Is it ? Because if you're hiring a "straight guy" to have gay sex, I'm pretty sure there's some acting involved somewhere in that mix. I have been told many times that I am outwardly "straight" in my demeanor. I am also married with kids...so again...seemingly "straight". Just none of that's the case. Am I "acting" ? Am I deceiving ? No. People often see what they want to see. Doesn't mean your outward demeanor is deceitful. I see no reason to walk around like less of a man simply because I used to go to sex parties and let multiple men fuck me up the ass and cum down my throat. People are complex creatures. Not everything fits into easily defined categories. I've known plenty of men who are married with kids, love their wife/ play football/drink beer and drive a pick up truck, who occasionally like to pick up a teenage boy at a road side rest and fuck his little white ass and cum down his throat. Identity and biology don't always match up. That guy in the truck and the teenager cruising the parking lot would likely never set foot in a gay bar..but because they are both "acting" the part of normative macho straight men, the gay sex is no longer "gay". It's just sex. Bromosexuality is very exciting to some men.

Are you "gay"? Are you "queer"? What the hell are you?!

As a person raised in the Lutheran Church, I second that opinion. Light on the guilt / heavy on the celebration. My family never once gave me a drop of guilt about anyone I was seeing. ( or at least those who I introduced to them ). From gay men to black women, there was never any judgement. Including the old grandmothers and aunties. I my mid twenties, I met an Italian guy and fell in love, I self identified as "gay" at that time. It never bothered me, and I was perfectly comfortable with people saying I was gay. Although, it's not exactly a clear definition of my sexuality, I was fine with wearing that badge. "Queer", however, is offensive I and I am saddened that young people who don't identify, sexually with mainstream people have embraced such a horrible term. There are enough people on this planet who aren't hetero-normative, that they should not feel the need to identify as strange, or bizarre. -
Is this a trans ? Those look like small breasts.

Why would I pay a restaurant to serve myself ? -
What a bizarre set list. Was that organized by someone with bi-polar disorder ? It goes from bouncy 80s to her depressing 90s Electronica with no interlude and then back again.

Black don't crack. Kravitz is sexy as a man could want to be.

Reminds me of the old "confirmed bachelor" moniker. Both matched with intention instead of failure. -
That's normal with him. If I wanted conversation, I'd go to my hair stylist, not my masseur. He's a quiet sort. That's true. But I rather like the zen quality he projects.

Sorry you had that experience. I had many good experiences with Caleb over the years (when he finds himself in NYC). Sounds like he may be getting burnt out.

My impression was that they scooped up a bunch of addicts who would do anything for "a bump" of meth. I may be wrong, but that was the vibe I picked up.

I agree that young people often struggle to "fit in" and respond in their failure with rebellion. But calling yourself "queer" isn't a rebellion it's accepting your failure. Not as someone who doesn't WANT to fit in...but as someone who CAN'T. -

I do believe anyone who lived through the 50's would view American culture as too monolithic and I also agree it was so. Sadly your choices were to play along or "leave the room". Those cultural battles of the 60's and 70's created a more pluralistic society. Thus expanding the size of that "room" so much that we can all stand in it without annoying each other. So no reason NOW to feel so "queer" that you're not welcome. -

"Fitting in" doesn't require complete submission to the predominant culture. When I was a kid growing up in Central PA we were all American first and your individuality was second. Things like homosexuality and cross dressing were verboten in the 70s. But now you find gay couples mixing in with everyone else. Fitting in is no longer an issue. But now we take that word "queer" and drag in every other marginalized group while losing the progress for respect that gay and bisexual people have worked so hard for. -

Bravo. I completely agree. It's all divide and conquer strategy. Calling yourself "Queer" is reminding yourself daily that you don't fit in. How humiliating. -

Yup. Where I grew up most of us were either Lutheran or Bretheren (or both). Amish and Mennonite are Anabaptist. -

Is it ? Then why can't you even type it in full on the site ? Clearly there is more power behind those words than the words "celery" or "cabbage". -

My family is a mix of Pennsylvania Deitsch, English Quaker and Iroquois Tribespeople. But we mostly identified, communicated and celebrated as Pennsylvania Deitsch. The "Amish" are a religious extremist subset of PA Deitsch. (The people you see at the tourist-trap "Amish Markets" are actually Mennonites). So in PA- the Amish are PA Deitsch but most PA Deitsch aren't Amish. -

Have you really ? It's still an insult. So how did y'all "take ownership"? Both "f***ot" and "qu**r" are still pejorative and meant to make someone feel bad about themselves. I refuse to accept these words simply because I am not a mainstreamer. Pretending to embrace it doesn't make you have ownership. It makes you a sucker for punishment. -
Obviously I haven't been since before Covid...and I only tried twice. But very disappointed by the crowd. Nobody particularly attractive there. The "businessmen" were rough looking ..all out of shape and their young buddies were scruffy looking /street hooker /druggie types.

I'd be borrowing many cups of sugar from his mom...if this was the "boy next door".

The 20 somethings probably don't flinch like I do when they hear "queer". Growing up in a religious conservative community, the term "Queer" was more than a cocksucker. It meant you're so fucked up in the head, you don't belong...and to the Pennsylvania Dutch, belonging to the community is everything. Cocksucking could be forgiven but "queer" was a condemnation of your worth as a human being. I hate that word. -
Where does this assumption, come from that everyone who gets married, stops taking care of themselves ? I know some do...but some of us like to keep fit.

Interesting. I've never heard that term used that way in the 70's/ 80's...so pretty sure that you're correct. No longer used. We mostly called outsiders to the order "the English".
