  1. I used to use bankrate but found they don't list a lot of banks. DoC (Doctor of Credit) has a section that lists high yields around the US.
  2. Back in '19 I was in touch with Apollo about meeting up at my place in LIC, but I never went through with it. I felt he pressured me a little too much to meet, and, having never hired before at that time, I was nervous about going through with it. Not to mention, living in a doorman building, I felt self-conscious about having someone who looks like him show up at my place, LOL. After reading everything here, I wish I had done it. I'm sure it would have been awesome!
  3. The only thing that puts me off about seeing Fabio is the paper-ish sheet on the table in the pics. It's not a real sheet and doesn't grip the table like a fitted sheet would. Can anyone comment on that? When you roll over does it bunch up under you...awkward?
  4. I agree, but even without the tax benefits the treasuries look better. Current yields on Fidelity: 3-mo treasury - 5.41%, 3-mo CD - 5.2%
  5. $1 CDN is about $0.75 US...so his rate is about $187 US.
  6. I think you missed counting the jacket 😆
  7. That's partly why I've been buying 3 month treasuries...1/3 of my cash each month so I have maturities every month that I can tap if needed. But on the other hand, I have a huge bunch of cash just in online savings accounts getting anywhere from 5% to 5.5%..so no need to lock in anything.
  8. My last treasury buy (3 mo bills) came out to 5.49% APY when I did the math.

  10. His private pics are enticing. Can someone PM me his rates?
  11. Except for '21 and '22, if the next cola is 3.1%, it'll be the highest since 2011. So, historically not all that bad. With compounding and the 5.9% and 8.7% of the last 2 years, the dollar amount rise will be higher than it otherwise would have been if inflation had stayed low.
  12. LOL.
  13. Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)...always a rip off.
  14. Agreed, I was thinking about hiring him when I'm there in Sept, but that price is pretty steep compared to other guys.
  15. I just love clicking on a gay video link and getting an ad showing a fat chick with huge floppy tits, LOL. You'd think the ads would be geared more toward the audience.
  16. Nick_William - Male Escort, Gay massage - New York City | Rent.Men RENT.MEN Nick_William Gay Escort in New York City, New York, available for Gay Escorting,Boyfriend Experience. | Find... Surprised this guy hasn't been brought up yet. 29 5-star reviews on rent.men. Any intel?
  17. Did he get nude?
  18. Yes, and the fact that the massage actually looks like a massage with the guy going deep. Not one of those "let me rub my finger tips over your skin for 2 minutes....now, f... my ass". LOL.
  19. During the first 5 years you own the bond, you will lose the last three months of interest if you cash it in. You also do not earn interest in the month that you cancel the bond. When they post the interest earned each month, those four months are already figured into, which is why no interest posts to the account until the 1st day of the 5th month of ownership. I like the way this woman explains this stuff much better than Suzie. The interest and its accrual is explained starting at 3:30.
  20. Current Fidelity treasuries are just shy of 5.2% and don't pay state and local taxes...which saves another 10% here in NYC as compared to their MM's. I'll gladly "lock in" the funds for 3 months to a year for that.

First time post...must not be real.
  22. LOL, for frequent US travelers, this has been a thing for years.
  23. And then on the other hand, we've been to Iceland twice (2017 and 2021) and I don't even know what their currency looks like. They are all in on electronic payments for everything. Tap your card or your phone or however. I had to go out of my way to make sure I got some currency as a souvenir.
  24. "Dynamic Currency Conversion"...the worst deal ever. Always use local currency if asked when using a credit card. Probably second worst deal next to changing money at the airport currency conversion desk...ugh.
  25. We've never had an issue with foreign ATMs. Of course, my telling you this will jinx you. Since we go to Europe so much, I have a little bit of Euros and Pounds that I have so we won't be stuck when we get over. You can hit the ATM at the airport, but depending on how many there are and if all the other pax are trying to use the same one to get cash.
