  1. Manhattan Overrated: Canal St. Why anyone wants to go there, I'll never understand. Underrated: The Museum of the City of NY. I have seen some awesome exhibits there. One of the best was the 200th anniversary of the development of the grid.
  2. About 15-20 minutes, but that really wasn't my point.
  3. I have only been around weed once went I stayed with a friend near UCLA. I didn't smoke it but one the apartments was full of smoke the entire time so I definitely was breathing it in. I remember having a really bad headache after I left. I'll probably try an edible once they are available for sale. The only sad thing is I am almost certain my county will be opting out as they have been threatening since weed started getting legalized around the country.
  4. I only need the UK to lift the mandatory 14 day quarantine and I am off to London at the end of August. Flight and lodging are already booked. Everything else will be on a "how I feel" basis. Museum visits are likely; theatre is currently not. Will probably stick to outdoor dining or cooking in the flat.
  5. I saw Ty live in concert back when he first hit the Country scene. He opened for Tanya Tucker. The concert was great and I remember thinking he was so hot. I always thought he had the talent to be a bigger star. Met him after the show and got his autograph. Tanya was excellent as always.
  6. I find glasses excruciatingly hot and prefer them to stay on myself and him. The only time I usually want them off is if someone is going to be face down or we are tub/shower. Doesn't always work out that way, but it is my preference. It's rare but occasionally a guy will have glasses that do not complement their face. In those instances, they have to come off.
  7. Would be willing to share the info he gave you?
  8. Yes, it was. I had many an argument about that in 99 and 2000.
  9. CBS used to have a meteorologist named Storm Fields. His father was also a meteorologist for CBS named Frank Fields. Not a shocker why he named his some that.
  10. Talk about small world. When my sister was doing her student teaching in downtown Manhattan, she had a student named, and I'm not kidding, La-a. She once corrected a teacher taking attendance by saying, "It's Ladasha; the dash ain't silent"
  11. I was a lurker from the early 2000s when I was still college and was too afraid to even think about hiring someone no matter how much I ogled the ads and read the reviews. Part of me regrets waiting and missing a few people who retired or rarely travel now that used to but the other part of me is glad I didn't jump in when I wasn't ready. I'm too lazy to look up when I first started posting though. ☺️
  12. I saw her in both The Music Man and Showboat. Fantastic both times.
  13. I bet I could have gotten my dad to go to see that show although he would have been 14 at the time so I'd need a time traveling device. My dad hated anything cultural but absolutely loved Jackie Gleason. I grew up on him but never knew of this show. I'll have to buy the CD.
  14. I saw a tryout of a show called Nefertiti in Fort Lauderdale. Everyone I went with, including myself, slept through the first act. Why we stayed for the second act, I don't know. I'm the only person who remembered we went to the show. It won't be a surprise to know it never made it to Broadway.
  15. Saw the original cast twice but both times without John Cullum. I liked the first understudy more than the second because he was a dead ringer for a young Mr. Burns. Mr. Burns as Caldwell was too perfect.
  16. I saw First Date mostly because I have a huge crush on Zachary Levi. I thought it was a fun and good starter musical for people who don't want to sit for a full 2 and half hours their first. The show itself was a little formulaic and scatter shot. Still I got to stare at Zachary for an hour live and in person. Got an autograph from him after the show so it was a winning night for me.
  17. I saw that from the second row with Carole King. I remember getting emotional at the end but I was a teenager so I kind identified with the kids.
  18. The musical may be bad (never saw it), but I do love the title song.
  19. I saw The Play that Goes Wrong on Broadway and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery in London. Both were hilarious.
  20. Once I had my first vaccine dose, I booked my postponed trip to London. I'm not typically an optimistic person, but my "40th birthday" was worth being optimistic. Thankfully the person I was hiring was available for the dates I wanted. Depending on the virus, I may not be comfortable going to a show or eating inside a restaurant but who cares? I can cook and he's super hot and an awesome person. Plus, there's nothing I love more than introducing people to great movies, music and tv shows among other fun indoor activities.
  21. I really don't get why people would want a 4 handed massage no matter what type of massage they receive. The whole point of a massage is focus on areas individually and move in a systematic fashion to provide relief, enjoyment, relaxation, etc. For me, I'd feel distracted since my body would want to move in line with both people which depending on what areas they are working would seem like a bad game of Twister.
