  1. fairly certain he means S.E.C. SouthEastern Conference. I'm doubtful that trading in the 21 yo is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission
  2. Only practical advice. Ive communicated with guys who think overnight is 11pm until 7 am, others 7p-7a. Rates vary widely. My most recent overnight, $1K. Before that, but with several years' lapse, $1K for 12 hr overnight, $1.5K for full day.
  3. Currently in SF. Initial interest based only on the ad. Great example of why I like this forum and do my research. Mixed reviews on daddys. Response from guy that hes very upfront, clear about what he won't do. Except his RM ad lists those things.
  4. I think you're confusing the terms asphyxiate with aspirate. Someone deprived of air will asphyxiate.... full or empty stomach. While aspirate is about exhaling or using air/suction, its commonly used to describe choking because food was drawn up from the stomach into the lungs.
  5. I'm a conservative dresser. And dress for comfort. I'd probably avoid skinny jeans. I don't like the feeling of clingy clothes. And, I admit, can be judgmental and would never dress in a style I perceive as many decades too young for me. I.e, in my 50s, I'd wear almost anything that someone over 25 would wear. Label it "adult-wear" if you will. I'd feel foolish and conspicuous in 18 yo skater clothes. And I'm never on the forward edge of fashion trends - you won't see, (or wouldn't have seen,) me trotting around town with my pants cuffed up to my calves. CBS did a Father's Day story on "Dad Wear". And some fashionista reported that the fannypack is back. No way, no how, not me! The range of jeans has become so variable, I'm now wearing athletic cut jeans. I find that straight cut, boot cut, or full cut look sloppy. And I care more as its become ok to wear jeans and a sportcoat for work. I've become particularly fond of Levi's 541s.
  6. I've had a variety of experiences with resort fees. Made a reservation for a free promotional stay. Can't make online. Reservationist told me even resort fee comp'd. Got the email confirmation and it showed room charge $0.00 but resort fee to be charged. Called, complained, eventually wrote... they explained the reservationist was mistaken, but because she said it, they'll comp it. Made comp'd reservation online, paid the per night resort fee, at another Strip property. Knew about it, clearly indicated on website, per night, no surprise, etc. Made another reservation for a free promotional stay, same chain as #1. Reservationist told me even resort fee comp'd. I was skeptical, and she explained the fee definitely comp'd, but the confirming email is form letter, might show resort fee. Got the email confirmation and it showed room charge $0.00 and no resort fee to be charged. All other terms, food, freeplay, etc. of offer 1 and 3 were identical.... need to pay attention to every detail of an offer, and ask if not clear. And, be aware, sometimes even the resort's staff members don't know what they're talking about. All of the different offers come from different sources: reservations, marketing, player's club, player's club marketing, corporate, etc. [i learned by chatting with a seasoned, friendly representative while standing at the Player's Club counter in the casino. She said its confusing and frustrating for them too. Most casino employee's with direct-guest contact want you to win and get freebies as much as possible.] Offer for free nights, food, freeplay at a different property. They waive (not comp) resort fee, i.e. its not mandatory. However, that means paying a fee per device for wifi, fee to workout. Not sure about pool. And, they're currently modifying policies so that resort fee covers parking. So I will exercise the option and pay the resort fee upon arrival. Cautionary note.. i know current resort fee rate, but I'll call before leaving to ascertain if resort fee mysteriously increased $20 to cover "free" parking - it might change my rent-a-car or not decision.
  7. @Sammmmm I think you'd get more focused recommendation if you post links to SF rentguys you're considering, instead of asking for "similar to __________" or for open-ended recommendations. If you ask the internet, "where should I have dinner? I like steak." You're going to get recommendations for fine steakhouses, Sizzler, Teppanyaki, continental dining for Beef Wellington, the steak at Applebees, and diners with chicken-fried steak. If you ask "should I eat at XXXXXXXX, YYYYYYYYY, or ZZZZZZZZZZZ?" the responses will be more focused.
  8. Mosquitos hone in on heat. It's an interesting phenomenon to be with a group, and the mosquitoes eat some but not every group member. In families, the mother will feel she's being bitten more.... women have higher core temperatures. Get a friend who is always warm and sweaty. Joking aside.... just wondering... instead of showering off poison afterwards, would a cool shower beforehand have a mitigating effect on mosquito-attraction? Mosquitos are much less of a nuisance here in NorCal, compared to everywhere else I've lived. I have citronella candles on my patio, and often dont bother to light them. There's a variant of geranium called mosquito plant... some here swear by them, others proclaim its nonsense. I've never tried them. I visited a friend in Alaska, we went salmon fishing in a river. Five minutes in, my friend announced "uh oh, I forgot the Deet." Five minutes later, we were leaving, quickly. It really felt like survival, that the mosquitoes would eat us alive. The memory tempers my reaction to the occassional bite.
  9. A little over-simplified, but excellent advice. If travel plans are flexible, should be able to score free rooms. Often sun-thurs. They must be hurting for business. Ive played there once. Earned free buffets for two with 1-2 hours, and was 90% of way to either another free buffet for two, or a meal at their cafe. Within one week of coming home, Wynn emailed an offer for free nights, free meals, very generous free play. Already booked my return.
  10. Nope
  11. ....and.... where not to hang out at Mandalay Bay (yesterday)
  12. Thanks for the info @sniper. The free Aria exercise room is very nice. I'm not a spa kinda-guy, so I wouldnt pay just for access to showers and a locker room. And Im not wired to cruise at any gym, spa, etc. Going back to LV soon... will see what facilities are like at next resort.
  13. In the last two months, Ive used the fitness facilities at Aria and Mandalay Bay. Neither was accessible via a locker room. Aria's overlooks pool... no showers, etc. Nice center, lots of equipment. Covered by resort fee. But if you want shower, locker, etc... need to arrange and pay for spa visit. After working out, I even asked desk attendant "so I need to go through the halls, in the elevator, sweaty like this? " yep. Mandalay Bay has a small cardio room adjacent nothing. Around the corner from their spa. Room key access, not much equip but adequate. No locker or changing facilities. I didnt use the fitness center at Caesar's Palace. Based on the two I visited, I dont think you need worry about attire. Plan to enter and leave in workout attire. Or pay for spa access My last days, I hung out at the pool in shorts after checkout. One visit, I changed in a restroom, and one, I changed into jeans on the plane.
  14. Two suggestions in buying a mattress: Don't be reserved in any mattress showroom. Try the many positions for which you use a bed. Example...its years since I tried a Sleep Number. It was super comfortable when laying down. Had a bit of a plastic air mattress noise whenever I moved. However, I sit at the foot of my bed to put on shoes... and I found the support totally inadequate. Totally sunk in when sitting up. (Might be better nowadays) So... don't just lay down in the showroom. Do you sit up and read? Are you fond of getting on your knees with a partner? Etc. Try the mattress in all desired positions. [This second point might not be relevant to Sleep Number, and their manufacturer's store exclusivity sales model.] Mattresses are labeled to prevent comparison shopping. However, if you pay careful attention to exact features, and don't care about ticking, you can compare and negotiate between retailers. I bought a Stearns & Foster latex mattress at a local store. I noted the depth, the different layers of foam, the pillowtop, etc. I found the exact same configuration, S&F, but different model name and ticking, online. I always try to buy local first, support local retailers. I'll pay a bit more. But if savings are significant, (20% or more) I'll order online. I showed the online mattress to the local retailer... and before I could even ask about price, they not only offered a price match, they also retained their current promo of no sales tax. So I actually got it at a lower price. Reinforced what I'd already read online - the markup on mattresses is huge and there's alot of room to negotiate with retailers. People report foam, particularly memory foam, is heat-sensitive to mold to our bodies. But that also means they reflect back heat and people sleep warm. I know nothing about graphite. The heat issue is why I bought the latex, which reportedly does not reflect back heat same as foam. Maybe thats a gimmick, but I'm happy with the mattress, and its not hot.

I never saw a promo for the movie. I have Moviepass, and its playing here. Guess I should go see it. And, one of my favorite things, I learned a new word: hagiography. Btw, off topic for this thread. Just saw Oceans Eight. Better than expected. I'd buy the soundtrack for good background music, too.
  16. This was a very helpful thread.
  17. Anyone else watching Succession? I think it has potential. Sort of Bernie Madoff family members if they were locked in the Big Brother house.
  18. Practical reaction: its part of the world we live in... just don't answer. If you try ignoring, but caller ID shows same exact number multiple times... block the number. There are ways to block numbers on landlines and cellphones. Mostly, just live with it. Passive-aggressive reactions: hey, we all gotta vent a little somewhere... If its a robot.... let loose with an insane stream of invective. Call the robot by every vile, offensive word imaginable. When I do this, its so absurd, I laugh out loud within 2-3 seconds. If its a live caller, I use a version of the Seinfeld response: "I'm very interested in talking to you. What is your home phone number and the time you sit down to dinner each night, so that I can call you back?"
  19. https://jock2go.eu/JustinAdams Cant find anything here searching that name... although maybe theres been a name change Clicked every Daddys review in London (as there aren't that many...) ...no picture matches Anyone recognize the photos, or know anything about him? ========= Apologies... should have also searched RM... searching "justin" revealed "Justyn", https://rentmen.eu/Justyn the threads here, etc. ========== Update/Edit #2: I think its a tech glitch that Jock2go search of San Francisco returns Justin. RM specifically lists him as being in London at present. I'd delete this post if I could
  20. Glad others have found that.... that vid is on my workout playlist I've pedaled many a mile to the inspirational performance ---- although still gotten nowhere.
  21. Were you in Vegas at the time, with the "near me" gps search option also checked? If yes, and he's blocking gps/proximity... that might explain it. Or, he's really far outside of town. Im just hypothesizing... dont really know
  22. Having been in Vegas in April and again in May... I was looking for an escort who would stand next to my slot machine, agree accompany me up to my room to provide service at half-price, with the opportunity to be paid double if I hit a mega-jackpot. Alas, I found no one agreeable to the proposition.
  23. Its not really sin city... other than gambling, its got very long standing, religiously-conservative attitudes. Perhaps things will change as people are more openly gay... and more accepting. Luxor has a gay pool party every Sunday. Ive recently had follow up customer service, post visit, surveys from both MGM & Caesars properties, and there were questions regarding the chains being open minded, receptive to LGBTQ. Regarding guests and as employers. I.e. they're targeting the market.
  24. I can relate to the experience, the fantasy, and doing nothing. While Ive never heard two guys, years ago I heard a couple in the adjacent room going at it so loudly, it shook the mirror on the opposite, non-adjacent wall. The rattling mirror woke me. My bed shook. Went from startling, to annoying, to funny, to going on sooo long, I became impressed. I wanted to see the participants. Never did. ======= I would probably take no action other than wishing in the situation described. The one thought that comes to mind, here at home from the safety of a comfy chair and the knowledge its probably never going to happen..... Leave an anonymous note on their door. "Impressed by what I heard last night. I'm on Grindr, will appear as very close by if you check." Set Grindr to indicate interests.... participant, active voyeur, some way to convey "generous", etc - whatever your particular interests/hopes. You'll never know if they bothered to look, looked and rejected idea, etc. But at least its a safe way to "take a shot." And might get very lucky.
