Yeah, I don't know why people would want to diss you just for working through your experience on the message board. Seems to me that's what it's for, right? Sorry it went south for you, but lesson learned, etc. We've all had similar moments.

This is new to me. I was clearly taken advantage of both financially and emotionally. My bank account is good and I will heal. But now if I publish a review it will have a great adverse impact on his client base. Which in turn will place him in an untenable finanial situation, perhaps losing apt etc. This is something I just do not want to do. Best thing I just walk away with a lesspn learned.

So very true. Just went through a tough "learning" experience. Now the provider has contacted me again. I'm trying to decide weather to respond or completely ignore him. In this case he really does NEED what I have.

i cant believe how grown adult men get caught up constantly thinking (or hoping) that a very attractive male escort will become best of friends or better yet, having the notion that the said hooker will hopelessly fall in love with the old guzzard and live happily ever after. its unbelievable to me.

this is a business transaction. not a bad thing at all. keep it that way and no one gets emotionally hurt.

case in point. there is a newer dancer at one of the clubs where i live. big muscle guy. handsome but after chatting with him a few times can tell he is somewhat of a wild guy. not bad just young with that sort of energy that when not focused can be dangerous. i chat with him and give him a few bucks now and then yet he seems to always say or do something that is off putting to me. so i go a few weeks ignoring him and it drives him nuts. well last night he comes up to me and asks how i am. i told him i have been having some health issues lately. he looks at me and says "lets talk about it when i get done with my next set in 30 minutes". ok i thought. the nice side comes out. so i eventually go over to give him a few bucks while on the box dancing as a nice gesture to his kind words. first thing out of his mouth when he bends over is "yeah..i knew you couldnt stay away from all this hotness for long". he wasnt saying it with any kind of brevity. more like a "i got you you fag...no one can stay away from this hot straight guy" type of talk. fine in the bedroom but not at all appropriate where it was being said. i was putting my second dollar in his g string when he said this. right at that moment i not only stopped putting the second dollar in there, i took the first one out. i looked up at him and said " the smile is nice, work on the muscles getting harder and the big mouth has to go for sure".

guys...you have to always remember... these guys have what you WANT but more importantly we have what they NEED. keep this in mind and you will have very little problems.

One of the variables to consider...is the date (time of month). No I'm not kidding. When a guy has a reputation for being difficult to reach or doesn't respond, wait until the end of the month or first few days of the next month before you contact him. The need to make rent is an awesome motivator!! Same applies for world travelers - the last few days in town are the best to reach them and if they have had a slow visit, they are looking to make up for it; that hotel bill needs to be paid... I won't call it a rule, but it is just my experience.

Flakes and jerks are on both sides of the “aisle”. I would recommend you to have someone for a weekend only if you met him before unless he has great recommendations.

For the record I have said nor done anything that could be construed as untoward. I have ask for nothing except we spend the weekend together. We have communicated several times since our first meeting hence the weekend meeting
I don't think any of this could be considered funny.

No I don't particularly have a thing for bad boys and this guy did not strike me at all as being troubled, though I did detect a bit of a quick temper. In fact I remember being impressed that he seemed a responsible young man with a definite plan for his future. He was in school when I first started seeing him, had a steady job and his own place after that and has, to my knowledge, not advertised his services since he started working. I believe I was his only remaining customer and I did consider him a friend. We'll see what happens.

The naïve me from 10 years ago tried to help a guy for several years as he went in and out of county jail with misdemeanor charges, inability to pay fines etc. I saw that as helping him to get back on his feet. Although originally we met in the escrt context, it evolved into a friendship and did not involve sleeping together. I even met his probation officer once. It was all futile. I think his problems were/are rooted in some psych issues which were never addressed by the system who only knew how to handle the resulting law enforcement issues by throwing him in the jail. His problems affected the naïve me in many ways and severely disrupted my life. Eventually it all got too much for me to handle. I learned a lesson in life - sometimes you just have to let things go and that sometimes there are problems for which you have no solutions.

I've gotten calls from relatives in jail (notably my brother)...wanting some strings to be pulled and gears greased. I didn't.

Never heard from a hire in trouble, though. And I'd turn him down if I did...assuming I even acknowledged the request. When I was an escort, I'd never have contacted a client if I got in trouble. I'd never put them on the spot or open them up for investigation on a pandering/solicitation charge. I wouldn't seriously consider it. Calls are monitored and letters are opened and read.

Dangerous to avoid calls since they are by far the best way to get a sense of someone -- the human voice can reveal a lot. The fact is, people are afraid of calls coz they can't control the discourse whereas you can shape a text message or email -- it's a different landscape. My best escort experiences by far have always been with people who are comfortable on the phone and turn out to be comfortable in themselves, too.

It's gotten easier to hook up with randoms over apps like Grindr, Scruff etc. than to hire an escort. Hardly worth the time and effort to even try anymore. Well, at least I am saving $

Unfortunately, we have given these ingrates the upper hand. Often they are in hot demand and/or they suffer from personality deficiency disorder. It is interesting to note that many of those who are guilty of being jerks are not well known. While, not all of them are assholes many of the ones, who are new to being prostitutes, are that way.

Seriously, in Europe because few escorts speak English or other clients' languages they have to have "agents". Latin friends of mine in the US also have agents because of language. It is amazing how much easier it is. The provider makes much more money because they have a professional answering texts and scheduling while they can be performing other, more valuable services. A $300/hr sex provider has no business doing $12/hr secretarial work. And even if it causes him to lose even one client a week that's more than an agent would cost.

When my Argentine partner visits and works out of my guest house we talk all day. In the morning his agent texts his schedule of clients so far for the day so he can plan any free time. Later the agent texts additional evening add-ons. He also texts when the client is outside at the meeting point. If he wants the day or part day off he texts so to the agent. He would never in a million years pull his phone out in front of a client. That is awful. He says he gets twice as many clients than handling it himself for which he pays a discounted 10%. (Volume, he's hot). Most pay 15%. That's of base, not tips or add-ons and he's a masseur so there's a lot of add-ons.

From a client's viewpoint it's great because you get quick responses and prompt scheduling. Like scheduling a dental cleaning. Unfortunately you think you're chatting with the provider but there's rarely misinformation as to services. They even know the extra charges. The only complaints from providers is when their agents are not doing their job well enough. But they'd never consider doing that secretarial work themselves. Just like a $300/hr professional wouldn't handle their own phones and scheduling.

I have no idea why only latino providers seem to use agents in the US. Getting responses even from repeat providers is like pulling teeth. It's awful.

Forgive the headline - I don't mean to be dramatic, but I'm down in San Diego for work this week and reached out to three different escorts on RM about a potential meetup within the last week, and I got:

    One e-mail response back with a request if I could host, which I agreed to and then he never responded by e-mail or phone after a week of attempts;
One who was upset I called him on his RM phone number while he was driving and asked to call back when he wasn't driving (my clairvoyance is not as keen as his); and
One who was annoyed by phone when I asked about what he specialized in/liked to do. (Ambiguous ad, hot photos. Wanted more info...)

It seems like for two months its been like this - reach out and ask and get rejected as if you're trying to date them. Maybe its the 'gentleman' I've been interested in hiring; however, it just seems counterintuitive that one would advertise their services and not reciprocate with courteous interest or helpfulness.

Maybe its' just the reality of the "business" in that it operates in a grey area and we get-what-we-can-get. I don't know. Maybe it's just bad luck.

Would any of the seasoned commentators be willing to offer some commentary or sage advice? I'm flummoxed at this point.

I actually think he's real, and he just didn't realize that guys checking him out on renmen would also find him on Instagram. If I had to guess, someone on this board probably contacted him on Instagram and tipped him off.

He my end up being a firefighter and not a cop, but I’ve never heard “blue lives matter” as a reference to firefighters. It’s a response to “black lives matter” which was a response to cases of unarmed black men being shot by cops. Putting the politics of those slogans aside, I don’t see why someone would use it in reference to firefighting. Unless there’s stories of black men being thrown into burning buildings that I wasn’t aware of?
