wow, that was fast.....before SESTA even signed. The logo seems to mean the message is from the website itself and not my service provider.

hmmm SexyMassuer may not pass SESTA laws. I sure hope MassuerFinder survives....so many friends make their living off it.

The law isn't just solicitation for prostitution, it's facilitating prostitution online. And that includes any internet service provider who carries any of that, including Verizon, Google, etc. They will have to block those sites or be subject to 10 years in federal prison and civil judgments also. Sites are trying to avoid the block even if they're "overseas". The ones in the US are in direct danger both from blocking and prosecution.

I think @bigjoey is good on this and I hope he's right that a quick appeal will come and maybe halt enforcement of SESTA pending review. Personally, I think the internet providers will err on the side of caution and start filters to block any escort talk anyway. I know Google has already been deleting nude photos from Google Photos and today I heard they're deleting porn from Google Drive. That MassuerFinder is deleting shirtless photos today means they expect filter blocking soon. No one really knows what's going to happen and how soon. There is Hide.Me that will switch your location out of the US. We've already been using that to see written review comments on RentMen reviews. But again, I don't know if that would matter if your provider is US. I'm trying to get WhatsApp and text numbers for guys I know and ones I'm interested in just in case it does go dark.

Today a story that suddenly porn, nudes, etc files that were stored on Google Drive are being deleted. I know several months ago after losing a phone I discovered nude photos (of my ex's butt!) had been erased from my Google Photos and Drive. So this may not be altogether a new thing. I never had any porn there so IDK on that, but pros are saying this is a new thing the past few days. https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/9kgwnp/porn-on-google-drive-error

Wikipedia's even worried. I'm sure Craiglist is.

No, although no net neutrality gives service providers even more discretion as to whom they will carry. In gay life this is more about BackPage and RentMen. DOJ and states are shutting down BackPage's escort and massage ads and of course, they did close down RentBoy. But that's because both were in the US. RentMen and numerous other sites are based overseas and their servers are overseas. So SESTA's solution is to force internet service providers to block these sites or face up to 10 years in federal prison and lawsuits for damages brought by US citizens. It's especially hard for small internet providers who can't afford any expensive sort of filtering and even the big guys usually err on the side of too much caution and when in doubt....block. It's as if the telephone company could be charged with a serious crime if someone called you with something illegal. Until now the internet has been treated that way, like a telephone service not responsible for what others use it for. Now there will be an internet exception to that rule for anything dealing with selling sex.

Making my lists and checking them twice.

This is not about a site being closed by police for prostitution. This is about an internet service provider like Verizon being charged for carrying escort sites, even if they're overseas sites legal where they are.

Are We About To Be Censored And Soon Be History?
+ tassojunior replied to Dmitri's topic in Spas & Masseurs
Welcome to a thread on the thread on SESTA (started by StevenKesslar). It's nice to see some prolific posters finally have an interest but it passed Congress yesterday and now we're sort of waiting for the lights to go out. Hopefully we can get a test case on the constitutionality quickly but I doubt it will be in time to stop the chilling effect on internet service providers that is it's real intent: Get them to filter out any sites having anything to do with escorting. I'm not listing what all I've been doing the past month to fight SESTA but I do live and work in DC am gay and once every week or two put on my lawyer drag and venture to Capitol Hill to find buttonholes. Unfortunately most of my contacts are Democrats and they weren't budging on SESTA. 11 Democrats in the House and 1 in the Senate opposed SESTA. Leadership (or maybe the DNC) probably put out a party-line directive. Trump is not the only master showman in DC who knows how to control what people are interested in at any time. The static and noise are diversionary flak to keep people's attention away from the horrible stuff being done quietly at the same time. SESTA is serious for us and a potential disaster for the internet. -

The bill passed today attempts to stop any escorting or escort-promoting sites on the theory that less escorting=less trafficking. It may be held unconstitutional eventually and if so will probably be re-passed. It lets blame go on internet providers like Verizon or Comcast for carrying these sites. There's up to 10 years in prison, plus there's civil liability. It will be the providers who place filters that will delete these sites pretty quickly. Massuerfinder must think no shirtless guys will avoid the filters. Rentmen will be gone in days. Hunqz too. This site and BoyToy probably will be caught in filters. I'm grabbing all the contacts I can, FB, WhatApp, phone #'s etc. now in case. -

There is a thread of sorts. Not that many gays here care. They're more concerned if 45 fucked a porn star or knew Russian trolls were on Facebook. Diversion is how you get something passed quietly with almost no dissenting votes.... Look at that squirrel over there. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/sesta-the-next-sex-trafficking-crackdown.128739/page-3#post-1481830 -
"Only Fans". Am I the Only One Not Joining?
+ tassojunior replied to + Lance_Navarro's topic in The Lounge
Dont get too attached to OnlyFans. They may not be around long. I just learned they do not verify age before letting ppl post their porn. Bold. Stupid. It seems that every model and their dog on Instagram and Twitter has an OnlyFans and clutters Twitter not only announcing every new customer but also every time one renews. PITA. FB is sure to disconnect IG from OnlyFans soon. Not a headache FB/IG needs. Twitter is trash anyway since 45 found it. Why can't these guys just stand on street corners giving blowjobs in cars for 50 like they used to. -
Thanks for the info ! I have a bff on MF and he didnt tell me. Now I notice his shirtless pics are gone too. I wonder if MF is in the US. If so theyre easy pickings. Also OnlyFans. They just ask you to verify youre 18 verbally to post your porn !

SESTA passed Congress today making escort sites federally illegal to carry (10 yrs in!) so expect a lot of changes.

I checked through Hide.me and only one of his reviews has a written portion. But it's from a Premium RM member and says good things. It was his first review.
-
Hide.me is the site to log in from international locations. Then the written portions of reviews show. I forget the trick.....a client gets his review dropped if it's negative but it can't be if some portion is positive---what part is that? the stars or the photos accurate, hire again, etc? If you answer the questions positive can you give no or one star? Or is it only the written comments where you can tell the truth? A slightly similar looking guy has an ad as leonardobrazil in Atlanta today. Same age etc. The comments on both seem good.

I get calls every day from area codes all over the US from a firm I once dealt with for Viagra years ago. They're in India. You can't block all the numbers. I had to eventually get another number for calls coming in. It's Canadian Online Pharmacy or Canada Drugs or Canada Online Drugs or something. I would never give your real phone number to any of these guys. Ever. Too big a chance you'll get my guys. A half-dozen calls a day for a year is a PITA. I'll order from one again for Cialis but will always use a virtual account number, an extra email, and never a valid phone number or call them. Never. Your order will come from India or Bangladesh and it will be pills made there. They'll be ok.

People do realize that "Canada" in a name means nothing. They're in India.
