    Persian men

The whole Persia/Persian People/Persian Language vs Iran/Iranian People/Farsi Language is interesting. In 1935 for a whole bevy of reasons the Persian government decided to change the country’s name from Persia to Iran. Iran is, in fact, the Persian/Farsi word for Persia. The entire issue is a little like the difference between Peking (European) and Beijing (Chinese). During the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution (1978-1979) many followers of the deposed Shah escaped the country and did not want to be associated, in any way, with the new government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Many Iranian refugees, at that time, resorted to calling themselves Persians. That tendency to make the change became even stronger after the U.S. Embassy Hostage Crisis of 11/4/1979 to 1/20/1981. It is my understanding that anybody whose national origin is the country of Iran is Iranian and speaks Farsi. Of course the bottom line is they can call themselves anything they damn well please.
  2. As much as I appreciate your taste the unfortunate FACT is that they're in New York and I'm in Los Angeles.
  3. I received a reply within an hour or two of my inquiry. English is definitely not his first language which might explain the strange response. I'll give him a call, as he suggested, later this afternoon.
  4. If an escort only "receives oral" that doesn't make it for me. I require mutual participation in touching/stroking, kissing, and oral.
  5. His rentmen ad doesn't list kissing and oral and things he is into. Is that indeed the case?
  6. I've started preparing the marinades and sauces. I'll really get serious starting on Monday doing the prep work for the various food items. Don't set your expectations too high for the empanadas this is the first time I've made them and they just might be awful. They're frozen now and I'm bringing my deep fryer with me and will thaw them prior to frying them.
  7. Not only does he look amazing in photographs he IS amazing up close and personal. If any of your have the opportunity to get together with this man, I assure you, you WON'T be disappointed.
  8. Here is another possible meaning although I certainly don’t know if it has anything to do with the usage in your programs context. The Dragon is the fifth (5th) of the twelve (12) signs of the Chinese Zodiac and thus repeats every twelve (12) years. The Golden Dragon, however, only comes up every sixty (60) years (1940, 2000 and not again until 2060) and is considered a highly desirable year in which to be born. During both 1940 and 2000 Chinese births increased markedly as parents planed the birth of children during those years.
  9. Dave you will be much missed.
  10. Have a wonderful birthday bash. See you in Palm Springs.
  11. Todd/L.A. was a actor, living in Hollywood, who escorted on the side. He absolutely reveled in sex with a man. In bed he was like a playful puppy. He used to drive out to my play for dinner, sex and leftovers. He desperately wanted a partner and when he found one he escorted to help put the guy through school. When his partner found out he was escorting he threw a major hissy fit and Todd quit the business. I still send him a holiday greeting, every year, at his old email address. The email never bounces back but there is never a response. Had I been twenty years younger, at the time we met, I would have made the biggest play for this guy imaginable. I sincerely hope he is happy and successful.
  12. Only in California does this STUPID type of nonsense happen. I only wish I were young enough to get the hell out of here. All my family and friends are here and the unfortunate truth is that when one reaches a certain age one tends to stay where ones doctors are.
  13. At home I always weigh first thing is the morning stark naked - I consider that my actual weight. At the doctors office I don't bother emptying my pockets or taking off my shoes. I'm not overweight so my doctor has never questioned my weight but if he ever does I will explain the above and continue doing as I currently do.
  14. I go to the gym early in the morning (5 a.m.) and afterwards have coffee with friends (6 a.m.). I return home at about 7 a.m. to shave and shower. If for some reason I don't go to the gym I might skip both showering and shaving for a day. Many years ago a dermatologist told me two showers a day, on a regular basis, was a major no no as it removed needed body oil which prevented the skin from drying out and scaling.
  15. The way things are going with this thread it just might go on ad infinitum nauseam. When all is said and done it simply comes down to the fact that we should live and travel where we feel comfortable and safe. Over the last fifty years I have traveled all over the world from Canada, Central America, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, North Africa, Singapore, Southeast Asia, to South America. A year ago in Paris two different people, with tears in their eyes, stopped me on the street in the Marais and thanked me for visiting despite the recent terrorist attacks the city had suffered. They added that tourism had dropped off markedly since the attacks. I absolutely refuse to give terrorist or cartel member that type of power over my life. In none of the above places have I ever been threatened or accosted. I absolutely refused to limit my travel options by what I see as perceived fears of others including the United States State Department. I have no plans to visit Iran, North Korea, or Syria anytime in the near future which is my choice. However, I am definitely considering a visit to Petra, in Jordan and Saint Catherine’s Monastery in the Egyptian Sinai. Each one of us must make our own choices and then abide by the consequences. When it comes to Puerto Vallarta I’ve made mine.
  16. How many gays were killed in the Florida nightclub attack? We frequently forget that things like this can and do happen any place in the world including here in the United States. I just spent ten day in Puerto Vallarta and never once felt unsafe. As in all places caution should be exercised especially when out and about late at night. Also PLEASE keep in mind that Mexico wouldn't have a drug cartel problem if the demand for drugs in this country wasn't so outrageous. Many in the U.S. love to condemn Mexico for its gun violence problems. Most of those gun used in Mexico are purchased in the U.S. (Texas) with cartel money that is stored in U.S. banks. U.S. banks are bulging with cartel dollars from which the they are making huge profits. Now if anybody thinks that is going to change they had better think again. Those banks are huge campaign donors to U.S. members of the House and the Senate from both the Democrats and Republicans. Enough of my rant!!!
  17. I always confirm an appointment the day before by text. At that time I tell the guy that I will text him when I leave home and again when I arrive at his place. I also state that I will NOT under any circumstances arrive early but will text him if traffic delays me. I arrived fifteen minutes early for my last appointment and waited in my car reading until the exact appointment time.
  18. Interesting I just wish he didn't list PNP as one of the things he's into.
  19. Damn latbear4blk you DO have outstanding taste in men.
  20. Bigvalboy you should be OK. The government is terribly concerned about tourism and has gone to great lengths to stabilize the situation along the entire Nile Valley. Currently the only place to avoid seems to be the northern part of Sinai where there isn't anything worth visiting anyway. Even St. Catherine's Monastery in the middle of Sinai appears safe to visit.
  21. BabyBoomer neither can I. I most definitely did NOT have Kesllar in mind when I made the previous post.
  22. If you know that the guy likes sexy underwear that should work well. Have never done it myself but I'm about to give it a shot.
  23. Drintor you are absolutely correct and that is exactly why I'm not leaving any of my possessions, other than family items, to my nephews. I'm willing all of my Native American Arts & Crafts to the gift shop at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. I am leaving a stipulation that EVERYTHING they receive MUST be sold in the gift shop and NOT placed in the museum’s permanent collection. Too many museums have back rooms filled with huge numbers of items that they have no room display. These items simply sit in backrooms collecting dust. I have loved owning these objects and I want other who will love them to purchase them from the Museum. I could care less what the Museum does with the money. My first edition books written by Brits who lived through the Indian Mutiny of 1857-58 will be shipped to an antiquarian bookstore in London and sold. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the British Museum. The rest of my book will be donated to the University of Southern California Library. My graphic art pieces will be sold and the proceeds donated to the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach California. My youngest nephew who loves to cook, as I do, will receive all of my cooking equipment. He already salivating at the very thought of inheriting my knives. Everything else can go to the Salvation Army or the dump.
  24. When my father died in 1982, unbeknownst to me, my mother purchased three plots in a local cemetery. I was 42 at the time and she probably assumed that I would never marry. I didn’t learn about the third plot until she died in 1995. I recently lost a beloved brother-in-law, of 63 years, which was a real jolt, and have been forced to face my own future and death. This spring I plan to go over to the cemetery and make plans for my cremation and the burial of the ashes in the plot my mother purchased. I will see if I can purchase a headstone that matches theirs. I don’t want any service or gather of any kind. My real problem isn’t the disposal of my remains – that’s relatively easy. What is difficult is arranging for the disposal of a huge number of objects I have spent a lifetime collecting. This spring I simply MUST start cataloguing everything and have my lawyer write up VERY specific instructions about what to do with everything.
  25. I'm bumping this back up because I'm also very interested if this guy is for real. Everything about him races my motor. Vegas just isn't all that far from Southern California.
