  1. Stumbled on this new “spin-off” and liking it so far. Now I need to find one with Amy Aquino…
  2. Went to HS 15th, in Dayton. Won award for having traveled most miles, from LA. The event validated my life choices.
  3. Would someone please describe what attending an Adonis event is like? Who lets you in? Are there demographics to the audience? Do dancers actually dance, or do they just mingle for tips? What’s the interaction like between patrons and dancers? Is there an average length to expect? (I mean Duration, btw) I have The Gaiety and Nob Hill and 20th C bars in Canada as my references for in-person entertainments not in a private space. thx
  4. Try this: attend the well-written play performed live in a theatre, by a great cast of actors. See the play. Spoiler: The clothes come off when it’s part of the story. Full frontal on stage is usually about vulnerability. The scene is set in a shower, where nudity happens all the time. Dicks out is the norm in that room. Eyes up here, pal…😏
  5. Tragic for their families, but absolutely inconsequential to everyone else watching this story, isn’t it?
  6. Eye contact. Especially from a show-off.
  7. RIP Bernie. In the 70’s I saw the two of them as Sky Masterson and Sarah Brown in a summer-stock Guys and Dolls. TV a decidedly better medium for both. All I remember is the Miss Adelaide of Miss Ruta Lee…
  8. The best place for losing lap-dance virginity is The Past. 🤣
  9. The guys who I do recall fondly were the ones I had laughs with. I mean, who knew that gays were so funny??? 🤣
  10. @Jarrod_Uncut do you believe the client who says “nothing to worry about” regarding COVID, HIV, STI’s, flu, …crabs? It’s a crapshoot for both client and provider the first time. I think we all know that.
  11. Apologies. I misread your use of Randy. 😄 Aside from and private showers and Quiet Room, people intermingle between changing, steam, sauna, the Jacuzzi liquid Petrie dish (Hot tub actually heavily chlorinated) garnished with cucumber ice rags… but I would not call it particularly cruisy. ) If you’re equally attractive to somebody else, YMMV. Occasionally the guys who blow dry their balls for 10 minutes They see all. Conversation stays low. In the hot tub and steam, you could go in, sit next to each other, and gauge risk of getting noticed under shield. You have no way of knowing who might report anything or not. Do you want to get tossed out…? Go for this: Quality body work, and I request male, for broader forearm surface contact. Who knows? I might get the session that raises the standard from a woman. Three days = 3 sessions? Repeat or rethink on bodyworkers? You won’t regret - choose the closest, because you will be a noodle and want a short drive home. The stores have been refreshed while closed with more safety in mind (they said) Even w pass, bring generous cash tip. It is a generous gift.
  12. It’s been discussed many times here before. If you want “extras” “endings” “release” “mutual touch” you should NOT go to Burke Williams, or any other spa, like those at a resort or hotel. It can get bodyworkers fired, and/or shut them down. In LA there are a hundred or so private gay masseurs who will give you those services. There are sex clubs where you can book a massage. Please do not ruin legit spas for the rest of us.
  13. Also Sneakers and Makeup…🤣
  14. Fond memories paying a cover charge for an hour or more of feeling inadequate!
  15. Caveat: Before-Times meet up He is as advertised - pics accurate at the time. Tell him up front what you’re looking for. Good communicator, kind, good sense of humor Space is small but ingenious. Many options to accommodate various scenes. If you need a hand with something he’s trustworthy.
  16. Great article. I recently caught a lovely documentary about ABT Principal Marcelo Gomes made five years ago. He addresses the acting involved. Anatomy of a Male Ballet Dancer I think it’s not very different from acting or singing a straight role in a play, musical or opera. In ballet, where every position and proximity and contact has a purpose, there is far less realism in the physical presentation of passionate love. It all has to be acted, and allowing real improvisational passion to the fore can break the precision necessary. Same with opera singers when characters cry. If they really do cry, as an actor might do, fluids developing in the nasal passages drips to throat and SQUAWK!!!! Janzen is factoring in MeToo and COVID, along with longer working relationships, in a thoughtful way.
  17. I personally don’t initiate on the first meeting. He’s either brought it up before like “light mutual touching is ok” and from there maybe he’ll create a situation of contact. Can’t hurt to ask if unsure, at the point where it seems organic for you. Look for guys with dual profiles, and really read the massage page, training and experience will be described and enumerated in profile. Do 60m massage first time, keep convo and meeting discreet. (Similar to first meetup for coffee rather than dinner and a show. $$) Say you click. If you want more, ask to schedule another visit for the extended or more mutual service, telling him you’re aware of the higher rate, and you’ll already have some sort of rapport. Tip well regardless of massage quality, though. At the very least you get a massage and a handjob, don’t make him remember you as cheap if you want to call again. 🤣
  18. At 30m mark, “I’ve really been looking forward to our meeting at X:00 and hope everything is ok” Zero response to that = fuck you. Move on to another guy.
  19. Ask female friends - they always know. Avoid in-person conversation about personal hygiene in public spaces though, if at work.
  20. In 1975, my not-out-19 year-old self read Patricia Nell Warren’s The Front Runner, which was lent to me by a summer job co-worker who figured I would find it interesting. He figured right. Over the years there have been so many rumors about a screen adaptation- what big stars might be right for Harlan, and the greater number of actors who wouldn’t go near it… My question: what’s stopping, say, Ryan Murphy, from creating a starry mini-series of it almost 50 years later? Do I maybe need to re-read it? Maybe its just not a good source for filmed storytelling. I do remember that the third voice provided a lot of exposition and descriptive character internal conflict, and that the writing of those things were a lot of my favorite bits. Have you read this book? Do you think it is time to adapt it for streaming treatment? It took place pre-AIDS, in a time of homophobia that sadly seems relevant in today’s social climate. I think it would have to be set in the 1970’s as written. We know that assembling a cast of out actors is possible today it’s actually a small group of gay characters in the story. Anybody think of who might be right for Harlan or for the students he coaches? Has this ship sailed, about to disappear over the horizon?
  21. In America, long term skilled nursing works for two classes: the Uber-rich and the indigent. Government does not pay for it unless you’re in the latter. You have to have nothing, zero, zilch, no house, no property, no retirement no savings. Don’t worry - you don’t have to actually take responsibility for unloading things when it all gets to that point. They’ll just take it once you’ve paid the last bill you can. Good thing we can be spared the worst sort of life and rely on the autonomy of choice with assisted suicide. Wait. What?
  22. There are so many variations that exist in mens dicks. Are we drawn to particular features, or just something that’s unlike our own that we know so well? I’m always fascinated by a “shower” - the inherent weighty hang of a semi, the way it moves when held at the base. Back when I was young and saw them up close for free… there was one guy whose reveal took my breath away - the proportions of meat and potatoes was generous and perfect, magnificent in motion. He loved showing it off. The inertia of it should have been used in a physics class.
  23. I think that the advent of life-extending medications and procedures has rendered the long-term care insurance model unprofitable. Looked into it years ago, and If you can get it at all, you’ll pay a fortune.
  24. I grew to love this show after enjoying the book. A single live performance is 2:50 with intermission. Wicked fans were able to stand outdoors for hours, rain or shine, to enter a raffle for front row seats. Multiple times. And now they can’t be relied upon, to sit for same running time. (less than 3hrs) Indoors. With snacks. Fukkem
