Yes to Late Birds! Stayed there for our first trip after Covid and the hotel was awesome. It's very nice and, even though it seems to have wooden floors throughout, I never heard anyone walking around in another room like I have in other hotels. It's also on a quiet back street which helps with traffic noise.

Here are the treasury rates listed on Fidelity after the employment report came out this morning. Not sure how they moved since I didn't look at them prior to the report... 1 month: 5.361% 3 month: 5.319% 6 month: 5.16% For those who live in high tax places like NYC, you'd be saving 10% (about) in taxes on this interest (depending on your tax bracket)...so you'd be keeping an extra 0.52ish % out of those 5+% rates...if I did the math correctly.

No, paying off your balance in full will not affect your score. I've been travel hacking (which partly involves applying for lots of credit cards) for years and I've never heard that.

Not sure specifically about bank CDs, but I noticed treasuries have dropped a little bit. I think the market is starting to (rightly or wrongly) price in Fed rate cuts for 2024. Until the Fed actually does do that, I think any current downside will be limited. Since there is a chance we might be at the top of the rate cycle, I went ahead and bought a 2 year CD from Goldmans about a month ago and have extended my 3 month purchases out to 6 month treasury purchases. Interestingly, I have an account at Ivy bank and their Index savings is at 5.696% APY and their regular savings is at 5.3% APY. Of course, these are not local tax free accounts so I'll have to pay a little more taxes on the interest.

I think he's been discussed before (?), but I was checking out his ad prior to being in London in September. Right before I left, his ad went dormant so I don't know if he took a break or not. Also, when I checked out his active ad last year his rate at the time was 300 pounds, which I thought was a lot compared to most of the guys on Sleepyboys. Now, if I am reading it correctly, his rate is down to 200. He now discusses a partner which I didn't notice before.

I used to know him socially (friend of a friend) but didn't recognize him in the ad a few years ago and scheduled with him. Luckily, I figured it out and cancelled...would have made get togethers when we were both there a little uncomfortable (for me).

I would never send a photo, but I could 'maybe' see why someone asked for a photo if a client they don't know is coming to their home...but he's doing massages at a studio.
