TJ's is pretty far from me (I do a big shop only once/month) whereas Smiths is less than a mile.  The cheapest gas is still $4.59/gallon in my area.

I've noticed a little price creep at Trader Joe's; nothing exceptional.  BUT...many items are out of stock.  Cream cheese, for example, comes and goes.  All of the cereals I prefer have been out of stock for at least 8 weeks.  I used to do the majority of my shopping there; I've cut my visits by 50% as a result.

Rob addressed this in some other post.  I can't remember the upshot, but I bet if you make your screen wider, or try on a different browser or device, you may see it.

Firefox on a windows machine here, but that aside...

I've found changing the zoom level (and it seems to be inconsistent as to whether zooming up or down does it) adds extra formatting options. As I'm typing, the chain is there and I get more icons after a few changes of zoom level in both directions. I've had trouble with the strike-through icon which sometimes doesn't appear no matter what I do.

This is the question I asked a while back.  Rob answered that the "chain" icon was still there and provided a screenshot.  I hadn't had a chance to check that out until this post: the chain icon is not present for me (chrome on windows) even though it used to be.  @mike carey, what do you mean by "changing the zoom level?"  Where do I change it and what, exactly, do I need to do?
