If you have never visited Palm Springs please understand that the standard dress there is California resort CASUAL. If you want to wear shorts to the dinner - great. OK here is my two cents regarding this matter and that's just about what it's worth. 1. I assume you are relatively new at hiring. 2. You obviously fucked up. 3. Being heart broken is, in my opinion, a bit extreme and an over reaction. 4. A loss of $100 is NOT likely to send you to the poor house.
