A most rewarding hobby, indeed. Always end up with a small group of regulars, some travel weekenders, others local multi-hours. All lean, smooth and hot; bright, gregarious and adventurous. There are parts of the Western Cape that remind me of coastal California, with extensive upper class suburbs, shopping malls and the exquisite Paarl wine country. That area is more racially diverse as well and the opposition party is in power there, not the ANC. 1The financial center of Sandton, outside of Johannesburg, reminds me of Irvine. There’s a lot of money in South Africa, but the disparity between rich and poor is pretty shocking. While there’s a thriving black upper middle class, some of whom I got to know, the legacy of apartheid is still pretty strong.

In fact, there’s been a bit of a reverse migration of white South Africans back to SA. Really a very interesting place to visit.

I agree with much of what you wrote, JJ, but in my experience I’ve developed pretty strong sexual and personal rapport with the circle of guys I’ve seen and have become friends with them. I enjoy my personal time, so I’m able to respect the lines and don’t fret about them, but this hobby has positive mental health and emotional plusses. That’s why I gravitate to weekends after an initial positive session. I can say that overnights without an initial shorter meet have been sub-optimal.

When you check providers’ descriptions they include BDSM in their descriptions. If I’m interested in something kinky, I’ll often include that in my text. A surprising number have seemed willing to try it, although my version is fairly vanilla.
