  1. Saw, and liked, The Irishman at the Director's Guild theater when it first came out, so got to hear a great interview with Scorsese.
  2. Doesn't sound like you've seen ALL of WeHo :-)
  3. don't spend much time in West Hollywood, do you? :-)
  4. Yeah, that would be great :-)
  5. I re 15 years ago he came to WeHo for a book signing, still beautiful.
  6. I remember when I was a much younger escort, less aware I could say no, and an overnight client and I drove around West Hollywood so he could find Tina. We went from house to house to meet several suppliers he'd found on AOL. Honestly, later that night I could barely tell he was on Meth. Still, bad. 15 years ago, I was with a celebrity (minor) former client of mine at his pretty cool house in Beachwood Canyon. We went in to his giant walk in closet (so gay) and he took some Crystal out of his safe. I was shocked, it seemed out of character. Haven't seen him in years, but when I looked him up, just now, I see he's sober. Yay! In both instances I should have walked away, but, you know, money.
  7. Just tell the provider that someone else, friend/electritian/whoever, is scheduled to be at your apartment/house 30 minutes or so after you two are supposed to be finished, so "PLEASE show up on time. I'd hate for you to arrive, and then just have to turn around and leave because we won't have enough time to avoid the friend/electritian/whoever,. Thanks, very very very much looking forward to seeing you :-) " If your appointment is at night, it's more difficult. Maybe tell him you have an early flight?
  8. it's not. and before someone says that's cuz I'm old :-), it never was.

    Gym

I workout at home, the only thing I have on is a playlist.
  10. "Rawhide". What a great name for a show centered on men wearing leather boots, ladies party hats, and chaps. Also, when you think about it, "Bonanza" is pretty much on the nose, gaywise.
  11. Sure...in fantasy land. Clearly, you don't, often, talk to therapists outside of professional situations, or, when you do, they are on guard. Truth is, they bring their shit to every session. And, sometimes they check it, and sometimes the shit slips by.
  12. My sense is that a gay, older, male, mental health therapist, would be more likely to handle the information that you hire much better than a younger, gay, male therapist. They, and women of all ages, are likely to see it as exploitive, and you'll waste too much time explaining how you think/know it is not the case, in your experience Remember, the 50 minutes is about you, and you are not helped by working against their ill-informed prejudice. Good luck!
  13. The best way to protect yourself against dishonesty is to see a few escorts consistently, rather than many, constantly. The better you get to know an individual, or just a few individuals, you'll be surprised how much they reveal about themselves. Even the most guarded escorts will spill the beans about all sorts of things, once the intimacy and sense of interdependence, in a good way, is there. All healthy relationships take work.
  14. Oddly enough, I think it may have been Roddy McDowal. At a very young age, long before 13, five maybe, I noticed him and paid attention to him. It was less an attraction, and more a sense that we were kin. My first sexual crushes were the actor in Boys from Brazil and the actor playing Damien in The Omen II. Of course I (now) know better than to post photos of them. But here's my man Roddy:
  15. I used to do the same thing with Entourage. In Bosch, the wealthier characters eat at Jar. It's good; enjoy :-)
  16. It's been praised about a Million times, but now, one million and One. I love how the theme of Smalltown Boy flipped with TELL ME WHY?! Stay...and fight.
  17. I remember Loving that song, and somehow having no idea what it was about. I watch the video now, and think, Jesus, how did I not get it? And, what would have my childhood and young adult life been like, at least internally, if I had gotten it? Beautiful Boy. Grateful we still have Jimmy Somerville.
  18. I liked their other movie, Swiss Army Man, but EEO was an hour too long. My partner walked out and waited in the lobby. I stayed, but by the end I very much didn't care. Nearly all movies are much too long now. Thank you, awful Marvel movies.
  19. Cigarettes too.
  20. I know it was a staged photo, but what a great smile. Smiling naturally, while showing your teeth, is an art.
  21. It's easy to say that men who have sex with men should assume that every man has some communicable condition of some sort, and make the appropriate decisions regarding intimacy. It's easy to say, and it's true....for men with some experience. Given that a big part of many, friendly, escorts' business involves spending time with very, sometimes totally, inexperienced men, if an escort knows he has a communicable condition (Coldsore, a cold, HIV), he should take the simple precautions on his new friend's behalf. I would put some burden on clients who are experienced and savvy, but the naive ones need guidance.
  22. Friend of mine read Joseph and His Brothers and said it's one of the great books. On the level of Proust, Joyce, and Flaubert. If I remember right, Susan Sontag read it in German when the English was (long) out of print. I hope you unpacked it and loved it.
  23. Yeah, what a shame. Add me to the list of people who had Jan Quadrant Vincent Fever.
  24. The Hollywood Hills one can be very helpful about construction, parking, etc.
  25. This is a good one for sex Parties in Los Angeles. http://www.menplayla.com also, cruisingforsex.com is still up.
