As an update to my Oct 10 post above, the T bills in my Fidelity account (for the 13 week which equates to 3 months bills) that I purchased when the rate was listed at 3.22% executed with an effective rate of 3.52%. Not sure if that is because rates moved up while I waited for the order to execute or it was in the vagaries in how these things work.

Well, that'll pay for one massage a month or maybe an escort every other...😆

I've already bought my bonds for this year so now that this rate is confirmed, I'm going to buy some in our gift accounts that we can distribute next year.

I'm glad you brought this to my attention. I have a Fidelity account mainly cuz that's where my company has my 401K. I just checked the rates there for the T-bills and the new issues are at 3.22% for the time frame I'm looking for (about 3 months) and the CD rates are anywhere from 3% to 3.3%. So, almost exactly the same. If I were buying these in a taxable account, being in NYC, I'd go your route and get the non-state & local tax treasuries for sure.

I was told I'd get a card but didn't for the MP. Not sure it's that big an issue...in Europe last month I didn't see squat about MP though I did about Corona, of course.

If it were an incall with 'extras', I'd say it was cheap. If it's strictly therapeutic, then $120 is probably about right (a spa would end up being similar once tip is included.)

I've only walked by it, but there was a lot of glass windows on the ground floor and I could see male/female couples sitting there having drinks in robes. Doubt this place has anything gay related, though you never know.

Just to chime in on what I was told about timing of all these vaccines...I got my 2nd MP on Wednesday and was told by there RN overseeing the operation to wait a month before I get the new Covid (which I already knew). I specifically asked her about the flu vax and the Shingrix vax (since I had my first one in July and have to have the second one of those within 6 months). She said they had no guidance about flu and Shingrix in regards to MP vax so she believed there were no issues. So, I guess when the month is up I'll get my Covid and the other two at the same time.

I don't believe there's a card like the Covid vax card everyone got. I got an 8x11 sheet documenting my first MP shot and was told I'd get a 'card' after the second. Got my second on Wednesday and they gave me another 8x11 sheet showing it. I'm just going to copy it and put a pic on my phone. Unlike Covid though, I've never been asked about MP...maybe I will if I go to a gay event of some sort, but we just got back from Europe and weren't even asked about Covid (though we did have to wear masks on Iberia and on the metro in Munich).

I already bought some this year (in April to get the then 7.? rate and then the now current 9.6 rate) for our gift accounts (mine and the SO). Once I see they confirm it will reset high again in Nov (which I don't see any way it would NOT be high), I plan on buying another $10K for our gift accounts that we can send over in Jan of 2024.

When I was an FO on the S80 (waaaay back when), we had Reeves on a flight to Nashville once. I think he was touring with his band and he was scruffy looking as hell. I don't think I recognized him right off, but the captain did. As he got off the plane, the CA asked him why didn't sit in first, and Reeves said something to the effect that he wouldn't unless his whole band was sitting there. He did come off as a normal Joe kinda guy.

On the plus side...at least he's up front about everything. Couldn't imagine booking and then finding all this out upon arrival or once on the table. That being said...no way I'd hire him with that text.

I think that since they want as short a time interval between doses, it makes sense they're starting with those at the longest interval now. Unfortunately, I'm leaving for Europe on Thursday so I doubt I'll get mine until early Oct when I'll be at about 8 weeks.

I don't know how many 2nd doses they have or if it'll roll out faster than the 1st shots, but I imagine that they will come out quicker. If that is the case, then I don't think it'll take as long to get people their 2nd dose...in other words, I think the 10 weeks for a second shot should shorten as they go along, hopefully getting to the 4 weeks that's ideal. How long that would take though, is anyone's guess.

For grins, I got on the site to schedule a second dose (here in NYC) and it says only taking those who had their 1st dose prior to July 3rd. So, if any of you fall under that...go for it.

I don't think you're going to have to wait 10 weeks. I don't know how long, but that is just the first batch since they're the longest. I'm sure as they catch up on the 2nd doses, the time in between is going to come down.
