I would be willing to guess that most Grindr guys don’t really know the business.
Ever since they’ve deleted prices on RM, the entire pricing scheme has gotten much
more opaque. Overall, I’d say it drove up the prices on the pro’s and drove down the
prices on the amateurs, but that‘s only my impression.
 
Just like some guys were attracted to street trade back in the day, some guys prefer
the amateur experience. Searching for the diamond in the rough can be fun and
sometimes the Pros are just a little too polished.
 
The down side is the same as there was with street trade. More drugs and less reliable.
But it’s not like those issues don’t plague the Pro side as well. Sometimes even more so.
At the end of the day, it’s an interaction between two humans, and thus the real life variables

I’m friends with a young provider. He doesn’t advertise anymore but we still meet. And we have even traveled together and I just pay his expenses, he doesn’t charge for “his time” during the travel. He’s a good guy. I enjoy his company. And I want to believe that he also enjoys mine. it doesn’t happen overnight... don’t force it. It should develop organically.
