I can't tell if he's really travelling or just soliciting for video services.  I can tell, however, that I would genuinely appreciate it if he would kindly sit his ass firmly upon my face.

    I disagree .
The combination of gym culture / healthy lifestyle and the commonality of mixed ethnicity families all do contribute to a generation of men who look extremely handsome /healthy and different from past generations.
Not to say that we don't grow less picky as we get older ...but I definitely see more men who fit all my usual preferences than when I was in my 20s.

Thrilled to say that I'm doing much better since I originally posted this nearly two years ago. I quit drinking in September of 2017, finally found an anti-depressant that works well for me, started a new career about 9 months ago, adopted a coonhound named Lewis who I love to pieces, currently remodeling my house so I can sell and move into a bigger place, and things have pretty much never been better.

Quitting drinking was key. It was a good move. I recommend it to everyone.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I don't have anyone to talk to so it's nice to be able to come on here and vent anonymously.

I've never tried getting spanked with hand or paddle.  My preference is that he takes off the belt he's wearing and beats my ass with that.  I love the sound it makes as he's unbuckling, sliding it off, and preparing it for the first strike.  The anticipation is intense.

I met a boy from seeking back in August as I often do. He’s 20 and gorgeous. He’s 6’1” with a giant Dick and beautiful ass. He’s on the row team for a top 20 University. He grew up poor.  What I asked from him was to help me be a better top.  His ask of me was to travel and learn how to make horizontal income.

He spent the last two weeks of his Summer break in August at my house.  When we get together, we have the greatest time.  We go to sex shops and pick out toys that I can use to explore bringing pleasure to his prostrate.
Our next trip together is to Paris in a few weeks.  We’re both really excited.
I taught him how to identify products to sell on Amazon. He’s making $350 a week in profit and he just started before Labor Day. He’s really hungry to identify more products and his passion and ambition is a HUGE turn on. It’s also my first arrangement that isn’t transactional hour by hour, or meeting by meeting.

For example; his compensation for Paris, per his proposal, is the travel itself. This is the first boy that I’m taking on a trip that isn’t being compensated for his time outside of the trip’s expenses. I’m worried that it’s a recipe for disaster but I agreed to it. He has a seeking mindset, not a rentmen mind set and it’s been very challenging for me to learn the difference.  When he spent the two weeks at my house, his compensation was a Prada wallet, some designer sunglasses, upgraded tech for his dorm room and a new iPad. It amounted to less than $2k for having his company in and out of the bedroom for two weeks. He was ecstatic but I had a hard time because I felt like I had taken advantage of him. This seeking thing really is a different world and a serious game changer to the traditional hiring experience.

Yeah, but I'm so self-conscious about my size that I rarely let anyone see it, let alone go down on it. I keep shorts on during sessions. Plus I'm a bottom so no pounding. I just lose all around, sexually. Unless I go the slave route to a dominant master.... which is a fun to do from time to time.

Very true in my case. I was cursed with a small dick and it's been my lifelong wish to find a man to serve. I own my home so he could move in with me. I'd do all of the cooking, cleaning, work part- or full-time to help with finances. A drink and a foot massage ready every day when he arrives home from work. Sexual servitude, of course. I would be such a dutiful and obedient househusband. Unfortunately, nobody wants a guy with a small dick - not even as a service provider as I've described.

I wasn't familiar with jock2go, so I just joined.  I searched my area and found a lot of guys who I haven't seen advertise on Rentmen in several years.  Seems like a site that maybe a lot of escorts joined a few years ago and just kind of forgot about.  Most of the profiles I looked at hadn't been updated since at least 2019.  Just my own feeling about it... I personally wouldn't contact anyone from that site.  I don't think most of them are even in the business anymore.

    Somewhat Connected
The main connections I feel are
self-identification as gay a sense of affinity with others who self-identify as gay the experience of a decades-long fight for equal rights living through and surviving the AIDS crisis The "community" I knew as a young man I think no longer exists.
Bars are much fewer in number and are not the center of gay culture as they were.
The "ghettos" are shadows of their former selves - both in terms of quantity (of ppl) and uniqueness of the culture
As society has become more accepting of gays (which is a good thing) we have also become more homogenous, more integrated with mainstream culture.  The energy and exclusivity (that "secret society") that used to exist in gay culture is diminished.
So much has moved online....where we are largely namess and faceless (like here!).
Of course, age is a factor.....I no longer need the affirmation of being with gay people and immersed in gayness all day every day.
I lived in the ghettos, and spent lots of time in the bars and clubs.  I enjoyed every minute and would not change a thing.

    Not Connected at All
    Why not?
As I am now firmly considered 'middle aged' (48yo - the gay elderly years), I look at things like Instagram and the 'gay press' and feel no connection to being gay anymore.  Gay bars and clubs, if even still in business, have lost their appeal.  Dating at this age, mostly feels a competition for consolation prizes.  Where do we derive our 'gay identity' from anymore?  I feel adrift.
Part of me feels like it is too late.  I always felt ostracized by the 'mean girl body fascists' in the large cities I lived in my gay youth - DC, Philly, SF, NYC.  Looking down the road to my 50s, 60s, and hopefully 70s, I have a sense of fear and dread being alone or relying on my straight relatives for companionship.
I'm coming off of a COVID 16 months of living with Mom in rural NC and its been wonderful connecting as an adult with her, but my return to the city looms.  For the first time in my life, I'm moving to the far suburbs to give something new a try.  It will be likely be harder to find other gay men, but I will give it my best try.
I've read so many news stories about the epidemic of gay loneliness especially for gay Gen X men.  I apologize for the melancholia here, but just searching for like souls.  This forum is one of the few places, albeit small, where I find some connection still.

This is always a hard question to answer because it was a series of revelations that happend through out my childhood and teenage years so it's hard to pin point. However, I should have realized it when I was an 8 year old boy who really, really, REALLY, liked watching The Golden Girls. Like, way more than any heterosexual boy should have
