  1. Love this movie. Gorgeous. Additionally, what everybody forgets to think about, is that their life together is likely going to be horrible. Both of them, particularly the Brit., are raging alcoholics. Love doesn't make that go away
  2. I get that. He stuck in a bunch of stuff from childhood, and not all of it needed inclusion. I'm a sucker for movies that have images, the chandelier, and scenes, the outdoor lunch with the family, that stick with me, and as a result forgive things, non-cohesive stories and random, unattached, scenes, too much of a pass. p.s. this movie would not be nearly as enjoyable, for me, on the small screen. I neglected to mention that. Hope you like the next movie you watch :-)
  3. that Gif is adorable, thank you.
  4. If there were no women, sign me up. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/09/style/this-party-stinks-thats-the-point.html?referringSource=articleShare
  5. I like his movies, particularly The Great Beauty, and his HBO series. The Hand of God is beautiful (I saw it in the theater). I wish he had shortened it after what happened in the alpine house, it seemed like he didn't know when to end it actually. But definitely worth seeing. (I still prefer the Amalfi Coast over nearby Naples, but he definitely opened my eyes to it's sometimes hidden depths and beauty)
  6. extraordinary film. people who don't know would swear they filmed every scene in Morocco.
  7. Those rubber sheets look super practical, and, unless that's your fetish, I can't imagine how awful they'd feel to fuck on. Darker sheets hide the stains that persist after washing. Buy cheaper ones, so you can replace them when needed w/o breaking the bank.
  8. Well this thread went nowhere. Sorry Coconut!
  9. You are most welcome. Additionally, there's much to enjoy in Athens. I've been there at the worst possible time of year, late August, and still had a great time. People don't like it, because it's crowded. It's popular because it's important. Why don't people get that? I would say, unless you're an alcoholic, the place to skip, if you had to skip a "must see", would be Mykonos.
  10. Ignore people who say "skip Santorini". It's popular because it's beautiful. Jesus Christ, those sunsets. You can and should take the Ferry from Santorini to Folegandros.
  11. I'm glad you said, "until you get it right", instead of "until you get it straight"!
  12. No time like tonight.
  13. Folegandros ! One of my favorite places on earth. https://www.greektravel.com/greekislands/folegandros/
  14. OR if you've done the massage thing, consider stepping up to Escorting! https://www.companyofmen.org/forum/82-the-deli/
  15. I don't believe in an afterlife. You might. Regardless, even though she's gone, talk to Mom every day. Give yourself time to grieve, but soon tell her you're gay, say it as if she were right in front of you. Additionally, don't frame these conversations with caveats of, "I wish", such as "I wish I'd told you this before" "I wish we had more time". Those things are true, but you already know them. So, talk like she's right there. You will not be lonely. There are gay rock climbing groups, gay reading groups, gay larping groups, gay muslim groups. Reach out. Gay is a community, so sooner rather than later, make yourself at home.

SO SO SO fucked up. And really well-made.
  17. That's a good thing for escorts to remember: If a client seems defensive or resistant to intimacy, it could simply be manifestations of anxiety.
  18. Dude, that's fucked up. That song's AMAZING Any. Time. Of. year.
  19. Wait I can't make assumptions about people I haven't met, movies I haven't seen, books I haven't read, and places I haven't visited? When the fuck did that happen?
  20. I loved this actress in Halt and Catch Fire, but I hated HATED the first episode of Station 11 so much that I can't stick with it. The story telling sucked, and that actor is entirely non-engaging. Oh well.
  21. I loved his movies Tangerine and Florida Project. Look forward to seeing this.
  22. Is that the book that the remarkable movie Downfall was based on? Presume so. Great great movie. As a skier I LOVE this mistranslation of a scene:
  23. I've told this story before, but YEARS ago I was to see a client at the Hotel Bel Air, I only knew his first name and his room number. Having been there many times beforehand, I should have known better. The front desk refused to call him without his last name, the front desk wanted to know at least why I was there, and I couldn't call him because I had no cell service in Bel Air. We worked it out eventually, basically because I refused to leave, find better cell reception, call him to get his last name, then come back.
