This inflation report is a disaster for the middle class, lower middle class, working poor, single mothers, etc.
Try telling that to investors, traders, and anyone with a retirement account. What is not a huge deal to you has cost the economy tens of billions.!!

i went to Panera Bread for the 1st time yesterday. 1/2 sandwich, urine cup size strawberry banana smoothie, (only size offered) and a child sized bag of chips. (1 Oz.?) just shy of $17.
It was absolutely delicious. Too, good - which made me suspect the ingredients - seed oils, MSG, corn syrup, sugar, maltitol, etc., as applicable…
Also, recently… mechanic: $1200, veterinarian: $1100, Dentist: $2900… you get the idea…
But it's not a huge deal....
3.5% increase in inflation over the last twelve months hardly describes the situation when this 12 month period began with record high inflation over the 12 months previous to that.

Once again Jarrod shows his true colors.   He has such great contempt for clients it's hard to believe anyone would want to hire him.    I have to believe that his reputation on this board as a complaining crank follows him on RM and any socials he might be active on these days.   If I ever contacted a provider and got the replies he seems to send (send me $$ for a conversation, I'm not in your city yet - chill out, do you actually want to meet or just bugging me, etc.,etc.,) I would run for the hills and tell any potential clients to not waste their money.
 

This providers treats clients with contempt.  We are nothing but cash cows for him.  I get it that this is a business but I’m offended by the disrespectful ways clients are described.

Escorting is a very complicated business. Ever consider working in retail instead? 

Further, specific to massage…. It would be smart for an independent masseur to offer a discount. 
1.) unlike masseurs and CMTs who work in spas and parlors , you take your entire earnings home, and 
2.) you can literally control the pricing to offer what appears who be a “discount” and still get your desired earnings. 
 
it’s critical to think strategically with making such business decisions. 

I can certainly understand appreciate the business philosophies described by @Simon Suraci and @jeezifonly. I am by no means saying every business should follow those philosophies.
But, for those looking to increase business, I can say I have certainly tried a number of businesses because they offered a promotion or discount. Some of which, I was very please with and continued to patronize, and others where I decided I was happier with the place I was using before them.

It depends. I certainly might. Is it a question of keeping keep my salary and haul my ass to the office every day, or reduce my salary and work from home? Is it keep my salary and cut l my hours to 20 a week, or reduce my salary and get 40 hrs? There are a lot of factors that would go into accepting a pay cut.
Likewise, if I make $450/hr on overtime, I assume my boss expects me to work just as hard when I am working for straight time rate.

If you you made $300+ an hour and you had a boss, would you agree to take a pay cut from your boss if they asked. 

I see it as a way for a provider to attract bookings on what they find is consistently a slow day (or time) for them. It’s not something that makes a difference to me as a client.
