Saw him last month and was *very* pleased. At that price point and given your prior conversation, I wouldn't think sending a pic is a crazy request.  I see this as a red flag and you may not get what you are looking for.  $400 is on the very high side for massage even  if you've negotiated escort type services.   If it were me, I would move on.....

I saw him a couple months ago. He was very friendly but did talk a lot, which is mostly fine and I didn't say anything about that. His technique was...inconsistent? A bit all over the place instead of the usually back, shoulders, arms, etc. He also had a little BO. It was fun but I'm not sure I'd see him again - especially since I saw he charges $200/hr now.

Saw him about 18 mos ago.....OK massage, decent extras.....nothing remarkable.  Nice guy, but a little chatty.

All I can say as someone who reviewed him positively here is that I am also in my 50s. It does sound to me as if your questioning may have been perceived as aggressive. “Therapeutic erotic” makes perfect sense to me and describes his style well. And unfortunately $250 has become standard for erotic outcall massages in LA.

Just now saw this thread. Met again with Brad/Chris about a month ago after about three years of him being off the radar. Same old very laid-back, low-key, masculine guy, but he's now in somewhat- leaner shape, with less puffiness, and just neater and more "groomed"-appearing. Still somewhat beefy, but that somewhat roidy appearance is mostly gone.  
His ad pictures seem to vary now and don't always feature his current appearance, but some do. Pictures rotate at times, so mentioning specific ones may not help. 
As always, be respectful and let him take the lead, suggesting areas you'd  like him to work on. Mentioning 'sensual' in pre-meet planning may help if that's what you seek.  Entirely nice guy. After developing some trust, you may want to politely and respectfully ask about special requests. 

Also saw him about 3 years ago.....nice enough guy, but i had to take the lead on everything.  He's very chill....like getting a massage from a football buddy.  HE had no issue getting naked, so-so massage back then but perhaps he's improved, standard xtras - MT/HE.   I tried to book again, but schedules never synced up.   I wouldn't expect a world class massage, but if you want to hang naked with a jock for an hour or more I can think of worse ways to spend an hour.  He was open to suggestions and happy to please.
