Cool! Most likely someone cancelled and you were at right place at the right time haha! That's great! I was able to get my appointment quickly online at 4:05pm, shot #2 Sunday morning!

Instead of waiting until 4pm, I tried logging on early and was able just now to get a same day appointment in Manhattan.  My guess is there has been a slowdown in people interested in a a first dose and plenty of others who have been waiting for a second dose.

Mine went away after 10 days. 

I'm ten days out from my first injection.  I still have a pink spot on my forearm at the injection site but it is very faint.  I'm confident it will be gone in 1-2 days.

I saw him in DC and had a great session.  Regret not having seen him one more time before he left town.

I opted to get the bivalent covid booster before the monkeypox booster... figured I'm more likely to breathe air than take a dick... 😅

I was able to get my second shot in France. I went there because supplies in Belgium are very limited and in France there's more vaccines than there is demand. France made it clear anyone from Belgium was welcome. I popped over the border with a friend a month ago for the first shot and now again for the second. 
They were setup like a Covid vaccine center with a lot of staff... But only three people showed up for the vaccination that day. For some reason guys are going less and less for the vaccine (as far as I can tell). 
Belgium has also started the intradermal method they're doing in the USA now. My shots were intramuscular.

I received the first dose 7/31, and at the time was told I’d receive an e-mail with my second dose appointment 4 weeks from then. Maybe the next batch of appointments will be open to include my first dose date 🤞🏻

Visited Why Not spa on West 4th for the first time. Good experience… nice setup offering full services… mani, pedi, facial, scrub. Only had a massage. The room I was in had a jacuzzi and shower but didn’t ask where those came in. Tony, young reasonably built Asian, did a fine thera-sensual massage. He was masked the entire time. Only small complaint is too much time face down, so I added an addition 15 minutes. Good value.

He is traveling for the next few weeks. Currently in FTL. I may take the plunge when he gets to SoCal.

Instead of “not too old” perhaps you could be more specific with an age range? I just had an amazing massage from a 42 year old….definitely “not too old” to do a great job…

I think August, one of my favorites is on the schedule for this week. He is from Thailand and gives a great massage. Also there is Chuck who is Chinese, he went by the name Andy at the older location, don't know the reason for the name change 😆..Also I believe that John is the Malaysian masseur that also worked at the 166 location. Hope that helped... I've only tried August out of the 3..

Well it’s extremely detailed and geared to the Immunology/Virology academic crowd. It also focuses on Vaccinia Virus and Modified Vaccinia Ankara neutralization by MVA-BN vaccine in addition to the antibodies generated against Monkeypox Virus by the MVA-BN vaccine. The sample numbers are low. 
I take from it that immunity for all MVA-BN vaccine recipients falls short of the immunity conferred by actual Monkeypox infection. There may be some advantage to current vaccination for those that have a history of Smallpox vaccination but the degree of protective immunity lacks equivalency to acquiring and recovering from currently circulating Monkeypox. The apparent “strikingly” worrisome finding is poor MPXV antibody yield among MVA-BN recipients (ie, generally born later than early 1970s) with no history of Smallpox vaccination. There is lacking research data on comparative infection risk for younger vs older. The results do not say anything conclusively one way or another about withholding of 2nd dose for childhood vaccinees. 
The article further underscores the imperative of fractional dosing research. It may also support the agenda of randomized control trials for efficacy, a concept so far avoided, wherein cohorts will be divided between vaccination and placebo, given the suggestion of poor vaccine immunogenicity that itself overrides ethical objection to the type of gold standard approach usually employed including for COVID vaccine development. One such trial has been registered in Spain.

Thanks for the summary SBb.  There seem to be a lot of questions around the usefulness of the current vaccine...particularly among younger folks that didn't get the smallpox vaccine years ago.  Also questions about the dosage regimen.
