I'm wondering how the State of Emergency declared in LA County today is affecting hiring there. While Seattle is an unreliable market, LA is a good example of an otherwise busy market.

Plenty of both on eBay. The better masks are the N95 with an exhale valve. On eBay the 3M ones are $15 each shipped and the HDX (Home Depot) brand ones are $10. Same masks without exhale valves are half as much. CV rarely carries through the air though like other viruses do. EcoLab hand sanitizer (the pro stuff) is 12 or 16 oz for about $10 shipped. Getting small bottles to transfer and carry in your pocket is important. Most places still have rubbing alcohol and that's the real germ killer ingredient. Put it in small pocket bottles. Use hand cream after to moisturize your hands.

Today I heard Washington state where there was one CV death yesterday is having mass runs on stores today with shelves emptying. Also saw a pic (can't be shared) of hundreds of people in S. Korea lined up for hours for face masks. However serious the pandemic may be, assume the reaction will be intense in a couple days and get top supplies now. N95 mask (ebay), Purell, rubbing alcohol, disinfectant and wipes, etc. will disappear in a day or two.

Next time I fly Im taking Purell, antiseptic wipes for the traytable and armrest. Planes and airports deserve caution. Just returned from Prague last week and the guys are eager, although some are gone.

The N 95 masks are necessary but sold out in all Home Depots. The ones with an exhale valve are better. there are plenty on eBay at a wide range of prices. I got a 3-pack of the HDX Home Depot brand with valves for $28 shipped. The 3M brand with valve is about $15 each shipped. The humor is that plenty of sellers are shipping from China. Dollar Tree has loads of Purell bottles, anti-bacteria handsoap, antiseptic wipes etc. Home Depot has gallons of Odo-Ban anti-septic spray for $10. Assuming the lady that died today had a incubation period of 3 weeks I assume 1000 in a couple days multiplying fast and all supplies gone in a week tops.

Of course I care that my friends don't have health insurance in the US but also they are 25 and extremely healthy so not very likely to be CV victims. However, the way CV shows up as 1000 cases at once in a region because of it's 2-3 week gestation period creates panic that should effectively soften the market. But I imagine the summer heat will make the virus at least dormant and the market will harden back up.

If he were dead his RM ad would stay up but go "inactive" when not paid. I have friends who have been "inactive" for a long time. RM hopes someone will pay to make it active. To disappear so quickly he withdrew it.

Although it hasn't really hit the US yet, what are people's experiences and suggestions? I just came home from Europe early because of it hitting and am reluctant to suggest European friends come here to work, both because I see the market maybe dying and them not having health insurance in the US.
