Lol not really. I just shopped around. I was fortunate enough that my first massage was by someone who really did an awesome therapeutic deep tissue service and unfortunately he stopped so I had to find alternatives.
 
If the massage isn't good I'm just not going to repeat so with guys who do just do ok , I'm never really feeling relieved of soreness. I do workout and get knots in my back frequently. If someone works those out they are a keeper in my book. Also if they actually massage the quad area of my legs makes it a difference too.
 
I'm in Atlanta and use Tim who's been discussed a lot. Definitely an experience with his technique. And there's two guys who are fairly priced for their therapeutic work but don't have the pretty boy bodies but the massage is awesome and I am good if there's no extras.

Masseurfinder is indicting themselves with these "odd" changes. Yes, some of their changes are smart in the current climate of SESTA/FOSTA. But this change......and the change of removing masseur's contact informationbetween 12 Midnite and 6am is an admission of guilt. A "legit" massage website (think Massage Envy) would NEVER consider a disclaimer before going to their website....or removing their phone numbers during 12 Midnite to 6am, since they are legit. Masseurfinder's strategy is going to backfire, since changes like these draw attention to the authorities that something illegal is going on with these masseurs. They are going WAY overboard, and making a bad situation worse with insane ideas such as this.

So the next question... is this only for Massuerfinder or is this also on Massagefinder and if not, why?

I’m new to both the board and getting massages (outside of the therapeutic chain spas). I’ve appreciated everyone on the board (I’ve avoided some people I was possibly interested in because of numerous warnings).
 
I’ve only had three massages (from three different people), and I’ve enjoyed every one. I’m happy to discuss my experiences with people who’ve PM’d me, but I get the reluctance. I feel it’s almost easier to discuss a bad experience. I try to reiterate the YMMV aspect, even though I know it’s implied. What I’m looking for/enjoy may not be the same thing you are. I’d hate for someone to book based off my recommendation and have a lousy experience, but I think we all understand that’s the risk.

For me...If I wanted a quicky I'd hire an escort for a 30 minute session - with the $$ savings. What I usually want (and what I save my pennies for) is a genuine massage where the masseur is focused on making me feel good and paying attention to my muscles and my body....which..yes.. turns sensual and ends with release. Nothing makes me feel more cheated than agreeing on a scene, and a premium price of $150 or even $180... and then getting a guy that goes right for the climax clearly intending just to get the session over.

I get people inboxing for info, but honestly I feel like I'm doing a disservice to both that person and the masseur because each encounter is so highly personal. What happened with me may not happen with you. I love the phrase YMMV, but really it's YMWV your mileage WILL vary, unless he's a massage-bot.

Yes, this is what you do. Respond back privately and be as thorough as you can be, give them all the goodies. Now when you get more request for the same masseur. Go to your SENT box, copy and paste the earlier email and send to the new requestor. Easy-Peasey. Terp

It's pretty easy to in some cities to simply hook up with someone for free. I'm highly likely not going to get someone to just do a massage and maybe something more for free. So I definitely want good massage skills at the 100+/hr range. As mentioned above I can go to a massage chain or one of independent spots for a strictly business massage for 90 mins and not break $100.00 in the Atlanta market.
 
If a guy has lackluster skills in the massage department, IDC what extras he has or how attracted I am to him, I'm likely not going to repeat. If the massage is on point and he's hot, we have chemistry, and/or there's some mutual extras that will definitely get me to go back. I feel that the guys charging 160/HR are likely doing a lot more than massage and that's fine but not what I'm looking for. Clearly they are charging that much because they have people who are paying it so I'm not mad at that at all. But at 160/hr and all I'd get is a simple rub down and maybe a HE after upgrading, that's quite alright.
 
We have a lot of tempting visitors here but I'm leary on some of them when they are charging so much more than the locals. At least charge one rate on MF/MM4M So I know it's massage rates and a different one on RMEN So that I know that it's probably the escort rate. Making the rates the same across all these platforms yields too much ambiguity.
 
I have found in my area 2 guys who charge 160 for 90 mins and the massages are great and have extras. They both have very different styles from each other. Then if I'm more budget conscious, I have 2 that are really good at therapeutic and cost 100/90min or less. One has HE but the other doesn't but skills are awesome. These are acceptable rates and competitive with the commercial places and I like that they are getting all the money paid to them. While the last two mentioned guys are not muscled pretty boys, they do a spa quality work.

I noticed one of my reviews of a provider were removed. I went back to find the draft I typed, shout out to Evernote, and everything was on the level, but I typed the phrase "positions his body " and I guess that was enough to get the entire thing erased. I didn't even write it to allude to anything.
 
Seeing people write reviews with "ample assets" "tip top notch" or "hands made for this type of job" definitely steer people into thinking about the direction things could be going. My review was tame in comparison.
 
I think they should have provided a warning to their paying customers that changes were coming. Not being transparent about it looks shady. We understand why there's changes but the way they are going about it is wrong.
 
TBH They probably were not even prepared or were paying attention beforehand. Once CL made their announcement, MF and M4M seem more like they made reactionary responses instead of prepared ones.

They were prepared. Once the idea of FOSTA was even being entertained months ago, that made us tighten our ads then. Made us take out some verbage.
 
And then they made us tighten them again more recently. 2 weeks ago I tried updating pics, and nothing with the slightest hint of chest (even just my face) made it through.

You are spot on about YMMV. I have had better experiences with some people than others and vice versa. Anything extra is extra and may not even occur with the same person successive times.
 
Pretty much at this point I just have no expectations when approaching new people and just ask questions up front and make sure that if it's something they would rather talk about in person than via text, that's fine. I want a good massage first and anything beyond that is icing.

I think they are making changes without notifying them, deleting reviews, suspending profiles, etc without a heads up. I think that's the issue, lack of communication from MF of what's going on or what direction they are going.

Lately I have received PMs from “newbies” asking me to share my experience with masseurs I have commented about on this forum. I provide very general details, but the newbie keeps pressing for a play-by-play commentary - which I refuse to give.

I like having some idea of what they are going to charge. Some people I'm not spending 150/hr on my budget. Especially when they are only charging that much because of their muscles and looks when the massage skills are lacking.

I have some guys I would definitely call again but I'd be less likely to try a visitor or any new guys in the area now. For me, I really want a legitimate massage more than anything extra. If that happens, great. I have had massages that have hit the 120 range and there wasn't anything happy about it and the massage wasn't that great either. Meanwhile, they have glowing and raving reviews. At that price point, I feel like I should be happy and not indigo when I leave. Those are the one and done providers for me.
 
On the flip, I've had 140-160 ranged and everything went well, awesome massage but the ending felt disengaged. I definitely don't want to feel like it's a chore for them if they are trying to make things happy. I have even dropped less 80 and the massage was so so but I definitely wasn't indigo at the end. That is acceptable as far as pricing goes but I still don't want to leave still having knots in my back or stiff glutes.
 
Oh well, going forward I have 4 guys I know I can call that fit the balance at the price points I'm willing to pay and will just have my expectations set accordingly. I chose finding these providers through these particular sites because I know I can go to these guys and not feel embarrassed if I'm in a turgid state, I'm easily excited and sensitive, versus going to a commercial place and selecting a male masseur and he's straight and freaking out. I'm sure they are used to it but I'd rather everyone involved feel comfortable because if the situation was flipped, I definitely wouldn't prefer to be massaging females as a gay man.

By no means does this apply to all non-black gays, but there really are a surprising number of gays (white, Hispanic, middle eastern and Asian) who, secretly, are attracted to black guys, but because of something else going on, won't express their attraction or admit to it in from of their friends or anyone else. Many even seem downright embarassed and ashamed as if it's some type of secret guilty pleasure they don't want anyone to know about, lol. (BTW, the situation is a whole 'nother story when I'm overseas for business). I'm black. And have experienced it more times than I can count.
 
But it's kool. I'm 100% attracted to all races/ethnic backgrounds regardless, so more for me.
