I’d give a hard “no” on the Dominican Republic. Unless you’re into locking yourself into the resort…. and that’s not very “gay” at all in my book. The only places I’ve felt relatively safe in the Caribbean are on the French islands (e.g. St. Barts, St. Martin etc.). Even then, they’re not really “gay friendly”, so much as “just don’t do it in the streets and scare the horses”.

I had this happen recently. I was sent to an address across the street. The provider obviously then scoped me out and gave me the correct address once he "approved". It left a seriously bad taste in my mouth and the appointment ended soon thereafter when I arrived at the correct address and he demanded payment upfront. Don’t play games children. I always use the crappy wine that my friends brought to dinner last week and that is now collecting dust in the cellar. Stored in a heap in the corner, so no one assumes I bought it, and so I never accidentally grab it to serve to company. It’s never complete crap, but it’s never anything I’d choose to buy/serve/drink on my own. Use that.
