What are considering when you say "quality"?  If you are looking for certified, Rent Masseur does list who is certified (can we presume this is validated in some way even if it is self-reported).  Massuer finder does list their training school if they are certified, they actually list their training school.  It's interesting when a masseur lists on both, as they can sometimes give different messages and it's usually the MF will indicate mostly strictly licensed massages, but the RM may include an option for sensual (or even more), as if it's a little more 'naughty' (and I suspect RentMen listing would be even more naughty).  For example, here's a guy that I used a few years ago from MF that I thought was strictly therapeutic, who I just noticed appears to have recently added (or relisted) a RM profile that now has other options:

I am on Rent Masseur and Rent Men. I prefer the first more. I get less game playing on Rent Masseur.

Google. Google Maps. Craigslist. Grindr. Sniffies. Double list. 

I pretty much only go for people who are at least on masseurfinder. A lot of guys on RM give the vibe that you should be paying just by virtue of being touched by a sexy man, and a lot of their reviews here seem to paint the same picture. I almost always would prefer a session from someone who is licensed/trained. I want a quality massage and anything beyond that is welcomed but not expected

MF gives more formatted space for provider to include training and experience, whereas RM leaves that to the essay portion. I no longer hire service from the solely "intuitive" masseurs. I shouldn't have to contact them for training background.

Also just googling gay massage and a local area can be helpful. 

In my experience, good and bad masseurs are all over the place and in every venue. I've had both awesome and terrible massage therapists in pretty much every setting, RM, MF, hanging on the streets, hotel SPAs, private SPAs, bath houses, everywhere. I could not tell that there's a specific setting that will guarantee a good quality massage.

I prefer MF because it seems there are more quality massages presented there. Rent masseur seems to have more options / masseurs but the quality has been inconsistent.

60% RentMasseur, 40% Masseurfinder in finding new providers. 

I just saw this guy and would definitely NOT recommend.  He is probably 75 pounds heavier than in his ad. I should have left when he opened the door.  He has zero skills or personality and I ended up walking out.  DM for more details.  Disgusting.  

Gee Medin, so sorry to hear about your experience, but thank you for your post.  He’s visiting my area and you’ve saved me wasting my time and money.  Another example of the value of this forum.  You absolutely cannot trust the RMasseur reviews.  In my experience, the RM site reviews are a complete waste of time/space. They won’t allow negative reviews.  If you’re successful in getting one through, it’s promptly removed.  THIS site is the only true way to get an honest picture of providers.  Thanks again for your post 👍🏼.

Handsome, married, muscle daddies, nice guys and beautiful to look at.  
Massage is a solid pressured therapeutic, performed in perfect sync with some slight hints of sensual but they do keep it professional.  
Next time I see them I might opt for 90mins with a body scrub before the message, for an extra $100.  

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind something more sensual because they are incredibly sexy, especially the older, blue eyed daddy 🥰 - but for what they are providing and charging I would recommend them all day long.

he was in the Oklahoma area for a couple of weeks.... not a great experience...  actually I ended early after 10 minutes... not professional, might have been on some***ng.   Paid him a few buck and got the hell out of there...

I posted the original question and ended up taking the plunge while he was in Palm Springs based on the strength of the RM reviews.  
I'm very glad I did.  He's a really nice guy and the massage was great and it included head, hands and feet.  Even though he was traveling and in a hotel he used a table, had warm oil, warm towels and hot stones.   The 60-minute massage was a few minutes over 60 minutes.  In the end I left happy.

Paxton used to live in Dallas and was engaged to a mess of a DJ/escort.  He is a huge waste of time. Zero massage skills, and not much personality. I would NEVER repeat.

Went to Johnsons Tampa mid week while in the area for work.  Went on a Wednesday night and didn't have high expectations since it was Wednesday.  I actually had a blast and stayed for hours.  They had about 10 dancers of which 5 were appealing to me.  Bartender was fun as well.  Cover was $5.  
Such a different vibe than Lauderdale.  I really liked the club, location and layout.  The guys were more college age and slightly older - mix of personalities but a lot different than Lauderdale which to me always seemed too straight too masculine.
Club was two spacious levels with bars on each level.  Mixture of seating.  Nice lap dance area similar to Lauderdale with curtains as well as a private room - I don't think Lauderdale has this (?).  Lap dances were $10 band and $20 per song or private room was $165 for 15 min.  Had a great time in private and will def go back to the Tampa location.  totally my vibe. 

This was very close to my experience, except once was enough for me.  No need to go back. 

I've seen JD before.  The experience was okay.  HE was included and no surprise fees at the end.  There was some MT but it felt rather mechanical.  Not sure if it's an "interest" thing or if he's just that way.  Was worth 1 appointment, I tried a few times, thinking he may warm up, he didn't so I moved on

Perhaps what the previous posters may have neglected to add to their post was several providers use rentmasseur to drive traffic to their OF sites and don’t have any interest in providing massage services.   Just a thought
