  1. Please forget about massages. That’s a deferrable luxury.
  2. Should be interesting to see if a provider is willing to go to an airport and fly to meet a stranger for a weekend in the age of Covid. Sorry to be a downer commenter.
  3. I’m thinking that PS 2021 will be a particularly enjoyable and perhaps poignant event. I value our little online community and the solace that it affords in these challenging times. My family and friends I increasingly cherish. Love to you all!
  4. Keep doing them. Think how you’ll look in a year!
  5. I made a trip to Costco in December and loaded up on basics, way before the coronavirus hit. I don’t like shopping in big box stores, so I rarely go; but when I do I stock up. I was lucky this time. I’ve given some away to friends.
  6. I admire your sang froid in these panicky times.
  7. I wouldn’t want to be stuck in low social trust cities like Vegas and LA right now. Thinking of The Stand.
  8. I have a one way on Alaska for late May. I was thinking that by then, things would be fine. Now, I’m not so sure. the waits are interminable on the phone.
  9. If they can still install them, I’m considering getting a Toto washlet, thus forgoing the need for TP. Expensive, yes, but I’ve lost so much money that a few thousand isn’t going to make a difference. I’ve always wanted one anyway.
  10. Also, virtually all bars and restaurants have closed. Young folks were drinking and having late brunches as recently as Sunday. Rush hour traffic is no longer a thing. I’ll be doing a lot more hiking and cycling in the more rural areas, which are easily accessible. Not sure when the state parks will close. Went to Whole Foods on Sunday morning. No lentils or rice to be found. I didn’t even look in the paper goods section. A small chain of natural, organic markets does have TP, but the rough, recycled kind. I bought two rolls and am mailing them to my neighbor on Whidbey Island, where they can’t even find hand soap.
  11. Apparently, the local gun stores are selling out of guns and ammo. Some will not sell ammo without the purchase of a firearm. More than a few residents of my liberal neighborhood are quietly discussing the acquisition of guns. Is this another ominous trend—a fear that the police won’t be able to contain desperate crowds looking for supplies and food in gentrified neighborhoods?
  12. They’re still a thing in the US? I’ve never been to one.
  13. I have plenty. Also 4 toilets. I know...excessive
  14. That’s understandable. They are going to take a huge hit.

  16. Why don’t you reach out to him? Compliment him. In these grim days, acts of kindness may be well appreciated, even by Brandon.
  17. I was celibate at the time, but lost several acquaintance, including a friend from college who introduced me to preppy clothes.
  18. All that said, he is really cute. I wonder how tall he is as a model?
  19. People who never embraced reading are going to have a tough time with the social isolation. I have stacks of unread books and have been enjoying myself. Also gave up booze for Lent and am feeling great. I could see myself abstaining for a year.
  20. Life is definitely going to smack them around. Boys like that think only of make up, fashion, expensive “cocktails” and drama with their girl friends. With hard times coming, they’ll be in trouble, sadly.
  21. The country is rapidly shutting down. Let’s see what it is a week from now. I’m looking forward to PS weekend 2021. If Coachella is now occurring in October, perhaps it won’t be staged in April, making reservations a bit less costly?
  22. The definition of vapidity
  23. Speaks every language on earth!
  24. Things are getting weirder!
