You seem like somebody I would like to have a conversation with. I have been with the FD since I was 18. I have advanced emergency medical training, special training for industrial plant fires. Such as boilers and places with massive amounts of oil or chemicals. Search and rescue, and also work with the local PD for training. I'm not part of the PD but they asked me to volunteer to help train new officers on how to conduct field sobriety tests. By that I mean they paid for my drinks I got lit and let them practice on me. I volunteer every year now. With all that in mind, my favorite part of what I do is blowing the horn on the fire trucks. It never gets old.

Welcome! There are a number of guys here who are in the same situation as you. We all comment and share about ourselves to different degrees but I think you’ll find the site interesting to be part of.
