They released all the mentally ill from jails during the height of the pandemic fear, and now we get to enjoy their company while they go about their daily insanity.

    Sound business advice.
Unfortunately if the past is any predictor, he won’t listen.
But kudos to you for trying!

I suspect your reactions (deposits, charging for messages, etc...) cost your more than you realize.  You are so concerned with billing for every minute, that I believe you lose good opportunities.  I, for one, know that I would not consider a new client deposit on a local visit.  I am certain that I am not alone.
By trying to narrow down the field so tightly that only the best clients slip through, you limit your income.
In any business, I find it more profitable to put your clients needs first.  I've known a couple of escorts that followed this model and eventually reached a point where they had so many regulars that they could be far more picky about who they see.  When you're with them, they don't seem to own a clock.  They communicate freely and just about never mention money at all.  A guy I met in Vegas invited me to shower together when we had already gone over.  Not only did he leave with a nice tip, but I'll call him every time I'm in Vegas.
You've mentioned in the past that you have trouble getting regulars.  Find some escorts that maintain regulars and learn from them.  Your way does not seem to work.  That should be apparent by now.  Time to make some changes.  If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting.

He verbalises it more. These problems happen to everyone I think. It’s worse though if your client base is spread about and travel time is a big factor. Clients messing around with soft arrangements is extremely annoying if you’re trying to make plans. I don’t travel longer than an hour maximum to see a client because I don’t need to, London has enough business, so the logistics are simpler.
Example, last week I booked a client for an evening this week. A new client so I put it down as 50% likely to cancel as we approach the day. Then I had a regular client as me for an appointment around the same time. So a dilemma….see the new client who booked first and disappoint the regular or book the regular and go back to the new client to let him know I can’t now make it. My decision was to give the new client the benefit and keep the booking. After all he did book first. So I go to the regular and tell him I’m unfortunately not available but if things change I’ll come back to him.
Sure enough….now I get a message from the new guy saying that “I might have to reschedule because of work…”. That’s all… so now it’s a ‘maybe’ and I’m supposed to hang around waiting to find out. Well sorry, I know with 95% certainty that you’ll cancel on the day. It’s a common pattern. So I’ve told my regular I’m now available if he wants to book. Likelihood is he’s made other arrangements, which is fine, but because of new clients’ messing around I’m now trying to re plan things. If you think you might need to cancel then go ahead and cancel….don’t leave it open “I might turn up or I might not”…that’s not acceptable.

Well, if we can tell stories about holiday work without the restriction of being Xmas, my first real job was at a retail store (Canada's largest at the time) over the first holiday weekend of the summer in 1964. I was 17. I was only hired for the 3 day weekend but did such a great job selling kitchen wares that they offered me a job in the warehouse out in the burbs.
I worked there for the rest of the summer and met this hunky guy, 4 years older, who only lived a block away in a rooming house from where I lived in Montreal with my parents in a large apartment similar to the ones on Park Avenue in NYC.  So we started traveling together on the bus to go to and from work. He lived right across from the Montreal Forum and that August we listened to the Beatles from his balcony as they played their concert. All we heard was racket through the open windows. My 14 yo sister had gone with her friends to scream at the event.
He had started inviting me in to his room for tea after work and I was sorely tempted to make a move on him but was too shy and awkward to make the first move and he never initiated a move. At the end of the summer another guy from the warehouse, who was also a hunk, moved in with him and they shared a double bed in that small room.
A year later he called me out of the blue just to say hi. I never heard from him again but I sometimes wished I had made that move. At the time, I was a virgin and it was too big a leap.
Oh, at the end of the summer they offered me a full time job but I declined as I was going off to university.

That’s it. But money isn’t the only reason, it’s part of the story yes but there’s also the fun of meeting people and the thrill of the work. You can’t do it for long if money is the only reason.

In some aspects yes, in some aspects no. For example in my personal life I tend to wear clothes more often and when I’ve finished fucking them I don’t ask how they’d like to pay 😂.

Seriously though…we all play roles in our work. Whatever work that is.
