DWsoccer reacted to Dicastri in *Yet another warning about deposits
Yes, please leave the conversation. It’s best for you.
You dishonestly imply that the degree of difference in intensity between the outcomes in my analogy nullifies my main point: that both a person who declines a heart surgery because of hearing about the risk of complications and a person who declines to pay a deposit because they have heard about people stealing deposits may miss out on something that would have benefited them somehow.
It is indeed best that you retire from this conversation.

I'm done with this conversation now. You can have the last word. Your failure to comprehend the argument does not mean it isn't there.

Apparently I was right not to be optimistic. 😉

Your BEST bet was to not post at all- as all you can now do is feign intellectual and argumentative superiority with sentences like this, even when it is clear you had no argument.

Lol yes it’s a difference in intensity of negative outcomes from not agreeing to something. That is obvious, and the degree of difference between death and not seeing a hot guy because you declined his deposit is as plain as day.
I can tell you’re being disingenuous because you focused on the difference in intensity between the two scenarios I am analogizing, rather than the fact that in both scenarios, a service that entails risk is being declined.
As the heart patient could have benefitted from the surgery, the client could have benefitted from that fun time with a provider he was interested in. The intensity of the outcomes is not at all the point.
-
DWsoccer reacted to Mark_fl in *Yet another warning about deposits
Certainly, although I'm not optimistic. The risk of not having necessary heart surgery is generally death or worse.
The risk of not sending a deposit is that you can't lose your deposit. Or worst case scenario you have to find provider that trusts you as much as you trust him.
Hardly apples to apples.

DWsoccer reacted to Mark_fl in *Yet another warning about deposits
I can think of a way to reduce that risk to 0.0%

This is silly. Using this logic, the most crime-ridden city in the world would be deemed safe since there are more incidents of people not getting mugged than getting mugged.
That doesn't make anti-deposit sentiment "hysteria." It makes it common sense.

It's so strange to me that people feel the need to be so randomly mean to others on the Internet for no apparent reason. Especially to good people......
I met Danny many years ago and aside from his amazing looks, he was very kind to me and had a charming personality. Truly a good guy.

DWsoccer reacted to tenderloin in NYC Consumer Alert - Victor Velez
What you are missing is that I did not hire him again. I happened to notice recently that he was advertising again with a different name and simply wanted to alert my fellow customers that this was the same guy. I thought that was the purpose behind this forum - to keep consumers educated about the market.
Is that ok with you? If not, then by all means please go ahead and hire him.

DWsoccer reacted to Venite in Worst experiences of 2024?
What are your worst experiences with either providers or clients in 2024? Here’s mine.
Preface: Don’t laugh at me lol.😂
I saw a new Latin provider in SF in June. He bottoms.
Instead of $350 (the rate he literally wrote to me and we agreed upon in RN chat) he demanded $400, claiming that was his rate. I told him he couldn’t engage in a service and then plan to charge a higher rate than the earlier agreed-upon rate.
He then said ok and told me to stick my penis inside him again, because he “loved it”. Guys….. he then shat douche water all over me, on purpose. I should have known what he was up to when he was straining as if constipated. The poop was voluminous. He was laughing kind of maniacally too. I forced him out and blocked him on RM.
He’s changed his name so many times and seems to have deleted his RM profile. I don’t know if he’s still out there terrorizing clients with his diabolical butt.
Other worst experiences this year? With a client or provider.

Not "judgy" - factual. You just say "judgy" because you give excuses for everyone to be a victim and seem to have little regard for personal accountability.
Re: Eric Gardner. Yes, he should have taken measures to not be so overweight. As well, he shouldn't have been engaged in illegal activities. Did he deserve to die? Absolutely not. But he put himself in that position.

Mangione and Penny are two very disparate individuals.
Luigi Mangione is a coward; a cold blooded murderer.
Daniel Penny is a patriot and a hero. A patriot for stepping up and volunteering to serve in the military. We should never forget it is thanks to Daniel Penny, and those like him, that we enjoy the rights and freedoms that so many take for granted... but shouldn't! Penny served his country honorably to defend the rights and freedoms for every American, even for those whose opinions we find to be vile and abhorrent.
Penny was a hero to EVERY person on that subway car. He is also a hero to millions of NYC subway riders who take mass transit every day, not because they want to, but because they have to. These are folks, by and large, who work hard, follow the law, and only want to get to their jobs and back home to their families safely. Neely was a drug addled, homeless degenerate. He was threatening every person on that train. His absence will not be missed. In fact, it should be applauded.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

That's exactly my point. Daniel Penny didn't "get away with" anything, good looks or otherwise. He had altruistic motives, not evil ones. The more you make excuses for bad behavior and propagandize victimhood, the worse society becomes. This is relevant to this discussion, because acknowledging Daniel Penny as attractive, if one does, is not a "criminal fetish" as it is with Luigi whatever his last name is.

I don't feel sorry for people who threaten other people's lives, nor will I sanctimoniously try to condemn those who sacrifice their well-being to keep others safe. Luigi had evil malice. That was absolutely not present at all in the other instance referenced.

Comparing apples to oranges here. Unlike the CEO killer, this guy was protecting people's lives from a crazy societal degenerate who was threatening the lives of people on the metro.

Yes, you were making excuses for bad behavior. He was mentally ill, he had a drug problem, he was homeless.........yes, these are all sad conditions, but none of them excuse his multitude of crimes against a number of people throughout his life. EVERYONE has problems. Some people address them, and others take the easy path. Some are better equipped to deal with problems than others, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.
At no point did I ever "mock" the man who died on the subway, nor do I take pleasure in anyone's death, as you alleged. I have no idea where you got that idea. I simply pointed out the huge difference between the two people who were responsible for the victims' deaths.
I will never excuse people who put others in danger, regardless of their sob story or background. There is never an excuse.
