  1. Carrier pigeon.
  2. According to DoC, 3.11% including the 1.2% fixed. New I-Bonds Estimated Rate: 3.11% APY (Variable + Fixed) - Doctor Of Credit WWW.DOCTOROFCREDIT.COM (Update 10/31/24: Confirmed 3.11% rate with 1.20% fixed and the rest variable; this is for November 2024 through April 2025.) We’ve been reporting on the My last treasury buy was at 4.45% for 6 months, so the new I-bond rate is currently not competitive. Though, if rates drop another 1%, they might be.
  3. Do you still have the card? If so, call Barclays and try to get your log in details, or pay it off over the phone...the number will be on the back. It's not that hard to find this info to get it taken care of. As an aside, when I went through my CC fiasco in my 20's, one thing I did was to take out a loan at a bank and used that to pay off my credit card. The interest rate was around 8% which is much lower than the ~21% that most banks charge now.
  4. I mentioned in another thread a while back that we walked by there several months ago. It looks like a very legit kind of place (ie. no hanky panky). There were windows you could look through and see people (most were hetero couples) sitting at tables in robes eating and drinking. Not a place I'd go if I was looking for a happy ending kind of gay massage.
  5. He's listed his current location in NYC for the last couple of days. He maps to northern LIC, so not that far from me. His price structure for 60 minutes ranges from $150 for therapeutic to $250 for erotic. Haven't seen him, and probably won't.
  6. When I was in the Navy (way back when) I had only one credit card that I had maxed out on the limit. I got a loan to pay it off (to lower the interest payments) but then proceeded to run it back up to its limit again. About a year later I was stationed in a more remote place where I didn't spend much money (plus I didn't need a car, so I sold mine) so I finally paid off all my debts and have never owed money again on anything (but especially credit cards). Now, since I lost my flight benefits from my airline (due to being out on disability and unable to pass a flight physical), I got into accumulating miles and points from credit cards as a way to keep traveling...but I still never carry a balance and meticulously pay them off every month. This "hobby" is not for everyone, though. It takes a lot of discipline to not get in debt and lose control.
  7. DoC (Doctor of Credit) is predicting a total I-bond rate of 3.1% which would include a 1.2% fixed rate (but he then says the number could be lower)...so this rate is a complete wag. IF that is what it is, then I'll be doing much better on the I-bonds I sold in January and switched to 3 and 6 month treasuries...some are still locked in at rates over 5%. Current offers on Fidelity are 4.65% for 3-month and 4.44% for 6-month treasuries.
  8. Yea, I don't pay and I get the option to message him.

  10. Zach Braff's younger brother?
  11. In Ikeer's ad, he answered "yes" to smoking. THAT'S what Harryinny is talking about.
  12. Hot guy. He has a 5.0 rating on rent.men with 75 reviews...that's pretty impressive. I may have to give him a shot.
  13. Oh, lol. Didn't know that was a thing.
  14. The location in the ad shows 105 St east of Central Park. So, guess he's not in midtown anymore. Wonder if he still has a roommate.
  15. Funny that his photos are 7 of his butt (most nude) and 2 of his cock....yet he's a top.
  16. Why wait? The current split between t-bills and the non fixed rate I-bonds is almost double, which means the interest you get in the 3 months after you sell will more than make up for the 3 months interest you waiting to save...in 3 years.
  17. Saw him today for the first time. Woof!
  18. His ad shows Manhattan now.
  19. I find the use of the word "Exclusive" a little odd. Exclusive to what?
  20. It might cement a rate cut, but since it IS cooling, I'm hearing (from the TV in the other room :P) that they might not do a 1/2 pt cut like a lot of 'experts' were expecting.
  21. Just finished 'Paris' by Edward Rutherfurd, which was ok (I think Sarum, the first book of his I read has been my fav of his). Started 'Guns, Germs, and Steel' by Jared Diamond...was recommended to me by another pilot I flew with once. Supposed to be a history of the world type of thing....we'll see.
  22. I thought I recognized that author so I went and checked my bookshelf and found Massie's books on 'Peter the Great' and 'Nicolas & Alexandria'. Never thought to look up other works by him (I read those books in Jr. High when my Mom gave them to me to read).
  23. Nothing in search and doesn't look familiar. No reviews yet. Anyone with the 411? CalebBlanco on RentMasseur RENTMASSEUR.COM View my profile on RentMasseur.com
  24. I agree with the recs. We did Munich in '22 and loved it.
  25. I know for sure that he did since I used to have him in my favs list on rentmen. Probably still does but I'm too lazy to look for it 😛
