  1. That was a great Times story. I liked his take on what he thought of, "His children." I just wondered if contractually he gets the season or not. He won't make that kind of money on the London Stage.
  2. Does the killing off mean Brian Cox loses a lot of money? He won't starve of course, but I'm curious.
  3. There's another post on this but it is frustrating. I posted some reviews for the benefit of other potential clients. I think it enhanced Rentmen's value. I was willing to spend $10 a month but not $20. It reminds of that graph in Economics 101 at which consumers will change behavior. As a result I dropped premium.
  4. If you think Mario Lopez is attractive, then imagine someone much more handsome than him. He is extremely thoughtful and goes out of his way to please. Even though heads turn (boys and girls!) when he enters a room he gives you undivided attention 24/7. I had an extraordinary extended time with him in Greece a couple of years ago. I looked forward to meeting him the next year when he had an east coast trip planned but he had to cancel it. Then Covid hit. I hope to connect with him again sometime. Too bad we're on opposite coasts.
  5. I'm three weeks back from Puerto Vallarta. I saw no tanks, military vehicles or armed militia. I saw a lot of older Americans who winter there. While it may lurk below the surface,I saw no evidence of crime. The streets in Zona Romantica were packed weekend nights and there was no evidence of crime. At the Beach I was asked if I wanted a foot massage or to buy some shells more times than I would have preferred 😀 but, counting my blessings, I always offered a polite, "No gracias." I can't wait to return.
  6. If we think 20 bucks a month is gauging, and providers are getting hit worse, perhaps we should all look elsewhere. Is there anything we can do to make another site more attractive to all involved? Calling Adam Smith.
  7. My credit card expired so I attempted to update. Same card # but new expiration date. In the process I noted that the charge would be 19.95. I emailed to inquire prior to seeing this thread. The reply was we "adjusted" our rates to 19.95. I was primarily paying so that an occasional review would benefit fellow clients. Much as I love my fellow man, I'm not paying an extra $120 a year to offer a public service.
  8. Some months ago I texted and received no reply. Recently saw that he was again in Boston. Texted Friday. To date (Monday) no response.
  9. I won't bother members with the present day equivalent of 8mm home home movies. However, I am grateful for the advice offered. Had a wonderful time in Puerto Vallarta and will definitely return.
  10. Does anyone know if the Elysium is permanently closed? Apparently it didn't open this summer. Facebook, TripAdvisor and other searches aren't sure. It hosted terrific sunset shows with a spectacular view.
  11. Slightly off topic...but...if you had the chance to be with Rupert Everett would you see him as he is today (which is still handsome), as he was in say The Comfort of Strangers, or some combination? Having found him so very attractive from my first glimpse I'm certainly biased. By the way, his first book, Red Carpets and Banana Skins, was cleverly written and entertaining. While he mentions his hustling to pay the bills, the characters he describes make the book.
  12. Let's hope the, gross and dirty" reference was to the facilities. 😏 In a world full of trade-offs, don't over value new and fancy. I miss some of the older and randier venues of happy memory. Flamingoes in Provincetown and the guest rooms at the A-House would never have been featured in an issue of House Beautiful but they offered an (occasional?) alternative to the upscale places that now prevail. Their like will not be seen again. As our crowd ages out, and today's Fort Lauderdale gay resorts go straight, we'll be left with just memories and stories.
  13. I've been to Cathedral City Boys Club(CCBC) and will be staying there in April to attend my first spring gathering of this group. Like Palm Springs itself, it definitely skews older. In fact, I was initially amused by, but later came to have a certain level of respect, for an elderly gent who cruised the play area using a walker!
  14. While at first blush that might sound harsh, communication, or lack thereof, from providers there does give one pause.
  15. I'm going to Puerto Vallarta in February. However, I will offer a perspective on Aruba which I've visited several times. On those occasions we traveled right after Christmas, Aruba was a safer bet for warm weather than Florida. It's an older more sedate crowd. There is only one small gay bar. However, resorts, restauraunts, cabs and fellow tourists were very accepting of a gay couple. Dutch influence maybe? I probably wouldn't recommend it if one is not a beach person as there is not much else to do. I'm not a gambler but the casinos are laid back and ideal for non-high rollers. It's also an easy flight from the Northeast.
  16. Thanks to all who responded. I ended up booking PV for mid-February. This weekend, as Boston temperatures drop to single digits (F), I'll start counting the days.
  17. The key is to be age appropriate. What I wore to T-Dance at the Boatslip in Provincetown during the 1980's won't work today.
  18. Is there an advantage to one over the other? Is paying for premium worth it? I generally only use the apps when traveling. Before my upcoming Puerto Vallarta I am considering an upgrade. I used to find more older guys on Scruff. Not sure if that is anyone else's experience. Also, any thoughts on sniffles?
  19. I am no purist regarding massages. I'm open to everything from mutual touching to full on sex. But I also think the art of massage requires a table. Do providers and/or clients agree? A mattress is just too pliable for firm strokes. A local ad caught my eye and I asked if he used a table. He replied no and I haven't proceeded.
  20. He wasn't taking multiple times. He seemed to be, "checking on it," which we took to be trying to hit on us. Ironically, he had a defined body, especially for a guy in his 70's. However, his cock ring and nipple piercings were among the largest I'd seen.
  21. Some years ago I was staying at the now defunct Windamar Resort in Fort Lauderdale. An older gentleman, knowing my room had a mini-fridge, asked if he could store his Trimix in it. I don't know how often he needed access to it, or if he wanted to play with me and my companion, but he stopped by our room multiple times a day. We were more amused than bothered. Does it even have to be refrigerated?
  22. This has been bumped myriad times but no feedback. Anyone with experience?
  23. In the early 90's I was dating the manager of a Boston (Cambridge) bar and occasionally worked the door. While we regularly had go-go boys, occasionally a popular porn model would be booked. On two weeknights we had Kris Lord, who had just made some videos. He had danced under another name in Providence. He was as lovely a person as he was gorgeous. He told one of the other dancers he was bi, but most of our gaydar thought him straight. However, he was so comfortable and polite when being grabbed and manhandled. After his first set he got hard backstage, put an elastic band around his package and quickly unsnapped his g-string. He had an appealingly bemused/detached smile while his chest, abs and butt were being touched. He protected his tool. The dollar bills were raining down!
  24. We seem to have two threads going on this. I am pleasantly pleased with the story. In fact, I'm now caught up. The storyline regarding the founders's early success and excessive ego is intriguing. Murray Bartlett never disappoints. It is more of a story than a male "T & A" tease. I got the ad version of Hulu and to watch this, Pam & Tommy and maybe the Katherine the Great series. However, the ads are excessive. I may soon drop. Not tempted to switch to ads on Netflix to save a pittance.
  25. It may have been necessary for the plot to work, but I can say from experience (as a sailor not a murderer) that it would have been more logical to bump off Tonya in deep water. More apt to be seen closer to shore and the body is more apt to wash ashore.
