What an eye opening thread - while I limit personally identifying details, I’ve found the PMs to be most valuable in helping me dodge bullets, and I hope in a few cases I’ve helped others with the same. In my experience I’ve gotten far more honest (candid) feedback about potential hires in PM than the forum or reviews.

Exactly my reaction. I am loathe to give up the information-sharing that goes on in PM's, which has been very valuable to me (and vice-versa, I hope). It would be almost impossible for someone who doesn't already know me to deduce anything that would identify me from what I write, and I don't believe anything I've written in a PM would allow an escort or masseur to identify me. I don't share my participation here with guys I hire (other than those who have become friends). I will be a little more aware of what I write in PM's in the future, but I'm not going to stop.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and had a great time at Johnson's. They are working hard at making it a good experience for customers and dancers alike. Still seem to be experimenting with the pricing -- as of my visit, they were open every night except Mondays, with a $5 cover charge on Sun, Tu, Th, no cover charge on Wed, and a $10 cover on F, Sat. They also didn't require a $10 lap dance wristband on the Tuesday I was there, perhaps because they had just started having dancers on Tuesdays.

There is a separate, small, quiet bar where it's easy to carry on a conversation. But even in the main room where the dancers are, the sound is kept at a reasonable level. There's a waiter in the main room and the drinks are not unduly expensive -- $3 for a coke, for example (but $7 for a beer).

It reminds me a little of Stock in Montreal. But the room, while nicely furnished and arranged, has a more intimate feel than Stock. And 95% of the dancers smiled, made eye contact, and actually danced (or did pole rountines) on stage -- no "muscle shuffle."

There is a fair amount of on-site parking which fills up at busy times. There is paid on-street parking and a municipal (paid) parking lot with lots of space is only a block away on 26th Street.

By the way, a friend and I stopped in at Boardwalk around 8:30 pm one evening, thinking to scope it out before the 9 pm cover charge took effect. Guess what? Boardwalk is now charging a cover starting at 8 pm, PLUS they have a 2 drink/$20 minimum. (This was a week night.)

I think I've heard "turned" used in reference to the dead turning into zombies in The Walking Dead, but wouldn't swear to it. They don't actually use the term "zombie", for that matter.

planning a trip to Montreal in January and plan to check out some clubs. I went once to Remington’s in Toronto a long time ago but never got a private dance and I hardly remember it. This forum has been a treasure of information but I’m still left wondering what to expect if I get a private in Montreal. I’m thinking of going to campus. I have two suggestions.

1. Post your travel dates and ask if there's a Montreal-savvy person who will be there when you are and who is willing to accompany you to the clubs. Apart from the tutoring aspect, it's always more fun if you have a companion.
   
2. The strip club forum has many, many posts about Montreal strip clubs. It's worth taking the time to read through them. Even though details (layout, prices, ....) may have changed, you will get a good feel for what it's like. Don't neglect the older posts -- I recall some by YFSC that were invaluable to me when I first started frequenting Montreal.

Over the many years I’ve been visiting Stock, I’ve been scammed maybe a handful of times. Needless to say I never repeated with those dancers. I’m glad to hear there is recourse with management if it were to ever happen again.

I guess we're picking on Stock because this is a Stock thread. The truth is that I've "been miscounted" in every club, but only a few times altogether over many years of travel to Montreal. I've probably "been undercounted" just as often. And it's not unusual to have a dancer say to me "I''ve lost track of the count; pay me what you think is fair" -- those are the situations in which I'm likely to have lost track as well .

I emphasize this because when I first started visiting Montreal, the stories I read here had me so freaked out about overcount scamming that I didn't enjoy the dances at all. So be alert, but not to the point of killing the fun!
