Always in the hotel safe if hosting in a hotel. I’m moderately paranoid in any case! At home, always well-hidden; however, I’ve never had any issues in over 20 years of hobbying.

Holy smokes that's insane. At the point, I rather not even meet the person.

Since I usually host, it's more likely that I'd have valuables locked up in the safe on a first time visit - fortunately, I didn't feel the need to do that a couple weeks ago with @Braziliancutee in New Orleans. 😇 But, there's no telling what happened with his wallet when HE was in the shower 😄

When I'm meeting someone for the first time I carry the absolute minimum. Cash for fee & tip, car key, phone only if I need to communicate with them, maybe glasses (sun & reading - both cheap).
If I'm hosting somebody new everything important is hidden.

I own several Pelican Cases of various sizes. The Harbor Freight knockoff Apache cases would work too.
If I host, I like to throw my valuables and sensitive data into a Pelican case then run a steel cable around something that would require tools to move (like the piping under the sink.) and connect the case to the cable with a sturdy padlock.
If I visit rather than hosting, I do nearly the same, but I lock the cable to the child safety seat anchors in the hatchback of my SUV.
Someone with a set of boltcutters or other special tools could steal my stuff, but someone won’t be able to grab-and-go without tools.

With anyone new, I pay for the hotel room then put the wallet back in my car.

Yeah, I’ll usually bare down my wallet to just some essentials, but even an ID and single credit card can be an ID theft’s great start.
Credit freeze/lock and keeping strong unique passwords on MFA and your emails will go a long way. Very least, always keep an eye on your card transactions! Lot easier to clean up while it’s small.

Hey guys i would like to share here that over the last few weeks, talking with some clients, I’ve heard the same story from more than seven guys:
i hired this guy and when I went to the bathroom i saw he was taking pics from my credit cards or even going through my wallet and taking more money.
if is the first time u are going to meet the guy don’t go with wallet. And be careful especially with the “cheap” guys bc a lot of them are really desperate for money.
