1. Yes Trader Joe's has the best fresh giant asparagus any of us have seen for $1.29. Perfect for grilling with cheese and garlic. One of the nice things that's happened.
2. But in Brazil the sauna cover fee and the cubicle rental often exceed $40 diminishing the bargain rate of the guy. Especially if you're only having sex once a visit. For most Europeans and many in the US it's not worth the airfare. Plus the top Brazilians often go to the US and Europe. They're often half the guys at Thermas and Patagonya. It's all closed now anyway.
3. 1 to-do next week:
4. Cost-wise Barcelona and Columbia top Brazil because of the added room costs and entry fees and travel cost to Brazil. Many better Brazilians go to Barcelona. I think they're all closed now anyway.
5. Airplanes are pretty antiseptic these days. Amazing how scrubbed down seats etc are with strong anti-virals and then there's the air-purifier system. Those flight attendants who work in them make damn sure. OTOH grocery stores and voting lines are the most contagious spots probably. And if you're unlucky enough to have to use subways or buses.....
6. In DC they used to have live nude shows in rooms with windows and booths. The booths were not very sanity. Cars are better.
7. There are reports on the frequent traveler blogs that they will extend them . Best experiences seem to be contacting them on social media. They are very slow communicating right now.
8. More lifesaving ventilators are available. Hospitals can’t afford them. Hospitals are holding back from ordering more medical ventilators because of the high cost for what may be only a short-term spike in demand from the coronavirus epidemic, supply chain experts and health researchers say, intensifying an anticipated shortage of lifesaving equipment for patients who become critically ill. https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/2020/03/18/ventilator-shortage-hospital-icu-coronavirus/?fbclid=IwAR25rUlO03t0Ty7emF02CCMwfFyOJ6Cq49vPKHHn22JE1EhDdhSiCmBo_vo
9. Are they importable from China? More than anything it will decide whether most live or die.
10. Trader Joes is concentrating on restocking food, not wine.
11. Cases expected to peak in 45 days. NYC desperately short of ICU beds. Navy Hospital Ship Sailing to New York Harbor, Cuomo Says https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-18/navy-hospital-ship-sailing-to-new-york-harbor-cuomo-says
12. As a holder of a quantity, I hope the discussion merging break-ins, guns and toilet paper is just a coincidence.
13. Is there any other country with a fixation on toilet paper like the US? I always get supplies from Amazon when there's sales and TP is the most frequent sale item so I have a lot. Amazon double-roll jumbo packs are big. Especially since I installed bidet toilet seats before Christmas. I was actually concerned about having too much. Funny how things often work out. Now, about respirators.......
14. Butt less paper.
15. That's an expensive one. Home Depot has self-install unheated ones for $50 and most bidet seats with all the features are $200, a lot less than a few months' TP. You may want to install a simple cheap one first to know what features you want. The world seems to be divided between warm-water folks and cool-water folks. Non-Americans seem to prefer the handheld hose variety like we have in showers or kitchen sinks.
16. Ridiculousness is that the government expects people to go out and stand in long lines to get in a crowded room today to vote. Mail-in ballots should be an emergency. But both parties will have to see who benefits most first. Shame.
17. there goes the toilet paper to folks who don't need it unless there's also ExLax.
