Have you found yourself drinking more lately? Not a big drinker, but I have been drinking more, as have most of my friends and family. Every Friday, my neighbors and I have a social distancing cocktail party. I’m going on a 30-day abstention starting today. I don’t want to acquire another bad habit.

I have to wonder if these garish displays of conspicuous consumption are going to backfire in the coming months, with mass unemployment and poverty? I have to think that the proles’ fascination with the Kardashians and other glitterati may turn to contempt or even fury. The well off had best keep a very low profile going forward.

I’ve seen a guy here for a few years and we always have a torrid time. He’s a stylist, so no income at the moment. He also hasn’t advertised in a few years and most likely never will. I’m sure his apartment is pricey. But, I think he’s prone to moodiness. I doubt that he’d ask for help. I have a 2000 sf condo with 3.5 baths, so plenty of room; however, I enjoy my privacy and don’t find staying at home much of a burden, as long as I can continue my cardio and lifting routine. That said, I’ve reached out to a couple of cuties re video or phone sex. I think it could be mutually beneficial and may be more common as this stretches on.

I like the nod idea. I’m not ready to shake hands anytime soon.

Nipple clamps worn regularly will do the trick

I was very lucky to find a box of 10 N95 masks at a local hardware store for $20 on March 9! I use a Homedics UV light box to sterilize them after each use.

My grocery store has outside hand sanitizers and boxes of gloves when you enter. When you leave, you simply trash the gloves.

I’ve though of renting an industrial neighborhood space and turning it into something fun. Imagine there will be some deals in a few months.

Be nice if you could simply rent the space for cash with no questions asked. Be fun to bring a provider in.

I understand your anger.

Went for a 30 mile bike ride yesterday and a 3 mile run early this morning and got drenched at the end. The good thing--absolutely no one else on the trail!

My sense is that most understand that this is a necessary hiatus and they’re maintaining their ads for when things return to the “new” normal. I certainly hope to help some of them out when the coast is clear.

I was a long-time fan of TJ’s, but not so much lately.

No shortages at all at my local health food grocery. I passed by TJ’s on the way back from a long bike ride, but there was a long queue outside so I went to my much nicer store and got everything I needed including Applewood smoked bacon.

There’s a certain subset of twink providers that are addicted to these vulgar labels.

I’ve been tempted to see two regulars in June, but I’m still hesitant. I’m currently running a trial “no porn or jack-off” hiatus for a week just to test my will power.

My local grocery has outside sanitizer stations, boxes of latex gloves at the inner entry and all the other accoutrements mentioned. I always wear an N95 mask, glasses and a cap. The rare times I’ve been there lately, it’s been pretty empty.

I’m actually writing two books: one based on my travels and many conversations in Eastern Europe, and the other a fictional account of 6 people in a remote Tennessee town.

Today I’m going to buy haircuts in advance at my barber shop. I also ordered a Wahl clipper from Amazon which is scheduled to arrive on Friday. If I really screw it up, I’ll just wear a hat for the duration. I’ve always cleaned my own place (I’ve always enjoyed it), but I’ll suggest the financial Aid idea to neighbors who have housekeepers.

No provider has hit me up for money in years. However, a childhood friend borrowed a few years ago and I ultimately forgave the loan. As Benjamin Franklin said, lending money to friends creates enemies.
