Another guy whose photo needs to display here (and the original link didn't work for me anyway). What a hunk!

Just cuz I think he's cute and his photo deserves to be seen by people who don't want to click a link that doesn't indicate where it leads, here's an embedded photo of meteorologist Shane Hinton.

Road rage is a very scary thing. I always give myself plenty of extra time to get places so I can let all the wackos pass me.

Thank God he didn't have a gun... in some states he could have killed you based on "castle/stand your ground" laws.

@Lucky I had a similar experience some 30 years ago. Not on a freeway but in traffic stopped by a red light ahead.
The biker was angry that I changed lanes even though I’d completed the manoeuvre before he came near. Fortunately I’d already learned to lock all the doors when driving (as he attempted to open my door) and I accelerated away as the lights turned green.

Recently while driving on a crowded California freeway, where traffic had frequently come to a complete stop, I felt happy to see it pick up. My lane was still slow, so after letting a motorcycle pass on the left, I signaled and moved over.
That apparently irritated the motorcycle coming next, even though I judged him to be far enough behind to allow me a safe lane change. He pulled up next to me, as close as he could get, and screamed unknown things. Next he started hitting my car, apparently trying to break my side mirror. He succeeded in turning it around and then drove off.
Thing is, had I moved ever so slightly to the right, he'd be dead. The road was still crowded and at best he would likely have been run over. So I saved the life of this guy who was raging at me. I doubt he was grateful! (And I am glad he didn't seem to have a gun!)

Traffic deaths are up substantially since 2020. I’m glad you survived that incident.

I have noticed in Houston that motorcycles often travel at speeds significantly greater than the speed limit making it almost impossible to even see them before making the lane change. I am glad you are ok.

It doesn't mean you're in denial. It just means that you haven't allowed an age difference to isolate you from each other. But then, you allowed "reality" to ruin your "illusion."
I like to run around with men who are half my age. That doesn't mean that I think I'm just like them, or that I'm not as old as I am. It just means that I don't think an age difference is a reason not to have somebody as a friend.

You’re not old enough to feel “old”.

The first time I felt old was the first time I got a boss that was younger than me. I was 41/42 at the time. The new boss was around 35. Up until then, I was successful at work and I was always considered the young guy doing great things. Promotions and raises came...until they didn't. I hated having a younger boss. To make matters worse, he wasn't a very good boss. I continued working for another 7-8 years and then retired at 49. I'm 62 now and when I look in the mirror I don't recognize myself. LOL.

In the last three weeks, I've moved my mother into assisted living, and lost my younger brother to a heart attack. I'm feeling every bit of my 59 years right now. This getting old is horrible!
