I met several men using DMs on IG. My advice is to keep your messages succinct and polite.
I used to say to guys with ‘fitness’ or ‘muscle building’ profiles that I wanted to get in great shape and was interested in personal training IRL.
I told them I was happy to pay appropriately and I gave them a way to respond to me direct. 
I did not put anything sexual in the DM - nothing about my preferences/wishes etc.
Hot guys get a lot of DMs so you want your messages to stand out in a good way. 
I agree.
What surprised me is that several guys told me how nice it was to get a serious message.
It turns out that lots of DMs are crudely written and crass.
Not so much “OMG you’re so hot!” but more “Wanna fuck?” or “How much? I’ll swallow your load”

For those who hire via Instagram, do you have any tips on profile hygiene or how to curate your IG profile to improve chances of success?

I don’t care if he’s using a standard of beauty to his advantage as a provider, I am more interested in if he looks like his pics and actually provides a good experience for clients.

Vegas is also a big destination for bodybuilding events.

Beyond cities, you may want to keep track of when and where major bodybuilding competitions (NPC, IFBB, Mr. Olympia) are occurring. Unlike gay circuit parties, this is when bodybuilder providers are looking for financial support to attend and compete in these events, which can be signified by an uptick in RM ads to those cities.

I would also recommend searching the forum for best practices provided by experienced members how to approach and communicate discreetly with bodybuilders on social media or other channels. Good luck!

Some providers prefer digital payment methods over cash. It is helpful for validated providers in other locations that require advance deposits, or for acquiring potential provider from more informal channels.

Beyond reductive stereotypes in the thread, I think it’s fair to generally examine the value of an experience with a total top if they have a lot of restrictions, while potentially not having the best personality for clients.
The issue of dick size is subjective, but fair game to note.
I would also keep track of his current look as he is not as muscular as he was before the pandemic when he used to date another provider.

I prefer 90 min for massage experiences. If it is ultimately not a match or the experience is going poorly, my view is that I can end the session early at any time and pay the provider their full fee for their time (assuming something absolutely egregious didn't occur).

Some of the IG accounts he follows are not the type of accounts you’d expect a straight guy to follow, but maybe he’s just heavily connected/interested to the NY/LA entertainment scene.
I do appreciate his methodical and fair approach to reviews. The first YouTube video from him was his review of a Hong Kong Ritz Carlton that is famous for the best views of the city.

Calculated risk is part of the fun with this hobby.
 
LA has plenty of other providers as alternatives, so it’s not as big of a loss if it doesn’t work out.
 
Or I can just go to a concert or go to a great restaurant. Cities like LA and NYC always keep you entertained when men can’t keep up.

Leaving this as a datapoint. Had him over as a bottom, rate was 500/hr. Decent bottom, did everything I asked for, and has a decent mouth. Not great at deepthroating though, but would recommend if you've got the money.

He likes thongs, can dance, AND is in touch with his feminine side? With that body? He must be a blast to spend time with!
