I don’t go anywhere without pre-advertising.
 
Pre-advertising can be anywhere from hours to weeks. During the historic Craigslist era, I’d post up in gateway cities along the way of my travels...if anything it’d pay for my expenses for the day, and get me off in the event I was horny with no clients and didn’t want to fool with Grindr and company.
 
It’s just always good to be in the know ahead of time. It would scare me to just go to a city without anything planned ahead, unless I had the resources to hang around until things got steady.

I do all 3. Option #3 helps to rank you more competitively in search results (So I e heard). Once travel dates are in the travel section and body of my ad, I'm committed to those cities. Flights and hotels have been arranged!
 
Others may test the waters and show up if the prebookings are sufficient, but that's not how I operate.

I highly recommend that if you plan on being with your guy for 3 hours, you do one of two things: either pay him his fee for 3 hours, or ask him for a 2 hour appointment with an offer of dinner off the clock afterwards. Asking to spend 3 hours with someone and saying you'll only pay for 2 ... well, how does that sound to you?

Whenever people get stuck on sex questions, I suggest switching to a restaurant scenario to help clarify your thinking.
 
This is how it would apply here: you go to your favorite diner. You’ve been craving a mushroom swiss burger. When the waiter comes over to take your order, would you hesitate at all to make it clear that you specifically wanted mushroom and swiss on your burger? Of course not! You’d ask, and you’d get it. Or he’d say they don’t have swiss and suggest an alternate cheese, at which point you get to choose if you want that alternative. Or, he’d say “sure” but your burger comes without mushroom and swiss, at which point you might ask for it to be remedied. Or you won’t, and you’ll just have to suck it up.
 
In the same way that you’d ask for mushroom and swiss if that’s what you wanted, it’s entirely appropriate to ask for cum if you want it.

I wouldn't be offended at all if a client asked me that. If you called a plumber, you wouldn't want to pay him if he only unclogged 80% of the drain. I am not sure it is even a defense. If they do not have a need to be discrete and they do not mind the risk it involves in sharing their appearance with someone, I would be ok with it as well. Some people just do not have that luxury.

So I guess the escorts that ask for a pic, stats, etc. are the ones that are picking and choosing who they want to be with. I get that now. The consensus from the majority of posters is that they are okay with this and defend that practice. You are the clients, and if you are all okay with that, that is all that matters. You all stated your views clearly, and from reading thru the posts the takeaway is most ( but not all) think it is fine for escorts to pick and choose who they work with based on appearance. For myself personally, it is kind of funny, since I am 6'1"...185 lbs. lean muscle....VGL....and hire escorts on business trips for some quick action instead of wasting time on apps, etc. Even though most any escort that would request a pic would grab me once they saw me, I would not send a pic, and would move on. Personal preference. The pic thing just turns me off. But thanks for the education, and I respect how you guys stick up for escorts that do this. If you guys are okay with it, at the end of the day, that is all that matters.

The guy is looking to keep his reputation clean by vigorously screening clients so everyone is happy. He's probably got great reviews and wants to keep if that way.
 
Yes. If you're not wanting to share the required info about yourself then that would be a good way of circumventing his screening process.

I don't see this as debatable. There is no Escort Board of Ethics. Escorts don't take an oath upon receipt of their certification. They aren't employed by a government agency, airline, hospital, or even spa that requires equitable treatment and legal nondiscriminatory practices.
 
An escort has the right to employ whatever rules, terms, preferences, quirks, or biases for who they choose to meet. You have the right to have nothing to do with that escort.

So, a couple of devil’s advocate thoughts.
 
I don’t think you can compare spending intimate time with someone to refusing to serve a meal at a Woolworth’s lunch counter in Greensboro, NC.

I like this idea for the CC because the room was less than $200/night and the facilities promoted playing in the garden and the (albeit underwhelming) dark room. I was able to book this on my own less than a month out. Having non-forum members around was also a plus.

CC is quaint but it's a little rundown and outdated compared to the smaller resorts. And if it's all forum members, the less cruisy establishments would be more open to letting us play in the otherwise common areas. However, without a good group rate, this wouldn't be in favor of providers like myself. I don't mind spending some money and not breaking even, but I'd prefer to make at least half of that back.

That is good that way the hot men do not have to walk that far to get from your room to mine and vice versa.

Do you want a place with only forum members staying? That may be an option. I did enjoy the mix with non forum members in the Canyon Club, though.

Well said, @azdr0710. Trust me, there is never an ideal set of event dates that pleases everyone. All an organizer can effectively do is choose the dates, set the schedule, and notify those interested in attending. Then let individuals decide if they can attend or not.
 
There’s very little likelihood that any weekend in season isn’t going to conflict with some other larger event. The market compression on hotel availability wasn’t all that bad as it’s the mainstream properties and Airbnb that draw the bulk of Coachella crowd. PSP isn’t inexpensive to fly into for sure but the airlines increase capacity and utilize larger jets (A320s or 737s) instead of those blasted regional jets.
 
In this instance there’s a full year’s notice and that is great for planning purposes. I’m already figuring out which escorts I’m going to hire and what manner of shenanigans we’ll get in to as well. Can’t wait.
