  1. The original post refers to it as Sex in the City recycled. It might have been escaped that trap if the setting had moved away from New York's high end lifestyle. Instead of the Million Dollar Listing setting it could have focused on another profession. Maybe even something about coping with NY's high costs, even for professionals. I'll stick with it and hope for some enhanced creativity ness season.
  2. And many do not have links in their signatures.
  3. I spent a few days with someone who was well regarded on this site but has apparently retired. It was soon after I began Prep. One morning as I was about to get out of bed he grabbed me and said, "Are you going to clean out and brush your teeth?" I was indeed, as I had done so the previous mornings which led to much fun! He started to kiss me. Then he grabbed the lube. He could tell I wanted to check, "down there" but told me to relax. It did take me bit to relax because I'm so anal, pardon the pun. Once he came he said he was staying inside until he came again. And he did. I remain amazed at what a barrier breaking session that was. Needless to say, while I think good hygiene is also good manners, Im not going to let worry ruin the moment.
  4. Thank you. After a hiatus from the site I was looking at the member profile and, as Jamie21 notes, not at the signature.
  5. I seem to recall, perhaps before the site's overhaul, that the profile of forum members who are providers included their provider name and possibly a link to their ad. Am I missing it? Has it been deleted as a feature?
  6. The massage was excellent and he is beautiful. I wish it were on a table but the pros outweigh the cons.
  7. I like the idea. DC/MAL is always at risk of flight cancelations if we get a storm. Florida reduces that risk. I might suggest Fort Lauderdale over Palm Beach as it offers more venues: bars; baths; clothing optional resorts and gay restaurants that can accommodate large parties.
  8. No. Nor is their nose hair trimmer. A case of creative marketing over product quality. Anything by the traditional brands (Norelco, Braun, Panasonic) is better.
  9. He has no phone # listed. I emailed and he said we'd have to have a video chat first but no details as to when, how, etc. Too many fish in the sea to go through all that.
  10. Yes. Not expecting perfection but enjoyed Episode 1. Look forward to the rest.
  11. Queer as Folk, Season 2: Emmett Hunneycut meets George Schickle.
  12. Yes. And it was beyond positive. Highly recommend.
  13. I think that's terrific and the suggested time makes more sense with Covid lurking. I'm happy to suggest some ideas/venues as the date draws closer. We're presently getting walloped by snow in Boston. Just thinking about Florida feels good.
  14. Having to cancel is admittedly a bummer but also prudent. Let's disregard Xxxx's comments for the moment. I am hardly alone in appreciating the efforts of ArVaGuy and others to arrange the brunch and Nate fora night out on the town. With all due to respect to Epinogos and his Denver suggestion might I suggest another option? What about Fort Lauderdale in April or May? There is a planned Palm Springs event in April so we should choose a different weekend. But getting to Palm Springs isn't easy from the East Coast. (Sorry Nate!) Midwest and East Coast members can get lots of affordable flights to Fort Lauderdale. There are also lots of venues to visit. If this idea has any appeal we could start a fresh thread.
  15. Anyone with recent experience?
  16. Used to go by another name but I can't recall. The pictures are the same. They are appealing. He's in Boston now.

    Piano Bars

I sense that there are more drag performances around since RuPaul's Drag Race hit the airwaves. Maybe we need a show about torch song singers to revitalize the genre.

    Piano Bars

A recent post about Things I Miss got me off on a tangent about piano bars. Are there any left? I remember when Boston's Napoleon Club was a 1st floor piano bar on weeknights. The upstairs dance bar only opened Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. It was a comfortable environment for a young guy figuring out his sexual identity and a a gay version of Cheers for the regulars. Martunies in San Francisco is straight but gay friendly. The Front Porch in Ogunquit Maine has morphed into a primarily straight bar but features gay performers who work plenty of gay references into their acts.

    Things you miss

Jamie21 and Skip put things in perspective and I certainly wouldn't want to go backwards in time. However, I (and I suspect many of us) do miss some of the things Woofiecmh mentions. I can do without the malls 😀, downtowns were always better. But I miss some of the staples of gay culture. Recently heard Martini's on 4th is gone in San Diego. Are there any gay piano bars left?
  20. He's changed his RM ad name from Hazam to The_RealDeal.
  21. Any updates?
  22. Some combination of maturity and common sense tells us when we've outgrown things. Are any members here planning to go Trick-or-Treating? Oh yeah, that's for kids. I guess I should be grateful that like you Joe Mendoza, if given the choice I'd rather have a cocktail and a nice meal.
  23. I'm concerned that several of DC's draws are now closed. One could attend the weekend of MAL and have a lot of fun even if not registered for the main event. Secrets/Zigfield's the drag/stripper bar is closed. The DC Eagle which got playful is gone. DC Hummer (which used to be CODE DC) which hosted a few events a year appears to be a covid casualty. There is no evidence that they or anyone else will run the clothes-check mega event at the Glorious Health Club. As much a I enjoyed brunch at Annie's it looks like it's the only venue still open. Do any DC members have other event or place suggestions?
  24. It's been a year and 8 months so forgive my memory lapses. I went on the Wet and Wild day boat trip which was a lot of fun. I went with a small group from my resort but everyone mixed well. Spartacus is fun! I enjoyed the shows at Blue Chairs. Maybe I went on off nights but I didn't care for the bars with strippers/go-go's. They looked like bored straight guys and kept trying to sell private dances. I preferred having too many drinks and camping it up with the fun bunch of old queens at the piano bar. (forget name)
  25. Has anyone watched the movie? I believe it's new to Netflix. As bad as the English dubbing sometimes was on the series I preferred it subtitles when watching late and tired. Not sure if dubbing is an option with the movie.
