Not being cheap but the price range seems to be at 90 - 150. The sweet spot is around 120.

Just me: 150 is a bit of a stretch. I usually go for 120 or less. Share your thoughts guys maybe some masseur member here will get an insight how the market works. Also, for empowering us customers. Coz at the end of the day...we deserve what we pay for and we drive the market :)

$90-125 at the moment (great if they give a discount too). I'm a freelancer and can go months with minimal or no checks to a couple of big ones hitting at once. It makes budgeting...interesting, especially since my clients and types of projects are starting to shift. A private massage is an absolute luxury for me at the moment.

I would venture to say a service provider's overhead costs (i.e. massage table, oils, lotion, training, travel costs, furnishings, etc.) are a greater drive for market prices.

Depends on my mood, the phase of the moon, what city I’m in, what the local

market rates are, who’s in town, when I last got off, what I had for dinner

last night, and how many martinis I’ve had.....

In other words....it’s all over the place.

One thing I’ve learned....more $$$$....does NOT guarantee a better experience.

Reading thru the posts I noticed something was not clarified. Are we talking masseurs that are offering therapeutic massage with no mutual touch, and no HE? I know many that are on the gay massage sites who slide by on their hot looks and only offer that and charge in the $120-$150 range, which I think is insane! Even seen some as high as $180.....for JUST a massage. I don't even go there with masseurs from Masseurfinder, M4M,etc. For that I just go for a strictly therapeutic massage at my local Massage Envy for $60. Now if I am horny, and want an EROTIC massage, I will go to MF, M4M, etc. and there are many that will offer nude, mutual touch, HE.....in that case my top price is $160. So just Therapeutic? Massage Envy for $60. For Erotic? $160.

It’s all over the place for me. I’ve had good massages from under $150 price points and not so good ones from higher price points, and vice versa. It doesn’t make sense to me paying a higher price for one with so-so massage skills. I could get the extras anywhere so that should not be the determining factor. Heck I could get it from a guy checking me out at the bar last night for free. It should be the skills.

I hover around $100-$120, but the best deal I had was with Alexi from Miami. It was $200 for 90 minutes and they were the best $200 I've ever spent. I just wish I was super good looking to the point that he wouldnt be able to resist his urge to mount me <_<.

Remember Moe- it's not always looks that make you irresistible. It's the chemistry between the parties . . . And the size of your wallet that plays a part.

I'm too socially awkward for many, hopefully I'll win the lottery (or get beat up by a United Airlines employee) soon and be able to throw wallets full of cash at men.

This.

It's pretty easy to in some cities to simply hook up with someone for free. I'm highly likely not going to get someone to just do a massage and maybe something more for free. So I definitely want good massage skills at the 100+/hr range. As mentioned above I can go to a massage chain or one of independent spots for a strictly business massage for 90 mins and not break $100.00 in the Atlanta market.

If a guy has lackluster skills in the massage department, IDC what extras he has or how attracted I am to him, I'm likely not going to repeat. If the massage is on point and he's hot, we have chemistry, and/or there's some mutual extras that will definitely get me to go back. I feel that the guys charging 160/HR are likely doing a lot more than massage and that's fine but not what I'm looking for. Clearly they are charging that much because they have people who are paying it so I'm not mad at that at all. But at 160/hr and all I'd get is a simple rub down and maybe a HE after upgrading, that's quite alright.

We have a lot of tempting visitors here but I'm leary on some of them when they are charging so much more than the locals. At least charge one rate on MF/MM4M So I know it's massage rates and a different one on RMEN So that I know that it's probably the escort rate. Making the rates the same across all these platforms yields too much ambiguity.

I have found in my area 2 guys who charge 160 for 90 mins and the massages are great and have extras. They both have very different styles from each other. Then if I'm more budget conscious, I have 2 that are really good at therapeutic and cost 100/90min or less. One has HE but the other doesn't but skills are awesome. These are acceptable rates and competitive with the commercial places and I like that they are getting all the money paid to them. While the last two mentioned guys are not muscled pretty boys, they do a spa quality work.

Since I live in a pricey market where the going rate for a legitimate experienced massage starts at $100/hr--I'm excluding low end places like Massage Envy--that means my rates are a little higher. I completely agree with @MassageDrew and @Kinected. I enjoy certain types of guys, but it's much more important that they're actually skilled at massage.

If he's my type and skilled, I have no problem expecting $150/hr, but beyond that would be excessive to me. My tolerance for pricing in escorting is completely different since my expectations are different too.

Agreed. Lots of advertisers sliding on looks and taking advantage IMO of the market on MF and RM which is where a lot of disappointed reviews seem to come from. In my local area - rates are all over the place and it is up to the client to know what they’re getting into. And, more expensive doesn’t mean a better experience (therapeutic or not) by a long shot. Learned that lesson the hard way. Paid $160 / hour to a guy in Dallas on MF who talked nonstop, chatted about his fake eye, and basically smeared crap neutrogena oil on me and then said have a nice day. LOL. Worst ever. I digress though. Something within reason price wise and skilled earns my repeat, weekly business.

Agreed. There a handful of “straight” guys in LA who start their “erotic massages” at $200+. With the competition in LA, I’m confused as to how these guys stay in business but I guesss if they get a few business travelers each week who see them just once, they can easily make ends meet.

Those prices wouldn’t stick with local repeat clients though - as once you see the goods once, there isn’t usually much to look forward to as these “straight” masseurs’ skills tend to be almost non-existent.

My baseline is that I can get excellent therapeutic massage at a chiropractor's office next door for $80 an hour.

My thing is that I like to feel comfortable and not worry about getting one of my very frequent erections :) AND I absolutely need to have my glutes taken care of because I run and do weights, so you can imagine how these two needs are correlated. The best way to keep me relaxed and comfortable is if the masseur is willing to be naked with me as well, to level the playing field so to speak. I'll pay $120 for a competent masseur willing to do all that and $140 if he is really hot. I go for 90 minute sessions, so this usually ends up being in the $150-$200 range.

I am not into sexual escorty stuff anyway but if the guy is hot and there is chemistry some mutual touching and teasing is a super nice way to complete the session, and here I am willing to go up to $160 but prefer to keep it at $140-$150 (so $200-$220 for 90 minutes). I don't know why people immediately jump to comparisons with escorts, to me, this is more like a Montreal stripper experience element, you see a hot guy and you get to touch him a little, that's all, no oral or anal sex.

Now, the problem arises with guys who see this gig as an easy way to make money, especially if they are straight, which often makes them act as if they were doing you some kind of favor. A guy with (1) no or low massage skills and (2) unwilling to get naked is a total ripoff at any price level no matter how hot he is. A hot guy with one of the two issues is a rip off at any price above $100, but I wouldn't hire him even if he charged less than $100 because of my basic option listed above.

In any case, it is remarkable how many of the listings on masseurfinder and rentmasseur fall into this "let's make some easy money" category. So be ready for the most likely outcome of a "meh" experience when you hire a new masseur, sad but true. Especially if you get no recommendation from this forum, but keep in mind that you still may end up unhappy even after receiving assurances from some of the members here ;-)

A quick update to my previous post. I am not sure whether masseurs have noticed ?, but the world has been turned upside down and we are in serious recession. The previously insanely high apartment rents in places like NYC & SF are coming down and many people are out of work.

So, I am puzzled by aggressive price increases by some masseurs. Some admittedly hot guys are charging $200 an hour for nude massage with touching allowed. Sorry, my psychological limit is still $160, which was until recently and hopefully still largely is a standard. In bad economic times, you’d expect rates to come down, not go up.

Of course, every masseur is free to set his own rate, but there are good and there are dumb business decisions. Thoughts & experiences?

By and large my limit is $160, partly because this is NYC. Frankly, it's hard to get a good massage from a hot guy at less than that here. I will consider going to $180 if he's really hot and if reports here are that the massage is genuinely good and that the extras are worth it.

I personally charge $145 for 60 mins or $185 for 90 mins. I have hired guys in the past and I am always disappointed that they charge more then me and their massage sucks.

I live in NYC now and there is a lot of competition but I am happy with my prices and have no plans of ever raising my prices. I feel about $160 for 60 mins clients wants more of a escort like service which I don’t do. I do give MT and HE of course.

Now I know someone to keep in mind when I visit the city ?.

Many in the country are pretty expensive for the city they are in and I look for someone who can do massage first and then some MT and HE. While some of them claim to do so it has even either fully therapeutic or no massage skills. I don’t look for escort and only visit the website as I have never been sure if they can do massage or it’s Scott.

I do travel a lot for work so typically my budget would be between 90-120. If the masseur is excellent I may go to $150 but then the reviews have to come from here and the masseur must be hot. If people are able to earn more than that good for them.

I was playing with my prices and was thinking of charging $140 but $5 isn’t much of a difference. Unlike a lot of the guys that advertise I live in a new building in a very safe area. I went to a provider a couple of months ago that was really nice but the area was so sketchy.

I moved to NYC in sept and even with Covid I am paying $2650 a month for a studio in Hell’s Kitchen.
