I won $40 on a $20 dollar ticket, but the $10 ticket paid nothing. I did see a ticket once that paid $100,000. It wasn't mine.

There is so much contradictory information out there. Still no info as to how omicron affects those with HIV or diabetes or old age.

Another Warning To Be Careful Who You Pick Up At A Party....
+ Lucky replied to + azdr0710's topic in The Lounge
People don't advertise their rap sheets, but sometimes circumstances make you suspicious. when two guys at a Rio bar latched onto me, with no apparent reason other than to be "friendly," I ditched them as soon as I could. It just didn't make sense that they would have such interest from the moment they saw me...or imagined my wallet. -

How was the victim supposed to know about their rap sheets? -
I forgot to mention that one needs to keep watching when the credits roll as there are two funny epilogues.

Leo Di Caprio and Timothy Chalamet are not just eye candy here. The movie is a hoot. I laughed out loud throughout. Highly recommended.

The show has closed early due to COVID. Trevor: The Musical has ended its Off-Broadway run. On the morning of December 20, the show, which was originally booking at Stage 42 through April 2022, announced a closing date of January 2. Later that day, the show canceled its final two weeks of performances after Covid-19 cases were detected in the company. https://www.newyorktheatreguide.com/news-features/trevor-the-musical-closes-early-off-broadway

Thirty minutes into Being The Ricardos we were bored, so watched Fair Haven on Amazon. It's good.

Just for the fun of it, we watched the original movie of West Side Story from 1961 this afternoon. It's just as good, if not better, than the current release. I actually liked the 1961 sets better, as well as the performance of the song about Officer Krupke. The cast was really good on that. Richard Beymer as Tony was the cutest guy in the cast.

No one questioned your integrity.

We saw West Side Story this afternoon and really liked it. Sure, some of it is a stretch- those singing and dancing gangsters to start- but the essence of the original is beautifully captured. And, speaking of beautiful, Ansel Elgort worked for me! There's a place for us!

Of the approximately 150 books I read this year, I gave 5-star reviews to 21 of them. If I picked just the top three, they are Razorblade Tears by S.A. Crosby. Ascension by Oliver Harris, and Alpha: Eddie Gallagher and the War For the Soul of the Navy Seals.

I just finished Andrew Holleran's The Kingdom of Sand. It's an ARC, so I won't say much about it, but the topics are aging and dying... It's his first novel in 13 years.

Amor Towles' The Lincoln Highway should be titled A Book of Tangents. He is constantly going off on one!

Many theaters on Broadway- and Off- are canceling performances due to COVID infections among the staff and performers. The NY Times reports: (in part) The closings began almost as soon as Broadway reopened. On Sept. 28, the Disney musical “Aladdin” resumed performances at the New Amsterdam Theater; the very next day, the show closed for 12 days, citing breakthrough cases. Since then, there have been a handful of closings at other shows — the lengthy shutdown at “Chicken & Biscuits,” and shorter Covid-related shutdowns at “Chicago,” which went dark for a five-day stretch last month, and “Wicked,” which lost a weekend early this month. And it’s not just theater: The acclaimed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater canceled its performances Wednesday and Thursday, citing positive coronavirus tests. Plus there have been additional cancellations of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” and “American Utopia” that the producers said were not Covid-related. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/15/theater/broadway-coronavirus-cancellations.html Image

Lots of experience with Studio One. The hottest guys who showed no interest in hooking up until the minutes before closing time. Then a flurry of activity. For many guys, their task was simply to look beautiful without acknowledging anyone.

Well, I find this a curious start to a thread. Porn starts? You edited your posts but not the title. And who are Jack and Bruce? I have no idea. And why would you flake on an opportunity for free sex with a porn star...or porn start? 😀

Generally if you are already on the table when the cops come, they finish the happy ending before allowing you to dress and leave. In some cases, the cop will himself have a happy ending by tossing you in jail! @CheckCar: @Cooperanswered your question yesterday.
